Abstract: A system for collecting shaving remnants and excess lubrication fluids emanating from a mechanical cutting machine, comprising a catch basin, drain filter, quick connection couplings, fluid reservoir, and pump system for reticulating captured lubricating fluid. The catch basin securely fastens to a cutting machine, while the removable backsplash is deployed at an upstanding angle relative to the catch basin in order to capture superfluous materials liberated from a pipe threading, reaming or cutting tool work piece. The backsplash doubles as a sealable lid capable of retaining the contents of the catch basin eliminating unwanted spillage and allowing for safe transport. The fluid is filtered and collected within the fluid reservoir, whereafter a pump draws the oil through a second filter element to reuse the lubricating fluid in the tool operation to create a closed loop system. Quick connect fittings compartmentalize the system to prevent leaks during maintenance or service.

Abstract: An improved gray water reclamation system. A filter-valve is coupled to a gray water conduit between a drain where gray water enters the system and a gray water tank and/or sump. Water which enters the filter-valve contacts a filter screen which separates the incoming water into a portion of screened water and a portion of particulate matter which remains behind in the main portion of the filter-valve. The portion of screened water continues out of the filter-valve and into the gray water tank. The filter-valve is cleaned or maintained by backwashing the collected contaminates and particulate matter through the normal sewer drain system by opening an installed motor operated valve and allowing the collected particulate matter and backwash to pass there through via the waste conduit. The backwash and particulate matter from the filter-valve is then directed into a second waste conduit which is coupled to a pre-existing drainage system.

Abstract: A suction filter includes: a casing having an intake port through which fuel is drawn; a filtration member to filter the fuel to be drawn into the intake port; and a wall component which defines a fuel passage for fuel which passes the filtration member toward the intake port. At least a part of the filtration member is located higher than the intake port. The wall component has an upper end positioned higher than the intake port, and the fuel passage is defined so that the fuel flowing through the fuel passage flows over the upper end.

Abstract: A drain strainer includes a base, a drain plate and a cover. The base includes a drainpipe, a surrounding wall located over the drainpipe, and a connecting portion horizontally connected with the drainpipe and the surrounding wall. The drain plate is mounted in the base and includes a rod recess formed at a center of the drain plate and multiple drainage holes formed through the drain plate. The cover is mounted in the rod recess of the drain plate. The drain strainer can decorate the interior of the kitchen or the bathroom, and is able to filter away dirt or hair easily.

Abstract: A tool for use with a basket assembly is provided. The basket assembly is of the type configured for being receivably engaged with an opening defined in a drain cover skirt for covering the perimeter of a floor drain. The tool is configured for engaging the basket assembly and removing the basket assembly from the drain cover skirt upon force input from a user.

Abstract: A filtration device to filter cooking oil is provided having an upper layer comprised of a filter paper and a lower layer comprised of a filter pad. The filter paper of the upper layer includes pleats defining a plurality of food particle receiving channels over a substantial portion of a central area of the filter paper. The filter pad is attached to a peripheral portion of the filter paper to form a multi-layered filtration device having a central pleated region in which the upper and the lower layers are unbonded to each other. The central pleated region is configured to accumulate food particles above a threshold size as the filter paper and filter pad cooperatively filter cooking oil during a filtration operation. Methods of making and using filtration devices are also provided.

Abstract: A gate valve curb box strainer collects debris introduced through a street level cover, minimizing debris build up in the gate valve access pipe of the curb box. Water passes through the curb box strainer, while the strainer catches debris that naturally builds up over time via the street level cover. When a worker removes the cover to exercise the valve, he need only lift the gate strainer out of the access pipe and shake the debris out of it. There is no need to take extra time digging out or vacuuming out the debris. In an emergency situation such as accessing the valve for a fire hydrant or during a water/sewer main break, this could save valuable time. After the valve has been exercised, the empty gate valve curb box strainer is dropped back in place prior to covering the gate valve curb box with the street level cover.

A back flush element (12) is arranged on one side of the drum filter for back flushing filtered particles from the drum screen, and a gutter element (14) is arranged on an opposite side of the drum screen for collecting filtered particles, wherein the gutter element is connected to a secondary outlet (16) in the housing. The filtration system is furthermore provided with a buffer reservoir (18) having a reservoir inlet (20) which is connected to the secondary outlet so as to be closable. The filtration system housing includes a basket support flange and an integral basin for accommodating both cartridge and bag-type filters. When fluid is introduced into the filtration system housing through one or more fluid inlet ports, the basket support flange and integral basin additionally serve to prevent contaminated fluids from contaminating any filtered fluids that exit the filtration system housing through one or more fluid outlet ports.

It is comprised of two containers, an inner container which captures liquids destined for drainage and an outer liquid container for reclaiming water. The guard defines a relief on its bottom side so that the guard may be installed at the correct height without measurement. The guard may be composed of first and second or first, second and third slidably-engaged portions to allow the length of the guard to be user-selectable to fit a variety of curb inlets. The guard may include a grill to strain smaller debris from the water.
