  • Patent number: 8844603
Abstract: A window covering comprises slats suspended from a tilt cord such that the tilt cord may rotate the slats between an open position and a closed position. An elastic seal is provided on the slats to contact adjacent slats when the slats are in the closed position. A mechanism such as a spring or a magnet applies a closing force to the slats in the closed position separate from the tilt cord where the closing force moves the slats toward one another. An elastic seal is provided on the slats to contact adjacent slats when the slats are in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 8844605
Abstract: A clutch for a roller blind. The clutch comprises a drive shaft operatively connected to a drive mechanism, an idle shaft releasably coupled to the drive shaft, and a drive spring. The drive mechanism imparts rotational movement to the drive shaft. The idle shaft is operatively connected to the tube of the roller blind such that rotation of the idle shaft causes rotation of the roller blind tube. The drive spring is operatively associated with the idle shaft and with the drive shaft such that rotation of the drive shaft in a first direction causes the drive spring to impart rotational movement to the idle shaft, thereby causing rotation of the roller blind tube. When the drive shaft is rotated in a second opposite direction the drive spring permits the drive shaft to rotate independently of the idle shaft.

  • Patent number: 8839840
Abstract: A roller shade assembly for a shade made from a relatively heavy and/or stiff material is described. The roller shade assembly includes a cylindrical member that is attached to the shade. A control mechanism rotates the cylindrical member for winding the shade upon the cylindrical member. Thus, winding the cylindrical member in one direction causes the shade to retract, while unwinding the cylindrical member in an opposite direction causes the shade to extend. In order to maintain the shade in alignment as the shade is retracted and extended, the roller shade assembly includes a pair of opposing retaining members that may have a disc-like shape. The retaining members may be positioned adjacent to the vertical edges of the shade and have an effective diameter larger than the diameter of the shade when fully wound and retracted. In one embodiment, the roller shade assembly can further include fixed edge guides for further maintaining the shade in alignment.

  • Patent number: 8820385
Abstract: Disclosed is a control device for a cordless blind with willful stop at any positions according to user needs during switching operation. The control device primarily comprises a force-return mechanism, a shaft connector, and a braking buffer mechanism which are all installed inside a same housing. The force-return mechanism has a flat spring bevel gear and an elastic element. One end of the shaft connector is a transmission bevel gear meshed with the flat spring bevel gear. The braking buffer mechanism includes a friction ring and an impeding spring where the friction ring is immovably fixed inside the housing with a wear-proof annular inwall. The impeding spring is tightly plugged into the friction ring with an extrusion to prevent the rotation of the transmission bevel gear. Specifically, the shaft connector has a trigger to change the friction between the impeding spring and the friction ring.

  • Patent number: 8789575
Abstract: A stringless blind structure includes a mail rail, a secondary rail, a main blind body and a string body. The main rail, the secondary rail and the main blind body are connected and operated through the string body and a string, so the cost of the structure is lower and the it is more convenient and easier to assemble. Also, the string body winds around two connecting units, and is restricted by the string. When the main blind body expands or restores through the movement of the main rail and the secondary rail, the movement is restricted and controlled by the string to achieve the goal of stringless movement to reduce the noise when the blind moves and to further improve the life quality at home.

  • Patent number: 8776434
Abstract: A side sliding door apparatus for a vehicle includes one of two sliding doors driven by an actuator, and the other moves in conjunction with the one sliding door via a direction converting mechanism. When the sliding door is in a closed condition, a latch rod is inserted into a lock hole to lock the sliding doors in the closed condition. A roller is pushed up on a cam surface when the sliding doors are opened, which releases the locking. An upper level surface of the cam surface forms an inclined surface with a downward gradient, which prevents the roller from unexpectedly going beyond the starting end of the upper level surface and dropping due to vibration or the like being applied to the slider in the unlocked condition, and prevents the locking with the locking mechanism in response to the next sliding door closing command.

  • Patent number: 8769875
Abstract: Garages and other large buildings having wide overhead doors are subject to increased maintenance and cleaning as a result of the unwanted entry of moisture, dead leaves and other debris which are often blown along the surface of the yard or driveway and into the door opening. A rigid threshold section with a pair of flanges is directly mounted below using a lag assembly and receives the overhead door therein to block and deter leaves and other debris from entering the opening when the door is being opened or closed. Cars and other vehicles can drive over the threshold section without difficulty or damage thereto due to its shape and rigidity. Multiple threshold sections can be joined to form a threshold of sufficient length for a particular door width in either a permanent or temporary manner.
