  • Patent number: 10755599
Abstract: A portable tooth-sensitivity demonstration apparatus and a process. The apparatus includes a main unit with a top cover having at least one tooth station thereon; an electrical circuit, a sensitivity indicator, and an on/off switch. A sensor in the tooth station is part of the electrical circuit to activate a response by the sensitivity indicator. A water-permeable tooth piece, treated with an oral-care product, is placed into the tooth station, and a few drops of water are deposited on top of the tooth piece. Lack of response from the sensitivity indicator shows an absence of sensitivity and hence effectiveness of the oral-care product, while a response from the sensitivity indicator shows existing sensitivity and thus failure of the oral-care product to seal the tooth piece. In an apparatus having multiple tooth stations, different oral-care products can be assessed simultaneously and side-by-side.

  • Patent number: 10755594
Abstract: The invention provides a computer-implemented method for analyzing a piece of text. The method comprises truncating one or more characters of the text into one or more block units each having at least one character. The method includes sorting the one or more block units for one or more unique block units and comparing the one or more unique block units with a grading database to thereby assign a grade to each of the one or more unique block units. An overall grade for the piece of text may be determined based on one or more of the grades assigned to each of the one or more unique block units. The overall grade of the text may be derived from successive truncating of the text into block units of increasing size and the successive processing of such block units.

  • Patent number: 10657838
Abstract: A learning sub-system models search patterns of multiple experts in analyzing an image using a recurrent neural network (RNN) architecture, creates a knowledge base that models expert knowledge. A teaching sub-system teaches the search pattern captured by the RNN model and presents to a learning user the information for analyzing an image. The teaching sub-system determines the teaching image sequence based on a difficulty level identified using image features, audio cues, expert confidence and time taken by experts. An evaluation sub-system measures the learning user's performance in terms of search strategy that is evaluated against the RNN model and provides feedback on overall sequence followed by the learning user and time spent by the learning user on each region in the image.

  • Patent number: 10391406
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for a safe drive inducing game that includes a controller configured to execute the safe drive inducing game when a driver attention dispersion state is detected when a vehicle is driven. In addition, the controller recognizes a target driving path from vehicle driving information when executing the safe drive inducing game and generates a path guidance display according to the recognized target driving path to display on a game screen. The controller determines whether the vehicle follows the path guidance display by comparing a driving state of the vehicle with a position of the path guidance display displayed on the game screen and calculates a score of the safe drive inducing game according to whether the vehicle follows the path guidance display.
