Abstract: Electronic devices, interfaces for electronic devices, and techniques for interacting with such interfaces and electronic devices are described. For instance, this disclosure describes an example electronic device that includes sensors, such as multiple front-facing cameras to detect orientation and/or location of the electronic device relative to an object and one or more inertial sensors. Users of the device may perform gestures on the device by moving the device in-air and/or by moving their head, face, or eyes relative to the device. In response to these gestures, the device may perform operations.

Abstract: An electronic device and a method control applications in the electronic device. A plurality of applications are executed in a foreground and a background. The number of touch points input to a touch screen are detected to select an application according to the detected number of the touch points. A touch gesture is detected for controlling the selected application, and the selected application is controlled according to the detected touch gesture.

Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for providing information through a network. The method of providing information through a network includes: setting correspondence relations between first information, that is provided in a network site and a user wants to acquire through the network, and the appearance of an application; requesting a server for the first information and receiving a response; analyzing second information included in the response; and displaying the second information by manipulating the appearance of the application, according to the correspondence relations without visiting the network site or activating another application.

Abstract: Graphical user interfaces, systems, and methods of implementing electronic flashcards are disclosed. Embodiments provide an interface for enabling information on a selected side of an electronic flashcard to be displayed and hidden. For example, the information on a first side of an electronic flashcard may be displayed while the information on the second side is hidden, thereby enabling a user to test himself or herself before revealing the information on the second side of the electronic flashcard. The interface may also enable placement or storage of inactive electronic flashcards in multiple piles or stacks. For example, electronic flashcards which have not yet been viewed may be displayed in a first pile, while previously viewed flashcards may be displayed in one or more additional stacks. Additionally, the interface may limit the number of flashcards in one or more of the stacks. Further, the interface may perform automated shuffling of the flashcards.

Abstract: Various embodiments illustrated and described herein provide one or more of systems, methods, and software operable to process multilayered documents including form fields. Some embodiments, are operable to process a new or modified background layer image to identify input fields, to match the identified fields with metadata in foreground layer data defining interactive input fields, and to modify the mappings of the input fields defined within the foreground layer of a page description language document as a function of identified input fields in the modified background layer image.

Abstract: There is disclosed a data management apparatus having a display screen, which includes (1) a first area for displaying a list of title information representing data belonging to a specified category and capable of changing the list in response to changing the category specification, and (2) a second area in which no display content is changed despite changing the category specification, wherein at least either of copying and moving of any title information can be performed at least from the first area to the second area. Abstract: Audiences for viewing items in one or more electronic repositories including a blog are visually depicted. Input from a user is received for creating different types of items for viewing in the blog. The different types of items include private items, items that are internal for an organization, and public items. Input is also received from the user for selecting audiences for viewing the different types of items in the blog. Items for viewing on the blog are selected from among the created items, and the selected items are displayed on the blog for viewing by the selected audiences. Each selected item is displayed with a visual cue that is distinct for each type of item. The visual cue indicates the selected audience for viewing the item.

Abstract: There is described a method, to a program and to a system for graphically displaying and projecting at least one network of devices of an automation system, a high density of information usually occurring at the user interface. To allow a user to selectively display devices in a network, in addition to a large quantity of overview information, a solution is proposed in which a user can display individual devices in more detail in an overview. The user can therefore select a device, the instantaneously non-visible details of which he wishes to access, and change the appearance of the device from a not very detailed display to a very detailed display by way of further interaction. This applies to any desired number of devices which can be simultaneously displayed in detail. One advantage is that the network interfaces of devices may also be displayed which cannot be displayed with all network interfaces in the overview without the user being forced to have to change to a different, detail-oriented view.
