Abstract: A digital interactive television set device for selecting program guide data corresponding to available programming content. A processor filters the programming guide data according to different filter categories and also individual filter ranges associated with respective categories, and provides a corresponding display on the television. A graphical user interface provides a horizontal scroll bar with scroll bar elements signifying individual filter ranges of the filter categories, such that when selected individually, scroll bar elements of a vertical scroll bar signify individual program content items from the program data that fall within the filter category and range of the selected horizontal bar element, at least one of the scroll bar elements of the horizontal scroll bar comprising a multiple depiction of more than one of the individual filter ranges of filter categories, whereby an individual one of the filter ranges may be selected from the multiple depiction.
Abstract: A technique for enhancing an audio-driven computer generated animation includes the step of mapping a video clip generated by a digital camera to an object displayed in the animation. Additionally, the object or the video clip can be deformed when selected events are detected during playback of the video clip.
Abstract: The invention relates to a key frame such as a KeyFrameDS. A list of key, length, and value (KLV) attribute groups are used in the KeyFrameDS. The KeyFrameDS may be modified by changing, for example, an attribute group. This may be accomplished, for example, by changing one of its attributes, such as the value attribute.

Abstract: A method of assisting movement of a cursor toward a target on a display screen is disclosed. According to the method, an initial cursor movement is detected. It is determined whether the direction of the initial cursor movement includes a component that is directed toward the target. A movement correction is defined as at least a portion of the component when the cursor is within a predetermined distance from the target. The initial cursor movement is combined with the movement correction to create a total cursor movement. The magnitude of the total cursor movement is adjusted to equal the magnitude of the initial cursor movement. If the cursor is within predetermined distances from multiple targets, a movement correction for each target is defined, and the movement corrections for all targets are combined with the initial cursor movement to create a total cursor movement. The magnitude of the total cursor movement is adjusted to equal the magnitude of the initial cursor movement.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for configuring computer tasks which construct data objects. The system user is able to configure these tasks by the simple expedient of clicking on a toggle switch displayed on a user interface screen or menu. In response to operation of the toggle switch, a selected one of a pair of attribute control files associated with the particular task will be utilized during object construction. The menu contains a list of the activated configured remote devices for the particular imaging system. Next to each device name is a virtual toggle switch (defaulted to OFF). In the OFF state, the task will be configured in accordance with the first attribute control file which is compliant with a first communications standard. If the user toggles the switch for a particular device to ON (this can be done on a per device basis), then the task will be configured in accordance with the second attribute control file which is compliant with a second communications standard.

Abstract: A system and method of creating a graphical presentation, such as a video, based on surfing the results of a web search. The graphical presentation may be constructed from the results of a search wherein each search result represents a URL and each URL is rendered as a graphical image of a web page (a frame) and stored in a file. When the file is viewed, it is displayed in a sequence of rendered frames wherein each frame is displayed for a variable, predetermined amount of time based on the relevance of the particular search result.
