  • Patent number: 10231625
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for a catheter-based system of image-guided internally-administered treatment of medical conditions such as, for example, pancreatic cancer. A distal end of a catheter is positioned at a target site inside a patient's body. An imaging probe extended through the catheter collects image data of patient tissue at the target site. The image data is processed and a treatment plan is developed. A radiation source positioned at the distal end of the catheter without removing the catheter. In this way, images collected at the target tissue site can be used to develop a treatment plan and to guide the localized positioning and operation of a treatment device at the same internal tissue site—thereby providing higher resolution imaging than external-based imaging modalities and reduced exposure to radiation as compared to externally applied radiation therapies.

  • Patent number: 10207122
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for delivering electromagnetic signals configured specifically to accelerate the asymmetrical kinetics of the binding of intracellular ions to their respective intracellular buffers, to enhance the biochemical signaling pathways plant animal and human molecules, cells, tissues, organs, portions of entire organisms and entire organisms employ for growth, repair and maintenance. Described herein are devices and methods that utilize repetitive bursts of waveforms configured to maximize the bound concentration of intracellular ions at their associated molecular buffers to enhance the biochemical signaling pathways living systems employ for growth, repair and maintenance. For example the systems and methods described herein may drive the binding of calcium to calmodulin (CaM), thereby enhancing the CaM-dependent nitric oxide (NO)/cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) signaling pathway.

  • Patent number: 10195107
Abstract: The invention provides a sensing control method and apparatus, and a vibration massage apparatus. The method comprises: arranging a sensor which senses a trajectory of an external object, and controlling the change of output based on the direction of the trajectory. With the invention, a desirable control effect can be obtained based on the sensed direction of the trajectory of the external object without accurate positioning of the sensor. Not only the convenience of the sensing operation can be improved significantly, but also the control accuracy can be improved; meanwhile, the invention can be well applied to any device for control using several input control signals or variable input control signals for control, thus having a wide range of application and significantly optimizing user experience.

  • Patent number: 10182896
Abstract: The present invention provides an artificial insemination apparatus and methods for use with livestock that maintains the sterility of the semen until it is deposited at an optimum location in the reproductive tract of the animal without the maneuvering or tissue injury problems associated with prior art devices. Embodiments of the present invention comprise a uniquely shaped opening that is provided at the tip of a sheath that is used with an artificial insemination gun, and a movable or deformable plug or diaphragm that fits into and covers this opening. The plug or diaphragm has a rounded (convex) exterior surface, and may be made of a rigid or rubberized material that completely covers the opening at the tip of the sheath, and seals it closed in a smooth, flush engagement to prevent contaminants from collecting upon the tip, or entering into the sheath during the trip through the reproductive tract of the animal.
