  • Patent number: 9594467
Abstract: Multi-touch sensitivity is enabled using a touch-sensitive apparatus comprising a panel for conducting signals from a plurality of incoupling points to a plurality of outcoupling points, thereby defining detection lines between pairs of incoupling and outcoupling points. Signal generators coupled to the incoupling points generate the signals, and signal detectors coupled to the outcoupling points generate an output signal indicative of one or more touches on the surface portion. A signal processor obtains the output signal which, if converted into a set of data samples of a given input format, enables a predetermined reconstruction algorithm to determine an interaction pattern on the surface portion. The signal processor generates, based on the output signal, a modified set of data samples in the given input format; and operates the predetermined reconstruction algorithm on the modified set of data samples so as to determine a modified interaction pattern on the surface portion.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for adjusting white-balance, comprising the steps of: S1, entering a value of white-balance of a standard sample into a display panel; S2, controlling the display panel to display a test image having different grayscale value so as to attain a full grayscale value of the display panel; S3, determining whether the attained full grayscale value is within a specification, if yes, then proceeding into next step, and if no, then proceeding into step S4; and S4, recalculating the white-balance value based on a difference between the attained full grayscale value and the white-balance value of the standard sample, and reentering the calculated white-balance value into display panel, and returning to step S2. The white balance adjusting system incorporated with such white balance adjusting method can be readily and quickly implemented into the existing production line of liquid crystal display panel.

  • Patent number: 9405382
Abstract: An optical touch-sensitive device is able to determine the locations of multiple simultaneous touch events. The optical touch-sensitive device includes multiple emitters and detectors coupled with an optical coupler assembly through a waveguide on the surface on the optical-touch sensitive device. Each emitter produces optical beams which propagate in the waveguide via total internal reflection and are received by the detectors. Touch events disturb the optical beams, and are determined based on the disturbances. The optical touch-sensitive device further includes an intermediate layer interposed between the waveguide and a display surface. The intermediate layer preserves optical beam propagation in the waveguide and is transparent to visible light. The optical touch-sensitive device may further include at least one frame zone, at least one dead zone, and/or at least one fixed graphics zone.
