Abstract: A method of optimizing data recovery in an RDF data system in which the occurrence of data values across one or more of subject, predicate, and object are ranked, a handle is assigned to each of one or more of the ranked data values wherein the handle is directly based on the ranking. The rank-based handle can then be used to index the RDF statements. An RDF data recovery system includes an RDF statement processor configured to rank data values and assign handles to data values based on ranking.

Abstract: Embodiments include methods, apparatus, and systems for snapshots in distributed storage systems. One method of software execution includes using a version tree to determine what data blocks are shared between various storage nodes in the version tree in order to create a clone or a snapshot of a storage volume in a distributed storage system that uses quorum-based replication.

Abstract: A search system can include a server, a token assignment unit for assigning types of tokens based on different kinds of character string analysis methods, an index generating unit for generating an index list that associates the tokens assigned with the token assignment unit, a type identification value for identifying a type of the character string analysis, and information, a search unit that receives a search word for referencing the information to combine types of search tokens generated from the search word to generate a single search command for parallel inquiry of the information to search for the information, and a search result generating unit for displaying information extracted in relation to the search word through parallel inquiry with the search unit and search tokens so as to identify the tokens.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, apparatus, and computer program product for performing a search for data. In one embodiment, the process converts each character of the search query into a phonetic variant to form an inflected search query. The process then identifies a set of inflected data fields of a vector space library satisfying the inflected search query. The set of inflected data fields are formed from a set of lightweight directory access protocol data fields of a set of lightweight directory access protocol records. Thereafter, the process generates a search result listing records of the set of records satisfying the search query.

The job recommendations are configured in accordance with a data set based on relational analysis of previous users' activity, or matches between job postings and the user's resume or user profile information. Abstract: The techniques introduced herein provide an efficient mechanism for reducing remote procedure requests to storage server nodes in a cluster of the storage servers to construct a directory path for a data container. According to one aspect of the invention, a new caching technique and an efficient organization of the cache memory are provided so that a cache memory on a storage server node is populated with individual path components of a directory structure. A novel cache invalidation mechanism is provided to maintain cache consistency at the cache so that when a path component changes, such as an identifier of a data container in the directory structure, and a path component is invalidated in the cache memory, the remaining path components can be retained and later reused.

Abstract: Various embodiments described and illustrated herein include at least one of systems, methods, and software to identify and resolve violations of system and process performance measuring metrics. Following identification of such a violation, some embodiments may identify and cause a solution to be implemented. Following implementation of a solution, the violated metrics are again applied and the results evaluated to verify resolution of the metric violation. Some embodiments may repeat this process until the metric violation or violations are resolved.

Abstract: A search system generates an ordered list of destination targets including identified individuals and data objects, based on applying a user context to an information context and to a connection context. The user context identifies a search context (i.e., the information the user is seeking) relative to an identity of the user, and the information context identifies destinations accessible by the user, including data objects and communications-based actions (e.g., voice over IP telephony calls, instant messaging session transcripts, etc.). The connection context identifies relationships between chosen destinations throughout the system, and the strength of those relationships determined from artifacts of the chosen destinations: the connection context is updated based on artifact detection. The portion of the connection context that is relevant to the user context is used to order the portion of the information context that is relevant to the user context, resulting in the ordered list of destination targets.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for implementing a value help search that includes receiving a value help search criteria from a user and sending the value help requests to multiple backend systems using a server computer system in a service oriented architecture system. Sending the value help search criteria may include a specific search help name to one of the multiple backend systems. The value help search service receives both metadata and result data from said one of the multiple backend systems. The metadata describes the structure of a search results. The value help search service may generate a search result table from the result data received from the backend system.

Abstract: Methods and computer-readable media for associating words or groups of words distilled from content, such as reported speech or an attitude report, of a document to form semantic relationships collectively used to generate a semantic representation of the content are provided. Semantic representations may include elements identified or parsed from a text portion of the content, the elements of which may be associated with other elements that share a semantic relationship, such as an agent, location, or topic relationship. Relationships may also be developed by associating one element that is in relation to, or is about, another element, thereby allowing for rapid and effective comparison of associations found in a semantic representation with associations derived from queries. The semantic relationships may be determined based on semantic information, such as potential meanings and grammatical functions of each element within the text portion of the content.

Abstract: A digital archive system includes a plurality of digital files and a user interface that allows a user to designate any one of the files as an anchor file and to link other ones of the files to a designated anchor file. The user interface allows a user to annotate each file linked to an anchor file with information describing the respective file and any relationship between the anchor file and the respective linked file. The content of an anchor file and all files linked thereto can be displayed via the user interface.

Abstract: Data replication with delta compression is disclosed. A primary system and a replica system are determined to both have an identical first data segment that is similar to a second data segment. The second data segment is encoded, wherein the encoding refers to the first data segment.

Abstract: A data transfer application implemented in a computational device receives a request to copy a plurality of storage volumes that form a consistency group. A determination is made that a first storage volume of the plurality of storage volumes is more likely to be written into than a second storage volume of the plurality of storage volumes, in response to receiving the request to copy the plurality of storage volumes. The first storage volume is copied before copying the second storage volume, in response to determining that the first storage volume is more likely to be written into than the second storage volume.

Abstract: A method, device, and computer program product are provided for regular expression learning is provided. An initial regular expression may be received from a user. The initial regular expression is executed over a database. Positive matches and negative matches are labeled. The initial regular expression and the labeled positive and negative matches are input in a transformation process. The transformation process may iteratively execute character class restrictions, quantifier restrictions, negative lookaheads on the initial regular expression to transform the initial regular expression into the pool of candidate regular expressions. The transformation process may execute, one at a time, the character class restrictions, quantifier restrictions, the negative lookaheads. A candidate regular expression is selected from the pool of candidate regular expressions, where the selected candidate regular expression has a best F-Measure out of the pool of candidate regular expressions.

In one embodiment, the user specifically associates a profile behavior to the calendar entry when the calendar entry is first created.

The task sequence is converted into an ordered series of steps, and the series of steps are performed, in accordance with their order, in managing a device over a network. In certain implementations, the ordered series of steps are steps for automatically deploying an operating system on the device.

Abstract: Common metadata exposure with digital images involves making image metadata types that are common across multiple image file formats accessible via an application programming interface (API). In an example embodiment, a browser exposes an image metadata API that may be called with reference to a preselected image metadata name. The browser determines an image metadata value that is associated with the preselected image metadata name from image metadata of a targeted image. When the image metadata value is returned to a caller of the image metadata API, the caller may consume or present the image metadata value in any manner.
