  • Patent number: 11991136
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, devices, and machine-readable mediums which provide for sidebar communication threads forked from, or related to, a principal thread. Messages in the sidebar communication thread may include a history of the principal thread, including one or more messages from the principal thread, and may include a proposed principal thread message that is the subject of the sidebar thread discussion. The sidebar thread may also include sidebar thread messages that carries the conversation of the sidebar thread participants. Once a termination condition is reached for the sidebar thread, the sidebar thread terminates and either the proposed principal thread message (as potentially modified by participants of the sidebar thread) becomes an accepted principal thread message and it is posted to the principal thread as if it was sent by the sidebar initiator or no message is posted (e.g., the proposed principal thread message is rejected).

  • Patent number: 11985189
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for switching computing devices between edge servers and peer groups. One example method includes receiving, at a client computing device and from a first computing device, media content. A request to initiate an assisted delivery service is sent from the client computing device to a second computing device. The assisted delivery service is initiated in response to the request. The assisted delivery service comprises identifying, at the second computing device, one or more peer computing devices receiving the media content. At the second computing device, instructions that enable the client computing device to discover at least one of the peer computing devices are generated. The instructions are sent from the second computing device to the client computing device. At the client computing device, a peer computing device is discovered. A request to receive a portion of the media content is sent from the client computing device to a discovered peer computing device.

  • Patent number: 11979273
Abstract: In one example, a server system interfaces with a plurality of remotely-situated client entities to provide data communications services. The system uses processing circuitry to access an archive of voice data indicative of transcribed audio conversations between a client station and another station participating via the data communications services. Archived voice data includes keywords associated with at least one intent or at least one topic of the transcribed audio conversations. The system identifies keywords and/or identified contexts in a message (e.g., text-based message) received by a text-based virtual assistant, and correlates the text-based message with at least one intent or at least one topic by matching keywords from the archive of digital voice data with the identified keywords from the text-based message. The system may automatically configure the virtual assistant associated with the remotely-situated client entity to address the received text-based message, based on the correlation.

  • Patent number: 11973809
Abstract: An omni-channel adapter receives a request to create a communication session for a customer. Based on the request, the omni-channel adapter selects a channel-specific orchestrator. The request is modified, or a new request is generated, to suit the selected channel-specific orchestrator. The channel-specific request is sent to the channel-specific orchestrator. In response, the channel-specific orchestrator creates the communication session. Further communications between the customer and the channel-specific orchestrator may also be intermediated by the omni-channel adapter, which may maintain state information about the communication session. For example, a unique identifier may be generated by the omni-channel adapter or the channel-specific orchestrator for the communication session. A request by the customer to add an additional device to the communication session may include the identifier of the session.

  • Patent number: 11968280
Abstract: Systems and methods are described controlling ingestion of data items within a data stream by executions of a serverless function on a serverless compute system. A poller device can act as an intermediary between the data stream and the serverless function, iteratively retrieving data items from the data stream and passing them in invocations of the serverless function. To allow for fine-grained control of ingestion without requiring implementation of complex logic at the poller device, the poller device can enable the serverless function to pass instructions controlling subsequent operation of the poller device. Each execution of the serverless function may determine whether subsequent operation of the poller device should be altered, and if so, instruct the poller device accordingly. The poller device can then modify its operation pursuant to the instructions, enabling highly granular control of streaming data ingestion without inhibiting existing benefits of serverless computing.
