  • Patent number: 5681070
Abstract: The invention is a motorized linkage for operating a door strike. A six volt power source, controlled by a security code, rotates a small electric motor when a proper security code is given. The motor rotates a shaft which engages a coil spring. This moves a locking cam. When a catch on the locking cam separates from the locking lever catch, the latch bolt keeper may be manipulated by a user.

  • Patent number: 5033234
Abstract: A door coordinator for controlling the closing sequence of a pair of double doors having a common line of closure. The coordinator has a biased trigger which pivots and a door stop which translates toward the rear of the coordinator upon triggering. Override is provided by an override block (preferably pivotally mounted) biased into a first position which moves to a second position upon application of more than threshold override force. With the override block in the second position, the door stop is free to move in translation to the rear of the coordinator and permit closure of the door even if the trigger is not depressed. Threshold override force is adjusted by a screw which adjusts the angular position of a base plate in contact with biasing springs which bias the override block.

  • Patent number: 4971498
Abstract: A cantilevered washer for a male or female threaded fastener having a conical seat portion including an conically-shaped seat for receiving the threaded fastener in such maner as to load the washer at an angle and relieve hoop-stress on the threaded fastener. The washer further has an annular ring portion including a flat annular base for mating with a surface of a part being fastened. The annular ring portion and the conical seat portion are connected by a cantilever portion which is inclined at an angle of substantially 45.degree. to the flat bearing portion in order to provide a low profile vertical displacement between the conical seat portion and the flat bearing portion, as well as provide a location for deflection of variable bearing loads.
