Abstract: A method includes, responsive to user input, scrolling a plurality of elements visible on a user interface (UI) to scroll out of view, from the UI, one or more first elements of the plurality of elements that were visible in the UI prior to the user input, and to scroll into view, in the UI, one or more second elements that were not visible in the UI prior to the user input. A first media player and a second media player are concurrently visible in the UI responsive to the scrolling. The method further includes, responsive to first playback of a first media item via the first media player having priority over second playback of a second media item via the second media player, preventing the second playback of the second media item during the first playback of the first media item.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to providing electronic devices with faster, more efficient methods and context-specific user interfaces for indicating time. Such methods and interfaces optionally complement or replace other methods for indicating time. Such methods and interfaces reduce the cognitive burden on a user and produce a more efficient human-machine interface. For battery-operated computing devices, such methods and interfaces conserve power and increase the time between battery charges.

Abstract: A media rendering device controlled based on a trained neural network is provided. The media rendering device captures an image of a user, and determines a user-type of the user and user-profile information of the user or the user-type based on the captured image. The user-type corresponds to an age group, a gender, an emotional state, and/or a geo-location, associated with the user. The user-profile information corresponds to interests or preferences of the user or the determined user-type. The media rendering device further determines device-assistive information based on application of the trained neural network model on the determined user-type. The media rendering device is further controlled based on the determined device-assistive information, to change at least one configuration setting of the media rendering device or to output media content.

Abstract: Vehicle methods disclosed herein include displaying, on one or more user interfaces of a vehicle display, a visual summary of a defined trip route. The visual summary may include a start indicator, and end indicator, a transition indicator (indicating a road switch), a road type indicator, a municipality indicator, time indicators (indicating times to transition points and municipalities), and fuel/charge indicators indicating refueling/recharging locations, among other details. Travelers may use the one or more user interfaces to determine desired stopping locations, desired route, goods and services provided at different stops along the way, and other items. Other vehicle methods disclosed herein include preparing a music playlist curated for a specific trip and taking into account various user-specific factors, and changing the playlist in response to changes in trip conditions.

Abstract: A method for controlling a cooking device includes the following steps: recording an image of food; implementing a recognition of the recorded image of the food to determine the likelihood that the food corresponds to known foods. If a probability value exceeds a default threshold value, a cooking program associated with the known food is selected and specified to the cooking device. The probability value for the recorded image and the associated food is increased in response to a user subsequently starting the selected cooking program, and reduced in response to the user discarding the selected cooking program. A cooking device includes a primary control unit for controlling the cooking functions; a network interface with a second control unit, and a camera for recording images of the cooking space. The second control unit processes recorded images independently of the primary control unit and transmits them over the network interface.

Abstract: A method, processing system and processor-readable medium for classifying human behavior based on a sequence of frames of a digital video. A 2D convolutional neural network is used to identify key points on a human body, such as human body joints, visible within each frame. An encoded representation of the key points is created for each video frame. The sequence of encoded representations corresponding to the sequence of frames is processed by a 3D CNN trained to identify human behaviors based on key point positions varying over time.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to visualization for network virtualization platforms (“NVPs”) enhanced with non-visual sensory interactivity. A computer system can obtain data associated with an NVP. The computer system can generate a non-visual feedback environment representative of at least a portion of the network virtualization platform. The non-visual feedback environment can include non-visual sensory feedback to be presented to a user. The computer system also can receive one or more rules associated with the data. The rule(s) can be associated with one or more service elements of the NVP. The rule(s) alternatively or additionally can be associated with one or more events. The computer system can provide the non-visual sensory feedback via a non-visual sensory feedback device that outputs the non-visual sensory feedback to be sensed by the user. The non-visual sensory feedback can include audio feedback, haptic feedback, olfactory feedback, or some combination thereof.
