  • Patent number: 7484315
Abstract: A replaceable precursor tray for use with a high conductance, multi-tray solid precursor evaporation system coupled with a high conductance vapor delivery system is described for increasing deposition rate by increasing exposed surface area of solid precursor. The multi-tray solid precursor evaporation system is configured to be coupled to the process chamber of a thin film deposition system, and it includes a base tray with one or more stackable upper trays. Each tray is configured to support and retain film precursor in, for example, solid powder form or solid tablet form. Additionally, each tray is configured to provide for a high conductance flow of carrier gas over the film precursor while the film precursor is heated. For example, the carrier gas flows inward over the film precursor, and vertically upward through a flow channel within the stackable trays and through an outlet in the solid precursor evaporation system.

  • Patent number: 7444762
Abstract: A clothes dryer has a system for regulating the inlet air temperature. The system includes a first sensor located in an inlet of the dryer and including a thermistor and a thermostat, a heat source located in a heater box adjacent the first sensor, and a second sensor located in an exhaust of the dryer. The thermistor measures the inlet air temperature of the dryer and cooperates with the controller to prevent the thermostat from reaching its trip temperature and turning off the heat source. Thus, damage due to excessive air temperatures in the dryer is prevented.

  • Patent number: 7437832
Abstract: A reduced pressure drying apparatus includes a chamber that closes in an airtight manner during a reduced pressure drying operation, a stage on which a substrate is mounted; and an exhaust unit having an exhaust tube that opens at exhaust openings within the chamber. The stage is disposed within the chamber during the reduced pressure drying operation. The exhaust unit discharges atmosphere from the chamber via the exhaust openings during the reduced pressure drying operation to reduce the pressure within the chamber. The exhaust openings are formed such that a position of the exhaust openings is substantially the same as or no higher than a surface position of the substrate. The reduced pressure drying apparatus allows a film having a more uniform thickness to be formed on the substrate.
