  • Patent number: 9553793
Abstract: Techniques for resolving single source shortest path for database processing are provided. Graph data for nodes having weights for edges of a database network are iterated producing a new message table and results table in each iteration. The results table stores the minimum path weight. For each iteration the graph data and message table are joined to produce a state of a node and outgoing edge messages. The message table and results table are co-grouped to generate a new message for a next node to process. When done the single source shortest path for the network is produced.

  • Patent number: 9537591
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a Zero traffic hit synchronization switch over technique in a telecommunication network. The switch over is carried out by switching input reference of the receiver from one or more master (1) to at least one slave (2), wherein said slave (2) becomes new master (2) and said one or more master (1) becomes new slave (1) after switching. Now, the new master (2) locks to the new slave (1) for predetermined time period. Once the predetermined is elapsed, the new master (2) is disconnected from the new slave (1), wherein said new master (2) selects its own network reference clock upon disconnection of the new slave (1). The new slave (1) is locked to the new master (2) to synchronize the switchover in redundant systems.

  • Patent number: 9509599
Abstract: A method is implemented by a network device in a network implementing penultimate hop popping (PHP) for Internet Protocol (IP)/Multi-Protocol Label Swapping (MPLS). The network has a plurality of nodes. The method establishes a bi-directional forwarding detection (BFD) session between an active node and a passive node of an MPLS label switched path (LSP) without an out of band bootstrapping process. In this method the network device is the passive node. The passive node generates a My Discriminator for the passive node, where the Your Discriminator is empty and the source label and My Discriminator are known to the passive node. The passive node sends further BFD control packets to the active node that include the generated My discriminator for the passive node.

  • Patent number: 9503970
Abstract: Providing for select Internet Protocol traffic offload (SIPTO) in a mobile communication environment is described herein. By way of example, SIPTO traffic can be facilitated via local packet gateways (P-GWs) that provide an interface to the Internet or a like data network, in addition to a centralized gateway GPRS support node (GGSN). Eligibility for SIPTO can be on a user equipment (UE) by UE basis; for instance, relying on stored subscription or account information to determine SIPTO eligibility. In particular aspects, eligibility for SIPTO can also be based on a packet network by packet network basis, or a combination of the foregoing. This enables flexibility in determining whether SIPTO can be established for a given UE in a given location, and can be based for instance on UE capability, subscription status information, data network capability, tariff rates, and so on, as well as different legal requirements of government jurisdictions.

  • Patent number: 9497115
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for Internet-scale routing using small-scale border routers and IP tunneling are described. Each border router is directly connected to a transit provider. Routing protocol peerings may be passed via the border routers through tunnels to a routing service; the routing service and the transit provider router(s) appear to be directly adjacent routing peers. The routing service receives routing data from the transit provider(s), maintains the routing data in a routing table, and processes the routing data in the routing table to select best paths. A mapping service may be informed, by the routing service, of a best exit point (or points) for each Internet prefix of each packet to be routed on the Internet. Outbound packets from devices on the network to the Internet, and inbound packets from the Internet to the network devices, may be encapsulated and passed through tunnels as directed by the mapping service.

  • Patent number: 9485677
Abstract: A method for determining whether a radio unit in a shared cell configuration is hearable by a user equipment is provided. Transmission of a probe message to the user equipment by the radio unit is caused. The probe message invokes a probe response from the user equipment if the radio unit is hearable by the user equipment on a downlink channel. The radio unit is hearable by the user equipment if the downlink channel performance between the radio unit and the user equipment meets a predetermined signal criteria. An uplink channel associated with the user equipment is monitored for the probe response from the user equipment after transmission of the probe message. Hearability data associated with the user equipment is determined based on the monitored uplink channel. The hearability data indicates whether the radio unit is hearable by the user equipment the downlink channel.

  • Patent number: 9480068
Abstract: A method for scheduling enhanced uplink traffic in a cell in a cellular communication system comprises estimating of a rise-over-thermal measure for the cell. A momentary total load in the cell is computed based on the estimated rise-over-thermal measure. A load headroom is determined from at least a maximum allowed load and the momentary load. Future enhanced uplink traffic is scheduled in dependence of the determined load headroom. A degree of underutilization of enhanced uplink traffic grants in the cell is established. The scheduling comprises overbooking of enhanced uplink traffic in dependence on the established underutilization degree. A network node comprises corresponding functionalities.

  • Patent number: 9473386
Abstract: A distributed system for collecting and processing packet routing information is provided. A service provider, such as a content delivery network service provider, can maintain multiple Points of Presence (“POPs”). Routing computing devices associated with each POP can forward information about the packet routing information to a packet routing management component. The packet routing component can process the information provided by the various POPs. The packet routing component can then update, or otherwise modify, packet routing information used by one or more of the POPs. Accordingly, the packet routing management component can then selectively distribute the updated or modified packet routing information, including the distribution to all POPs, the targeted distribution to specific POPs and the creation of centrally accessible routing information.
