Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating delivery of goods from a retail location to a customer are disclosed. In one method, a request is received from a customer user which includes an order for goods to be delivered from a retail store. One or more delivery users within a predefined geographic area shared with a location of the customer user are identified. A delivery user agrees to pick up the customer's order and deliver the requested goods to the customer's home. Confirmation messages are automatically sent and received when the delivery user picks up the customer's order and again when the order is delivered to the customer. The delivery user can earn rewards or payments upon completion of successful delivery.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present methods and systems are directed to a system and method for managing and editing accounting periods. Particularly, the embodiments are directed to a financial management system that allows for the recordation of financial transactions without first requiring the creation of a user-defined accounting period, and that further allows for the creation, modification, and closure of defined accounting periods.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and methods for electoral and legislative consensus building via a social network provide decision support to assist network users define their legislative priorities and set common legislative agendas. Users include individuals intending to vote (“voters”), lawmakers, electoral candidates, political parties, and others. Decision-assisting Artificial Intelligence, machine learning technology, a corpus of data in the domain of elections and legislation, and database of user stories, generate legislative priorities for user fact-checking, evaluating, debating, and voting to include in common agendas. The network connects voters within and across election districts and national boundaries to build consensus around legislative agendas with cross national scope. The network assists voters form online voting blocs, political parties, and electoral coalitions to elect lawmakers to enact their agendas, by attracting electoral support from voters across partisan lines.

Abstract: Introduced here is a technology that enables a merchant to create customer-targeted, customized communications by use of a merchant platform executing on a financial service system. The merchant platform generates content for communications that is based on a particular customer segment. The customer segment includes one or more groups of customers segmented based on one or more attributes associated with each group of customers. An attribute is determined based on data collected by the financial service system, where the data is related to transaction data of a plurality of merchants.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing payment account information in a user account by receiving payment card information by a card reader at a point of sale. An account can be created when the payment card information is read by the card reader. Optionally, a gift card can be scanned prior to the creation of the account, and the gift card information can be combined with the payment card information. The gift card can be an electronic gift card which can be personalized with textual, visual, video, and/or audio portions.

Abstract: A method of dynamically controlling an inventory comprises receiving, by a server, use quantity information for a first item of a plurality of items, updating an inventory store based on the use quantity information, comparing, by the server, the quantity information with a threshold amount for the first item of the plurality of items, generating, by the server, an order message for the first item based on the comparing, and receiving an additional quantity of the first item in response to the generating of the order message. The use quantity information comprises an amount of the first item used at an establishment, and the inventory store comprises quantity information for the plurality of items available at an establishment.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to automated packing of objects, and, more particularly, to a method and system for packing products with increased efficiency across packaging levels. While conventional methods of improving packaging efficiency focus on only one of the multiple levels in the packaging process, most commonly the tertiary level, the present disclosure attempts increasing packaging efficiency across packaging levels. Embodiments of present disclosure achieves increased efficiency across packaging levels by identifying standard size of secondary packages for packing a plurality of primary packages, packing the secondary packages within tertiary packages using a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) optimization model based on packing heuristics, and providing a feedback between tertiary and secondary packaging levels to identify standard secondary packages which can pack the primary packages with higher packing efficiency.

The received financial statements include financial information associated with the client. Permissions associated with the financial statements are received from the client via the communications network. The financial statements are provided via the communications network to the financial statement user in accordance with the permissions provided by the client.

Abstract: An item return transaction for an item is identified at a transaction terminal. The item is authenticated using multiple factors at least some of which are independent of item code identification for the item. A fraud score is calculated based on the multiple factors, item code identification, and data that is specific to a customer associated with the transaction, specific to the item, specific to a store associated with the transaction terminal, and specific to a retailer associated with the store. The fraud score and a customer-return grade for the customer are processed to determine whether the transaction can complete at the terminal without assistance or whether the transaction is to be held in abeyance for an audit (onsite audit or remote network-based audit). In an embodiment, the t terminal is a Self-Service Terminal (SST) and the transaction is a self-item return transaction conducted by a customer at the terminal.

Furthermore, the method includes creating a first channel of communication between law enforcement and the motorist's legal counsel.

The mobile computing devices communicate with a server and data for the system users is stored on a database. When food or beverages are gifted, a unique token generated by the server and a gift message is transmitted to the second mobile computing device. The user can go to a food or beverage provider and redeem the gift credit by showing the user interface to a staff member of the food or beverage provider. The server can record the unique token for the food or beverage gift as being used and records the value of the food or beverage gift with the food or beverage provider. The server forwards payment for the value of the food or beverage gift to the food or beverage provider.

A plurality of security instructions are located on the non-transitory memory in the POS device and are executable by the one or more hardware processors in the POS device to provide a security engine that is configured to receive environment signals from the one or more environment sensors in the POS device and analyze those environment signals to determine a security breach.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for identifying an available product for an unavailable product to minimize a deviation or distance from an original planned pick path. A computer can transmit instructions corresponding to a path through a location where products are stored to collect a plurality of products stored at locations along the path. In response to receiving a notification for a particular product that the particular product is not at the location where it is stored, the computer can modify the path to include a location of a substitute product for the particular product. The computer can identify a substitute product for the particular product based on a distance from a location of the one more available products to a location along the path and determine a revised path with the substitute product. The path can be revised to include the location for the available product.

A geographic data system may receive a social media data feed and an e-mail feed. The geographic data system may extract theme data from at least one of the social media feed data or the e-mail data and select a first user expense category based at least in part on the theme data. The geographic data system may receive from an application executing at a user computing device location data indicating a first geographic location and generate a location-specific user expense based at least in part on the first user expense category and the location data. The geographic data system may generate a graphical user interface comprising a map including the first geographic location and an indication of the location-specific user expense.
