  • Patent number: 11839384
Abstract: A method for correcting position of an osteotomy guide tool is disclosed. A trackable element mounted on the osteotomy guide tool or on the robotic arm tracks the position of the osteotomy guide tool and generates position information of the trackable element. According to the current position and the desired position of the trackable element, a robotic arm drives the osteotomy guide tool and the trackable element to move, until the trackable element is moved to the desired position. This method does not need to consider the absolute position accuracy of the robotic arm, and does not rely on the experience of the surgeon. The tool has several guiding features, which can provide guides for osteotomy operations, so that the same osteotomy guide tool can perform multiple operations of osteotomy and punching, thus greatly reducing the operation time and improving the operation efficiency.

  • Patent number: 11826113
Abstract: Systems, methods and a sensor alignment mechanism are disclosed for medical navigational guidance systems. In one example, a system to make sterile a non-sterile optical sensor for use in navigational guidance during surgery includes a sterile drape having an optically transparent window to drape the optical sensor in a sterile barrier and a sensor alignment mechanism. The alignment mechanism secures the sensor through the drape in alignment with the window without breaching the sterile barrier and facilitates adjustment of the orientation of the optical sensor. The optical sensor may be aligned to view a surgical site when the alignment mechanism, assembled with the sterile drape and optical sensor, is attached to a bone. The alignment mechanism may be a lockable ball joint and facilitate orientation of the sensor in at least two degrees of freedom. • Patent number: 11819280
Abstract: A model production device generates one or more contact bodies of a patient-specific surgical instrument model based on a parameterized model of a patient's bone. The parameterized model includes a predetermined number of polygons each having a predetermined position relative to the patient's anatomy. The parameterized model may be generated based on a three-dimensional model that was generated based on multiple images of the patient's bone. The model production device adds parametric fixed geometry to the patient-specific surgical instrument model based on the parameterized model and subtracts the three-dimensional model of the patient's bone from the patient-specific surgical instrument model. Each contacting body may be positioned at a high-confidence part of the parametric model, and the parametric fixed geometry may be positioned at a low-confidence part. A patient-specific surgical instrument may be manufactured based on the patient-specific surgical instrument model.
