  • Patent number: 10115147
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to enhance convenience and service qualities in an information distribution system. In a server serving as an information distribution apparatus and an information communication terminal, contents are managed by using content identifiers (content IDs) managed as IDs conforming to a rule of uniformity. Particularly, in the information communication terminal, a content ripped from a recording medium such as a CD and stored in storage means such as an HDD is also managed by using a content identifier acquired from the information distribution apparatus. In this way, contents stored in the storage means can be managed by using content IDs each managed as an ID common to the information communication terminal and the information distribution apparatus.

  • Patent number: 9516633
Abstract: A method allocating transmission resources in an OFDM wireless telecommunication system configured to communicate data using plural OFDM sub-carriers. The method allocates transmission resources provided by a first group of the plural OFDM sub-carriers within a first frequency band to terminals of first type; allocates transmission resources provided by a second group of the plural OFDM sub-carriers within a second frequency band to terminals of second type, the second group being smaller than the first group and the second frequency band selected from within the first frequency band; transmits control information including resource allocation information for terminals of the first type over a first bandwidth corresponding to the combined first and second groups of OFDM sub-carriers; and then transmits control information including resource allocation information for terminals of the second type over a second bandwidth corresponding to the second group of OFDM sub-carriers.

  • Patent number: 9451605
Abstract: A method for efficiently transmitting and receiving control information through a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) is provided. When a User Equipment (UE) receives control information through a PDCCH, the received control information is set to be decoded in units of search spaces, each having a specific start position in the specific subframe. Here, a modulo operation according to a predetermined first constant value (D) is performed on an input value to calculate a first result value, and a modulo operation according to a predetermined first variable value (C) corresponding to the number of candidate start positions that can be used as the specific start position is performed on the calculated first result value to calculate a second result value and an index position corresponding to the second result value is used as the specific start position. Transmitting control information in this manner enables a plurality of UEs to efficiently receive PDCCHs without collisions.

  • Patent number: 9379859
Abstract: Downclocking and/or adaptive sub-carriers for single user, multiple user, multiple access, and/or MIMO wireless communications. Communication device operation within a wireless local area network (WLAN/WiFi) is effectuated in the frequency spectra typically associated with television broadcast channels. Operation is made on a secondary non-interfering basis to such television broadcast channels. Any desired channel bandwidth (e.g., 6 MHz, 7 MHz, 8 MHz, etc.) may be employed. Adaptation with respect to the number of data sub-carriers within different respective packets may be made in accordance with two or more respective operational modes. For example, modification of the number of data sub-carriers in different respective packets may be made to increase the signal bandwidth from a first band was to a second bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 9098335
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system for managing spillover via a plurality of cores of a multi-core device intermediary to a plurality of clients and one or more services. The system may include a device intermediary to a plurality of clients and one or more services. The system may include a spillover limit of a resource. The device may also include a plurality of packet engines operating on a corresponding core of a plurality of cores of the device. The system may include a pool manager allocating to each of the plurality of packet engines a number of resource uses from an exclusive quota pool and shared quota pool based on the spillover limit. The device may also include a virtual server of a packet engine of the plurality of packet engines. The virtual server manages client requests to one or more services.

  • Patent number: 8630257
Abstract: The present invention relates to a handover method of a mobile station in a wireless communication system, and a base station and a mobile station for the same. A list of neighboring base stations that can accept a handover of a mobile station is shared by the mobile station and a serving base station before the mobile station performs the handover so as to reduce handover delay time in a high speed environment through addition, the active base station set managed by the mobile station and the serving base station can be managed with consideration of radio signal quality and resource state of each of the neighboring base stations included in the active base station set, and thus when the mobile station attempts a network re-entry process to a target base station that is not ready for the handover of the mobile station due to a loss of a handover control message, a handover failure due to a lack of radio resources can be prevented, thereby increasing a handover success rate.
