  • Patent number: 11736356
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for associating data message flows from applications executing on a host computer with network interfaces of the computer. The method of some embodiments identifies a set of applications operating on a machine executing on the host computer, identifies candidate teaming policies for associating each identified application with a subset of one or more interfaces, and generates a report to display the identified candidate teaming policies per application to a user. In response to user input selecting a first teaming policy for a first application, the method generates a rule, and distributes the rule, to the host computer to associate the first application with a first subset of the network interfaces specified by the first teaming policy.

  • Patent number: 11677839
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and techniques are directed to automatic coalescing of GPU-initiated network communications. In one method, a communication engine receives, from a shared memory application executing on a first graphics processing unit (GPU), a first communication request assigned to or having a second GPU as a destination to be processed. The communication engine determines that the first communication request satisfies a coalescing criterion and stores the first communication request in association with a group of requests that have a common property. The communication engine coalesces the group of requests into a coalesced request and transports the coalesced request to the second GPU over a network.

  • Patent number: 11665254
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include computer-implemented systems, apparatuses, and processes that dynamically generate and provision contextually relevant notifications to network-connected devices. For example, an apparatus receives a first signal that includes information indicative of an authorized data exchange involving a terminal device and a client device. The apparatus identifies and loads data specifying a notification template from the storage unit, and generates notification data that is populated with a portion of the received information in accordance with the notification template. The apparatus further transmits a second signal that includes the notification data to the client device. In some instances, the second signal is transmitted through a programmatic interface associated with an application program executed by the client device, and the client device is configured to display the notification data on a corresponding interface.

  • Patent number: 11637790
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing intent-based orchestration using network parsimony trees. In various embodiments, in response to receiving a request for network services that comprises desired characteristics and performance parameters for the requested network services without information regarding specific hardware, hardware type, location, or network, a computing system might generate a request-based parsimony tree based on the desired characteristics and performance parameters. The computing system might access, from a datastore, a plurality of network-based parsimony trees that are each generated based on measured network metrics, might compare the request-based parsimony tree with each of one or more network-based parsimony trees to determine a fitness score for each network-based parsimony tree, and might identify a best-fit network-based parsimony tree based on the fitness scores.

  • Patent number: 11615422
Abstract: A user may respond to a request of another user by entering text, such as a customer service representative responding to a customer. As the user enters text, a suggested completion of the text may be suggested to the user so that the user may select the suggested completion instead of continuing to enter text. Previous messages between the two users and other information may be used to determine an appropriate suggested completion to the entered text. A neural network language model and a search graph may be used to select a suggested completion from a search graph of possible suggested completions.

  • Patent number: 11606245
Abstract: Some examples of the present disclosure relate to validating endpoints in a service mesh of a distributed computing environment. In one example, a processor can receive configuration settings applied to an endpoint in a data plane of a service mesh in a distributed computing environment. The processor can receive configuration data associated with a configuration of hardware components and software components in the distributed computing environment. The processor can determine a discrepancy between the configuration settings and the configuration data. The processor can then output the discrepancy for use in resolving an operational error relating to the service mesh.

  • Patent number: 11606331
Abstract: Improved methods for retrieval of content from CDNs is provided that includes a rendezvous controller that receives information of an identification of content being requested and an estimated location of a content requesting device. Based on this information, the rendezvous system identifies a server within a CDN from which the requested content may be retrieved. The selected server may be based on a repeatable hash function such that the likelihood that the content being requested is cached at the selected server. Steering requests to a server of the CDN which may have the content cached may reduce the number of servers within the CDN with the same cached content, particularly for the highest requested content. The rendezvous system may then return a corresponding domain name associated with the selected server and that can be subsequently submitted to a DNS for resolution to the IP address of the identified server.

  • Patent number: 11593443
Abstract: Operational machine components of an information technology (IT) or other microprocessor- or microcontroller-permeated environment generate disparate forms of machine data. Network connections are established between these components and processors of an automatic data intake and query system (DIQS). The DIQS conducts network transactions on a periodic and/or continuous basis with the machine components to receive the disparate data and ingest certain of the data as measurement entries of a DIQS metrics datastore that is searchable for DIQS query processing. The DIQS may receive search queries to process against the received and ingested data via an exposed network interface. In one example embodiment, a query building component conducts a user interface using a network attached client device. The query building component may elicit search criteria via the user interface using a natural language interface, construct a proper query therefrom, and present new information based on results returned from the DIQS.

  • Patent number: 11588744
Abstract: A triggering system of a message processing service invokes a dispatch function to execute code to determine a set of message consumption functions to launch in order to process a set of messages from a queue. The dispatch function determines, based at least in part on the number of messages in the queue, the number of message consumption functions of the set that are to process these messages. The dispatch function invokes, based on the determination, the set of message consumption functions to process the set of messages from the queue.
