A user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink message associated with single-bit feedback and a second downlink message associated with multi-bit feedback. The first downlink message and the second downlink message may have a common uplink transmission opportunity for transmitting feedback pertaining to the downlink messages. The UE may generate a codebook that supports inclusion of both the single-bit feedback and the multi-bit feedback for the first and second downlink messages. The UE may transmit the feedback message during the common uplink transmission opportunity based on the codebook.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for modifying a downlink configuration of a user device in a cell to mitigate interference. The methods and systems assign, via a first cell site, a first bandwidth to the user device within a serviceable area of the first cell site. The first bandwidth is blanked such that the user device receives data on a second bandwidth that is a smaller bandwidth than the first bandwidth. In addition, the methods and systems determine that the first bandwidth has at least one interference measurement above a threshold. Upon determining that the at least one interference measurement is above the threshold, the methods and systems modify the downlink configuration of the user device to a third bandwidth. The third bandwidth is a smaller bandwidth than the second bandwidth.

In one aspect, a base station can generate a narrowband data channel including a plurality of resource blocks (RBs). The base station may shift a position of the RBs of the narrowband data channel to align with a wideband resource block group (RBG) boundary. The base station can also adjust a precoding resource block group (PRG) for the narrowband data channel. Also, the base station can transmit the narrowband data channel to a User Equipment (UE) based on adjusting the PRG. In another aspect, the base station may align a beginning or last RB of the plurality of RBs with the wideband RBG boundary and/or align a beginning or last RB of the PRG with the wideband RBG boundary. In another aspect, the base station may transmit an indication to the UE indicating a flexible resource allocation.
