  • Patent number: 11862179
Abstract: A system may receive a communication from a user, which may include a vocal sample. The system may transform the vocal sample from a wavelength domain into a frequency domain. The system may determine a divergence of one or more amplitude values of the transformed frequency domain from a predetermined frequency distribution. According to some embodiments, the predetermined frequency distribution may be a Benford's distribution. When the divergence exceeds a predetermined threshold, the system may execute one or more security measures. The one or more security measures may include (i) transferring the user from an automated operator to a human operator, (ii) requiring second factor authentication from the user, and/or (iii) denying a user-initiated request.

  • Patent number: 11853697
Abstract: An approach is provided in which a method, system, and program product build a time series prediction model based on one or more relationships between a first set of keywords in a set of first news articles and a second set of keywords in a set of second news articles. The time series prediction model includes a time-based interest level adjustment corresponding to a publication time between the set of first news articles and the set second of news articles. The method, system, and program product use the time series prediction model to compute an inherited initial interest level of a third news article that includes a set of new keywords based on the set of new keywords and the time-based interest level adjustment. The method, system, and program product assign the inherited initial interest level to the third news article.

  • Patent number: 11853297
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to a system and method for providing an automated assistant that retrieves information from a knowledge base in response to a user's natural language question. A user's natural language question voice is transformed into an intermediate representation. From the intermediate representation, a cypher query is generated which may be used to query the database. The query results are provided in response to the user. The transformation into the intermediate representation is database independent while the cypher query is dependent upon the database queried.

  • Patent number: 11842161
Abstract: Methods and systems for enhanced natural language processing of clinical documentation are provided. Using natural language processing, a clinical condition is extracted from unstructured data within a current electronic document. A clinical ontology identifying itemsets associated with the clinical condition is retrieved, and indicators of relevant clinical concepts, as identified from the ontology, are searched from within the patient's longitudinal record, which comprises documentation from at least a prior encounter. Based on the whether the clinical concepts are present in the patent's record, a confidence is assigned to the NLP-extracted clinical condition, and one or more actions may be performed.

  • Patent number: 11842205
Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose mechanisms to map natural language input to an application programming interface (API) call. The natural language input is first mapped to an API frame, which is a representation of the API call without any API call formatting. The mapping from natural language input to API frame is performed using a trained sequence to sequence neural model. The sequence to sequence neural model is decomposed into small prediction units called modules. Each module is highly specialized at predicting a pre-defined kind of sequence output. The output of the modules can be displayed in an interactive user interface that allows the user to add, remove, and/or modify the output of the individual modules. The user input can be used as further training data. The API frame is mapped to an API call using a deterministic mapping.

  • Patent number: 11842410
Abstract: A scalable system provides automated conversation review that can identify potential miscommunications. The system may provide suggested actions to fix errors in intelligent virtual assistant (IVA) understanding, may prioritize areas of language model repair, and may automate the review of conversations. By the use of an automated system for conversation review, problematic interactions can be surfaced without exposing the entire set of conversation logs to human reviewers, thereby minimizing privacy invasion. A scalable system processes conversations and autonomously marks the interactions where the IVA is misunderstanding the user.

  • Patent number: 11817110
Abstract: The invention provides an efficient implementation of cross-product enhanced high-frequency reconstruction (HFR), wherein a new component at frequency Q?+r?0 is generated on the basis of existing components at ? and ?+?0. The invention provides a block-based harmonic transposition, wherein a time block of complex subband samples is processed with a common phase modification. Superposition of several modified samples has the net effect of limiting undesirable intermodulation products, thereby enabling a coarser frequency resolution and/or lower degree of oversampling to be used. In one embodiment, the invention further includes a window function suitable for use with block-based cross-product enhanced HFR. A hardware embodiment of the invention may include an analysis filter bank, a subband processing unit configurable by control data and a synthesis filter bank.

  • Patent number: 11816151
Abstract: Embodiments cover identifying an unidentified media content item as a cover of a known media content item using lyrical contents. In an example, a processing device receives an unidentified media content item and determines lyrical content associated with the unidentified media content item. The processing device then determines a lyrical similarity between the lyrical content associated with the unidentified media content item and additional lyrical content associated with a known media content item of a plurality of known media content items. The processing device then identifies the unidentified media content item as a cover of the known media content item based at least in part on the lyrical similarity, resulting in an identified cover-media content item.

  • Patent number: 11782985
Abstract: Systems and methods for improving question-answering recall for complex, multi-sentence, convergent questions. More specifically, an autonomous agent accesses an initial answer that partly answers a question received from a user device. The agent represents the question and the initial answer as discourse trees. From the discourse trees, the agent identifies entities in the question that are not addressed by the answer. The agent forms an additional discourse tree from an additional resource such as a corpus of text. The additional discourse tree rhetorically connects a non-addressed entity with the answer. The agent designates this discourse tree as an imaginary discourse tree. When combined with the initial answer discourse tree, the imaginary discourse tree is used to generate an improved answer relative to existing solutions.

  • Patent number: 11749288
Abstract: Encoding and decoding devices for encoding the channels of an audio system having at least four channels are disclosed. The decoding device has a first stereo decoding component which subjects a first pair of input channels to a first stereo decoding, and a second stereo decoding component which subjects a second pair of input channels to a second stereo decoding. The results of the first and second stereo decoding components are crosswise coupled to a third and a fourth stereo decoding component which each performs stereo decoding on one channel resulting from the first stereo decoding component, and one channel resulting from the second stereo decoding component.

  • Patent number: 11741316
Abstract: An autonomous agent creates a first semantic tree from a question and second semantic tree from a candidate answer. The agent identifies, between the first semantic tree and the second semantic tree, common subtrees and calculates a semantic alignment score from a sum of sizes of each of the common subtrees. The agent forms a first syntactic tree for the question and a second syntactic tree for the candidate answer. The agent identifies a number of common syntactic nodes between the first syntactic tree and the second syntactic tree. The agent calculates a syntactic alignment score based on the number of common syntactic nodes. Responsive to determining that a sum of the semantic alignment score and the syntactic alignment score is greater than a threshold, the agent outputs the candidate answer to a device.

  • Patent number: 11727939
Abstract: A network node in a communication network receives, from a user equipment, a cluster of audio segments. The network node calculates a first confidence measure representing a first probability that a first speaker model represents a speaker of the cluster of audio segments. The network node also calculates a second confidence measure representing a second probability that a second speaker model represents the speaker of the cluster of audio segments. In response to the first confidence measure and the second confidence measure both representing probabilities that are higher than a target probability, the network node updates a first user profile associated with the first speaker model and a second user profile associated with the second speaker model based on a user preference assigned to the cluster of audio segments.
