  • Patent number: 11184942
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a WTRU to operate using multiple schedulers. The WTRU may exchange data with the network over more than one data path, such that each data path may use a radio interface connected to a different network node and each node may be associated with an independent scheduler. For example, a WTRU may establish a RRC connection between the WTRU and a network. The RRC connection may establish a first radio interface between the WTRU and a first serving site of the network and a second radio interface between the WTRU and a second serving site of the network. The RRC connection may be established between the WTRU and the MeNB and a control function may be established between the WTRU and the SCeNB. The WTRU may receive data from the network over the first radio interface or the second radio interface.

  • Patent number: 11184831
Abstract: A solar-powered device (SPD) relay node is coupled to a remotely-located “leaf” node in order to provide the leaf node with network access. The SPD relay node routes network traffic to and from the leaf node via one or more different paths that traverse other SPD relay nodes that reside upstream of the SPD relay node. The SPD relay node determines a specific path across which to route the network traffic based on several different factors associated with the upstream SPD relay nodes, including battery level, solar generation rate, and link quality. The SPD relay node generates a routing metric for each upstream SPD relay node based on these different factors and then routes traffic across the upstream SPD relay nodes based on the routing metric and based on a priority level associated with the network traffic.

  • Patent number: 11184907
Abstract: A configured-grant configuration can be received. The configured-grant configuration can configure periodic plurality of UL repetition bundles, each UL repetition bundle including a number of PUSCH repetitions. The periodic plurality of UL repetition bundles can include a plurality of transmission occasions. A first TB can be transmitted in UL resources corresponding to at least a portion of an UL repetition bundle of the periodic plurality of UL repetition bundles. An indication can be received from a network. A transmission occasion among the plurality of transmission occasions of the periodic plurality of UL repetition bundles can be determined based on the indication to transmit a second TB in UL resources. • Patent number: 11178685
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may transmit a UE-generated uplink message to a base station to request resources for an uplink transmission. The UE may be configured to send the message (e.g., a scheduling request (SR)) using different transmission modes. For example, the UE may transmit the SR using a scheduled mode where the UE conveys the SR along with another uplink message (e.g., a control message). In some examples, the UE may transmit the SR using an autonomous mode where the UE transmits the SR in resources reserved for SR transmissions. The UE may determine which transmission mode to use based on certain characteristics of the SR or the data associated with the SR.

  • Patent number: 11166310
Abstract: In a device to device (D2D) communication scenario such as vehicle to anything (V2X) communications, channel access of a device such as a user equipment (UE) may not be controlled by network devices. Using the disclosed channel access mechanism, a device may autonomously access a channel for transportation related communications. A device may determine to transmit a data packet in a portion of bandwidth. The device may select a listen before talk counter defining a time period to wait before beginning a transmission of the data packet. The device may sense the portion of bandwidth during the time period for transmissions of other UEs occupying frequency resource blocks within the portion of bandwidth. The device may select unoccupied frequency resource blocks within the portion of bandwidth based on the sensing. The device may transmit the data packet on the unoccupied frequency resource blocks after the period of time.

  • Patent number: 11166263
Abstract: An access node (100) of a cellular network sends an uplink grant to a communication device (10-A, 10-B, 10-C). The uplink grant indicates uplink radio resources allocated to the communication device (10-A, 10-B, 10-C) in reoccurring time intervals. The access node (100) monitors a uplink radio resource, configured before each of the reoccurring time intervals, for an indication of intention to transmit uplink data by an uplink transmission on the indicated uplink radio resources in the corresponding reoccurring time interval. In response to not detecting the indication and determining a need for an uplink transmission in the corresponding reoccurring time interval by a further communication device (10-A, 10-B, 10-C), the access node (100) reallocates the indicated uplink radio resources in the corresponding time interval to the further communication device.

  • Patent number: 11159286
Abstract: System and method of OFDMA transmission in which mid-ambles are configured on a per-user basis for channel variation adaptation. The multiple channels used in an OFDMA transmission may use different mid-amble settings based on their respective channel characteristics. • Patent number: 11140076
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for control of a plurality of forwarding switches using a network controller. The network controller executes a routing configuration application that analyzes interconnections between the forwarding switches to identify a topology of the network, determine label switched paths (LSPs) between the forwarding switches, and transmits the next hop routes to the forwarding switches. The forwarding switches use the next hop routes to route packets through the network according to a multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) protocol. Each LSP includes one or more next hop routes defining a forwarding address associated with one forwarding switch to an adjacent forwarding switch.

  • Patent number: 11140088
Abstract: A network element includes a data transfer interface for connecting to a data transfer network, a data-plane section for managing data to be forwarded, and a control section for configuring the data-plane section in accordance with configuration data carried by control-plane messages received from the data transfer network. The control section controls the data transfer interface to send one or more overload messages to the data transfer network in response to an overload situation where the workload of the control section impairs the ability of the control section to react to the control-plane messages. Thus, other network elements know that the network element that does not respond to the control-plane messages and thus appears to be non-working may still forward data even though its ability to react to the control-plane messages is, at least temporarily, impaired.

  • Patent number: 11115936
Abstract: Methods and corresponding systems for determining a transmit power in a mobile device include receiving, in the mobile device, a cell-wide power control parameter related to a target receive power at a serving base station. Thereafter, a transmit power is calculated in response to the cell-wide power control parameter and an implicit mobile-specific power control parameter. The mobile device then transmits using the transmit power. The cell-wide power control parameter can be a cell target signal to interference-plus-noise ratio, or a fractional power control exponent. The implicit mobile-specific power control parameter can be a modulation and coding level previously used by the mobile device, or a downlink SINR level measured by the mobile device.
