  • Patent number: 7860461
Abstract: Method for user-aided communication evaluation and performance and for producing a quality report regarding a communication connection entails signaling of a services provider by a first endpoint user in real-time entails establishing a first communication link between the first endpoint user and a second endpoint user. A second communication link between the first end point user and the services provider is determined. The methods continue by analyzing of the first and second communication links for quality by the services provider and generating statistics based on the analysis for quality in the connection. The methods can conclude by producing a quality report using those statistics. The quality report can initiate an immediate response in real-time or can be stored for a later response.

  • Patent number: 7860478
Abstract: Provided is a poly-phase filter capable of removing an image frequency of a terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (T-DMB) receiver in a low intermediate frequency (IF) structure applied to a mobile communication terminal and a receiver having the poly-phase filter. The poly-phase filter includes: a calibration control block for generating first and second filter characteristic control signals which determine electrical characteristics of the filter in response to a control signal including instructions for changing the characteristics of the poly-phase filter and holding the changed values; and a poly-phase filter block for performing filtering on a plurality of input signals having different phases from each other in response to the first and second filter characteristic control signals. Accordingly, the poly-phase filter has advantages of having constant electrical characteristics regardless of changes in a manufacturing process and temperature and a high-performance image rejection function.

  • Patent number: 7853232
Abstract: To provide an antenna device adapted to interrupt jamming waves and enable cost reduction, a high-pass filter (HPF) adapted to interrupt general-use frequencies at least near a low-frequency side of a pass band intended for use is provided as a frequency selection circuit 11A on the antenna 1 side in an initial-stage LNA 2A. By setting a low-side cutoff frequency to 900 MHz, it is possible to prevent reception of frequencies in a general-use frequency band with a high frequency of use as jamming waves. That is, for example, it is possible to prevent reception of frequencies in 800 to 900 MHz band for mobile cellular telephones and higher harmonics thereof as jamming waves. Further, since an additional filter is not required in the antenna device, the circuit structure can be simplified.

  • Patent number: 7835709
Abstract: Methods and systems for vector combining power amplification are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a plurality of signals are individually amplified, then summed to form a desired time-varying complex envelope signal. Phase and/or frequency characteristics of one or more of the signals are controlled to provide the desired phase, frequency, and/or amplitude characteristics of the desired time-varying complex envelope signal. In another embodiment, a time-varying complex envelope signal is decomposed into a plurality of constant envelope constituent signals. The constituent signals are amplified equally or substantially equally, and then summed to construct an amplified version of the original time-varying envelope signal. Embodiments also perform frequency up-conversion.

  • Patent number: 7809378
Abstract: A location visit detail service, typically provided by a wireless carrier to a subscriber, includes a portable wireless device, a location identification means and a central processor. The central processor periodically receives location data generated by the location identification means. The central processor data transforms the location data into time and position data pairs that identify the location of the portable wireless device at a particular time. Through a geographic information system database, the position data is converted to street address data. The details data is provided by the wireless carrier to the subscriber, which can use the details data to provide a summary report describing the activity of the service person. This summary report can be used for preparation of bills or for gathering statistics on (individual or group) service person efficiency. Alternatively, the wireless carrier can prepare the report that is then transmitted to the subscriber.
