Abstract: A blind cover includes a waterproof layer abutting the ground and a mesh cover. A blind is inserted between the waterproof layer and mesh cover, with the opening of the mesh cover disposed to align with an opening in the blind. The blind and mesh cover are joined together with connection elements such as hook and loop fabric or clips so that the mesh cover and blind can be opened as a singular unit. Environmental plant matter can be inserted between the blind and the mesh cover at any location and at any orientation to produce a more natural look and feel as compared to the current state of the art.

Abstract: A shelter system is shown and described. A hub for a shelter system is shown and described. A frame for a shelter system is shown and described. In one embodiment, the shelter system includes a frame, a cover and a hub. The frame may be collapsible. The cover is configured to fit with the frame. The hub may include a receiver slot, a receiver sleeve and an attachment projection. The result is a shelter system with reduced set up time, effort and requirements and improved strength and ease of use. The inventions may also be considered a shelter kit and/or a shelter and hub method.

Abstract: A method for building an ice structure includes making a plurality of ice logs or ice beams and attaching the ice logs together to form a support structure. The support structure may be two or more stories high and may be constructed by freezing the ice logs or ice beams together.

Abstract: A chair for reducing a load on the buttocks and the waist, and, to a chair (100) includes a seat (110) and a backrest (130) and further comprising a spacer (120) protruding upward from the rear end of the seat (110), wherein the bottom of the backrest (130) is provided on the top of the spacer (120) so as to be tiltable rearward, and the point at which the angle of the backrest (130) is adjusted with respect to the spacer (120) corresponds to a point (P) at which the lumbar of a user body sitting on the seat (110) is curved inward.

Abstract: An improved walker includes an adjustable frame with angled portions that provide an ergonomic interface and enhanced stability for a user. The front of the walker includes a wishbone front support frame. Rather than incorporating multiple front legs extending from the top of the walker to the floor, the wishbone front support frame provides clearance on either side of a center front column. This clearance allows users to position, or maneuver, the walker close to adjacent objects. The handrail portions of the walker are pitched at a downward angle running in a direction from the rear to the front of the walker. This pitch moves the operating position of the user close to the front of walker providing a safe and stable operating position.

Abstract: Wearable systems to partially support the weight of a human user engaged in task performance in a crouched position at or near ground level are presented herein. In one aspect, the wearable systems employ passive mechanisms and the configuration of the support mechanisms is changed by movements of the body of the human user while transitioning from a standing position to a crouched position, and vice-versa. In a further aspect, each passive lower body support assembly includes an auxiliary body support structure to enhance the support of the human user in a crouched position. In another further aspect, each auxiliary body support structure is deployed in coordination with the movement of the seat support structure that supports the human user. In some embodiments, one or more body support structures are constructed from an elastic material that conforms to the ground surface when loaded by the weight of the human user.

Abstract: A seating furniture chassis comprises a base body, a fastener, and a side part. The fastener is arranged on the base body and comprises a fastening element and a spring element that exerts a spring force on the fastening element. The side part is releasably fastened to the fastener by utilizing the spring force and released by overcoming the spring force. The fastening element is moved counter to the spring force upon fastening of the side part to the fastener. The fastener comprises a first positive-fit element and the side part comprises a second positive-fit element. The first positive-fit element and the second positive-fit element are configured for a positive-fit connection to one another.

Abstract: A portable confinement device for confining a person upon a mattress is provided. The device includes a frame and a flexible enclosure. The frame includes a base member and at least two upright members. The upright members include support portions and bridge portions connecting the support portions. The bridge portions are connected to the support portions by lockable hinges. When the hinges are locked, the bridge portions are in an upright position. When the hinges are unlocked, the bridge portions are in a downward, lowered position. The enclosure is supported by and sits upon the frame to stabilize the device from tipping over. A mattress may be received into the interior space of the enclosure. The enclosure includes an opening for allowing a person to enter or exit the interior space of the enclosure.

Abstract: A chair support shell has an integral back portion, seat portion, and joining portion between the back portion and the seat portion. At least a major portion of the support shell comprises a compliant structure, the compliant structure having a plurality of cells interconnected by a plurality of resilient members. The compliant structure provides compliance in the seat portion, compliance in the back portion, and compliance in the joining portion. The compliant structure enables recline of the back portion relative to the seat portion.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an adjustable bracket for furniture, including a base and multiple support members movably connected to the base; the base includes a lower portion and an upper portion, and the multiple support members include three or more lower support members; the lower portion includes a lower receiving portion configured to receive the lower support members, a screw, and a knob; each lower support member includes a leg and a connection portion disposed proximate to the lower receiving portion; the connection portion includes a first elastic member connected to the lower receiving portion and an end portion away from the mounting surface; the end portion abuts against the upper portion when the legs are in a folded position, and the end portion is tangent to the nut and a tangent point to the nut is changeable when the legs are in an unfolded position.
