Abstract: A humidifier/dehumidifier device is disclosed herein. The humidifier and dehumidifier both, respectively, evaporate water from and condense water into a shared (same) water storage container. The device is fitted with an air intake and at least one air outtake. In embodiments of the technology, one or more of the air intakes receives air from outdoors. One or both of an indoor and/or the outdoor intake is used to receive air based on a determination that an indoor and outdoor humidity and temperature is most efficient to achieve a desired indoor humidity or temperature.

Abstract: A mosquito repeller includes a casing, a mosquito repellent liquid bottle, and a first heating element installed in the casing. The first heating element includes a first heat-generating body and a cotton swab. The first heat-generating body is inserted into the cotton swab, and an end of the cotton swab away from the first heat-generating body extends into the mosquito repellent liquid bottle. Since the first heat-generating body is inserted into the cotton swab, heat is concentrated at the center of the cotton swab, and the cotton swab is heated uniformly, and the vaporization of the mosquito repellent liquid is stable to improve the mosquito repelling effect of the mosquito repeller, while reducing the power consumption of the mosquito repeller, saving energy, avoiding a temperature rise of components near the heat-generating components, retarding the ageing of components, and extending the service life of the mosquito repeller.
Abstract: A vertical humidifier with a stepped evaporator includes a housing. An evaporative water trough is provided inside the housing, and the stepped evaporator is provided in the evaporative water trough. A fan is mounted under the stepped evaporator, and an air inlet end of the fan is communicated with an air inlet of the housing. A water tank is further mounted at the upper portion of the evaporative water trough, the stepped evaporator is mounted around the lower portion of the water tank, and the water tank is further communicated with the evaporative water trough through a water inlet. An air outlet is provided at the upper portion of the housing, and the air outlet is communicated with an air outlet end of the fan. The stepped evaporator is arranged in an airflow channel between the air outlet and the air outlet end of the fan.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a new quick-connect, bayonet-type coupling arrangement for use with connecting a filter cartridge or element to a fluid-consuming machine. Advantageously, the features of the coupling arrangement can be provided while simultaneously maintaining backward compatibility with screw-thread based systems by modifying the screw thread on the end cap so as to include judicially arranged non-interfering segments. Accordingly, the disclosed fluid filter elements can not only be installed on systems according to the present disclosure but also on prior-art systems presenting a thread-based connector.
Abstract: A beverage aeration apparatus is used to generate air bubbles within a contained beverage, preferably wine, to enhance the overall visual appeal of the wine. The apparatus is also configured to improve the overall scent of the wine by providing contact with air, which stimulates the release of various fragrant tones contained within the wine. A pump connected to a hose provides a constant flow of air into the bottom of a wine glass, thus allowing that air to flow up through the wine and gather smells and scents contained within. The bubbles may be controlled to flow at different rhythms or rates to provide an interesting visual pattern for the user to observe. Furthermore, the apparatus may be configured to provide spray nozzles or tools to cause the wine to eject at various angles and pressures, thus providing a dazzling wine show within the wine glass.

Abstract: A carbon dioxide capture facility is disclosed comprising packing formed as a slab, and at least one liquid source. The slab has opposed dominant faces, the opposed dominant faces being at least partially wind penetrable to allow wind to flow through the packing. The at least one liquid source is oriented to direct carbon dioxide absorbent liquid into the packing to flow through the slab. The slab is disposed in a wind flow that has a non-zero incident angle with one of the opposed dominant faces. A method of carbon dioxide capture is also disclosed. Carbon dioxide absorbing liquid is applied into packing in a series of pulses. A gas containing carbon dioxide is flowed through the packing to at least partially absorb the carbon dioxide from the gas into the carbon dioxide absorbing liquid.

The gas inlet manifold has a gas inlet configured to receive and provide an inlet gas, and also has a gas foamer cavity formed therein and coupled fluidically to the gas inlet to receive the inlet gas. The liquid inlet manifold has a liquid inlet configured to receive and provide a non-infused liquid, and also has a liquid foamer cavity formed therein and coupled fluidically to the liquid inlet to receive the non-infused liquid. The gas/liquid mixing foamer is configured between the gas inlet manifold and the liquid inlet manifold and arranged in the gas foamer cavity and the liquid foamer cavity. The gas/liquid mixing foamer has a gas foamer wall configured to form a gas receiving foamer chamber that is fluidically coupled to the gas foamer cavity. The gas foamer wall has gas provisioning holes formed therein to provide dispersed inlet gas from the gas receiving foamer chamber.
