Abstract: A twist tie assembly has a flexible wire tie with an end cap component configured to retain the flexible wire tie in the base. Various embodiments of the end cap component provide means for releasably securing the flexible wire tie to a base or support structure.

Abstract: Described herein are devices pertaining to the closure of containers having at least one opening, such as bags. These devices can have at least one connecting structure configured to fit over at least a part of the container's opening, with the connecting structure being connected to at least two sides of the container. In some embodiments, the closure devices have base structures that the connecting structure can connect to and/or be held in place by. In some embodiments, these base structures are configured such that they substantially conceal the portion of the container to which they are connected. In some embodiments, the base structures have festive shapes, for example, being shaped like a birthday cake or flowers. Coupled with the ability to conceal the underlying container, the closure devices can effectively transform a basic paper bag into an enclosed festive gift bag.

Abstract: The invention concerns a fastener comprising a foot and a head comprising a plate to which said foot is linked, a wedge and a shank connecting said plate to said wedge, which comprises a back-plate, a rim and flexible arms connecting said rim to said back-plate, each arm comprises a first and a second curved section, and an elbow connecting them, said first section is connected to said back-plate by a first end of said arm and said second section is connected to said rim by a second end of said arm, said back-plate and each flexible arm are configured such that the distance between the center of said back-plate and said second section increases along said second section from said elbow to said rim.

Abstract: A paper binding system utilizing standard single, double or three-hole paper punches allows for binding variable numbers of pages. System uses 2 members; a first member is an elongated tail with an elongated rib and round integrated head on top. A second clamping member attaches to the tail. Second member has a blade that engages the rib. Excess tail can be cut off with scissors. Second member can be removed by inserting a rod into the second member. The rod is inserted in an oval shaped hole with the rod at approximately at a 90 degree to the blade. It goes behind the blade and then travels up a beveled ramp of the rib thereby raising the blade slightly and disengaging the blade from the rib allowing the second member to be removed from the first member.

Abstract: A cable tie includes a band having a first end and a second end. The cable tie also includes a housing, affixed to the band near the second end, with a first opening to receive the first end of the band, configured to lock the first end of the band in place when the housing receives the first end via the first opening. The band includes an ear clamp. The ear clamp includes: a front wall perpendicular to a top surface of the band; a rear wall perpendicular to the top surface of the band; and a top panel parallel to the top surface of the band and perpendicular to both the front wall and the rear wall. One end of the front wall is adjoined to the first end; one end of the rear wall is adjoined to the second end; one end of the top panel is adjoined to the other end of the front wall; and the other end of the top panel is adjoined to the other end of the rear wall.

Abstract: A system for attaching a device to a glasses frame includes a spring clip that applies pressure to two sides of the glasses frame, and a magnet for attaching the device thereto. The device may attach directly to the magnet, or via a slide-on attachment piece. The spring clip may include a spring arm having distal ends that assist the spring clip in applying pressure to the glasses frames.

Abstract: A belt buckle for a plug-in tongue of a vehicle seat belt. The buckle includes a holding mechanism for holding an inserted plug-in tongue and with a belt buckle housing which includes a first shell part and a second shell part locked onto the first shell part. The buckle includes a rod-shaped latch element that is mounted on the first shell part. The latch element is pushed along its longitudinal direction into a latch receiver of the second shell part and is held there by means of at least one pair of latching fins. The latching fins on opposite sides of the latch element each bear at an angle on a latch edge, formed on the surface of the latch element, and prevent a withdrawal of the latch element from the latch receiver counter to the insertion direction.

Abstract: A locking slider assembly includes a slider comprising a slot. The assembly includes a rail slidably inserted through the slot of the slider, the rail having at least one tooth movable between an extended state in which the tooth prevents the slot from moving in at least one direction along the rail, and a retracted state in which the slot can slide past the at least one tooth.

Abstract: A belt buckle for a safety belt system for latching a belt buckle (1) with a casing (4), and a locking mechanism (3) arranged in the casing (4), and a spring element (13) loading the latching mechanism (3) in the closing direction, and a damping element that acts against the closing direction of the lathing mechanism (3). The damping element is formed by a soft layer arranged on the inside of the casing (4) on an anticipated impact surface of one of the components of the latching mechanism (3) during the latching or unlatching movement (3).

Abstract: A clipper closure assembly for securing ends of an endless loop of fabric. The clipper closure assembly uses a clipper closure and a wire mesh guard or reinforcement, which fit over the end of the fabric. The closure and guard are pressed together and the barbs at the ends of the clipper closure legs bite into the wire mesh guard and the fabric. Two ends fitted with the clipper closure and mesh guard are brought together and a lock bar inserted into the loops that extends from the respective closures. A protective coating may be applied over the clipper closure and mesh guard.

Abstract: A cable assembly including a collar and a cable. The collar includes a first opening, a second opening and a third opening, each of which extends through the collar along a longitudinal dimension of the collar. The cable includes a looped end and a first cable segment extending through the first opening, a second cable segment extending through the second opening, a third cable segment extending into the third opening, and a fourth cable segment forming a loop between the first and second cable segments. The collar is crimped or swaged to the cable and is securely engaged with the first, second and third segments of the cable.

Abstract: A low profile cable tie includes a strap having a tail at one end and a locking head at the other end. The locking head has passage for receipt of the tail therethrough. The strap includes a planar surface between the tail and the locking head having a plurality of notches therealong. The locking head includes a base portion and a head portion flexibly connected to the base portion with the passageway formed therebetween. The head portion includes a plurality of locking teeth extending into the passageway for engagement with the notches of the strap body. The notches engage a number of teeth less than all of the locking teeth upon insertion of the strap into the passageway. The head is flexibly pivotable so that more than the number of locking teeth engage the notches upon attempt to withdraw the strap from the head.

Abstract: A male touch fastener strip includes an elongated base and a field of male fastener elements each having a stem extending from a broad face of the base and a head for engaging fibers. The fastener element stems and broad face of the base together form a unitary mass of resin, such as a resin containing a magnetically attractable substance. Wings extend from respective longitudinal edges of the base and define discrete corrugations extending in a series along the fastener strip and forming corresponding undulations in the rear face of the strip along its longitudinal edges. The corrugated wings can also support a foam gasket.

Abstract: A latching device configured to secure a first piece of material to a second piece of material. For example, the first piece of material is a boat tarp and the second piece of material is a boat hull. The latching device includes a locking buckle and clasp assembly. The locking buckle has a main body portion and a release mechanism. The release mechanism has locking pawls with claw members. The locking pawls engage the clasp assembly to releasably retain the locking buckle on the clasp assembly.

Abstract: A cover fastening clip includes a locking section that locks with an end member to be locked that is provided on the edge of a cover, and a hook that engages with a wire disposed in a groove of a cushion material. The hook is provided with an extended section that extends down from the locking section and a claw-shaped section, and the locking section is provided with a guide piece. The guide piece extends down along the extended section of the hook, bends at a midway bending section, and extends toward the distal end of the claw-shaped section. A wire insertion opening that has a prescribed gap and into which the wire is inserted is formed by the distal end of the guide piece reaching a location that faces the distal end of the claw-shaped section.

Abstract: The invention concerns a ring (4) for fastening a pipe (1) to a tubular body (2). According to the invention, the ring comprises two rigid sectors (5) that are coupled to each other by at least one elastically deformable annular portion (12), the two sectors and the portion being a single part, each sector (5) having an inner face (6), protruding from which at least one anchoring stud (7) extends radially, intended to be received in a housing correspondingly provided in a wall of the pipe, each anchoring stud (7) comprising two grooves (9) extending circumferentially to either side of said anchoring stud. The invention also concerns connection means comprising such a ring.

Abstract: A wireless quick release buckle. The release buckle includes a male plug fastened into a female socket creating a locked buckle assembly. A wireless signal from a remote control is used to quickly release the male plug from the female socket. The male plug further includes springs, a lock rod and riveted hinges attached to plug arms; the hinges are secured to allow the plug arms to simultaneously move inward. The male plug further includes an actuation mechanism which includes a small motor and a receiver to receive a signal from the remote control which activates the actuation mechanism to thereby quickly release the buckle.
