Abstract: A method of preparing degradable and environment responsive composite microgels, belonging to polymer material synthesis and biomaterial technology fields. Firstly, a copolymer of L-malic acid and 6-hydroxyhexanoate is prepared; then, N,N,N?,N?-tetramethyl cystamine is prepared. The copolymer and N,N,N?,N?-tetramethyl cystamine are mixed in an organic solvent to form a mixed solution which is added into excess distilled water to produce composite microgels. The microgels have advantages of mild preparing conditions, fast reaction speed without catalysts, no impurity remained, and controllable degradation rate. The microgels can load anticancer drug doxorubicin hydrochloride, showing environment responsive controlled release due to introduction of carboxyl groups and disulfide bonds.

Abstract: Nicotinamide ribose has many applications, including as a dietary supplement. This invention convers a process to prepare nicotinamide ribose it in its phosphorylated form. The instant invention is based on the discovery that nicotinamide ribose phosphate emerges in stable form by direct reaction of ribose-1,2-cyclic phosphate. It is based on the further conversion of the phosphorylated nicotinamide ribose product to unphosphorylated nicotinamide ribose upon treatment with an enzymatic phosphatase, most preferably in buffer containing borate. It is based on the further discovery that compositions of nicotinamide ribose with borate slow the decomposition of nicotinamide ribose, and therefore is more useful than compositions of nicotinamide ribose without borate.

Abstract: A method for producing a cellulose derivative, including reacting a mixed acid anhydride having two particular types of acyl groups with cellulose in the presence of a base catalyst in an organic solvent having an electron pair-donating property to form a cellulose derivative with the two types of acyl groups derived from the mixed acid anhydride, the acyl groups being introduced at hydroxy groups in the cellulose.
Abstract: A nobiletin composition having high water solubility and a method for easily producing the same are provided. A method for producing a solid dispersion comprising nobiletin, comprising the step of mixing nobiletin or a nobiletin-containing product with a water-soluble hesperidin derivative, and then melting the mixture by heating; and the step of solidifying the melted product by cooling. A nobiletin-containing composition produced by the method.
Abstract: Provided is a method for producing a cellulose derivative. The method includes forming a first reaction product by reacting non-oxidized cellulose with at least one first alkalization agent in the presence of at least one suitable solvent, wherein the first reaction product includes a non-oxidized alkali-cellulose. The method further includes forming a second reaction product by reacting a monohalo-organic compound with a second alkalization agent in a solution, wherein the second reaction product includes a saturated solution and a sediment. The method further includes increasing a temperature of the saturated solution and dissolving at least a portion of the sediment, and reacting the non-oxidized alkali-cellulose with the second reaction product to form an improved carboxymethyl cellulose.
