  • Patent number: 11625724
Abstract: A device may determine that a verification method associated with a transaction card is to be modified from a first verification method to a second verification method. The first verification method and the second verification method may use different types of verification information. The device may provide a set of instructions to the transaction card after determining that the verification method is to be modified. The set of instructions may cause the transaction card to modify the verification method from the first verification method to the second verification method. The device may provide information identifying a modification to the verification method to a transaction backend device to notify the transaction backend device that the verification method associated with the transaction card has been modified from the first verification method to the second verification method.

  • Patent number: 11568192
Abstract: In a multilayer chip component according to an aspect of the present disclosure, dots of a two-dimensional code provided on a main surface of an element body has a semicircular cross-sectional shape. That is, since substantially no corner portions are present in a cross-sectional shape of the dots, stress is unlikely to remain when the dots are formed, and stress is unlikely to be concentrated after the dots are formed. Therefore, cracking is unlikely to occur in the foregoing multilayer chip component.

  • Patent number: 11568161
Abstract: An improved system and method for reading an upconversion response from nanoparticle inks is provided. A is adapted to direct a near-infrared excitation wavelength at a readable indicia, resulting in a near-infrared emission wavelength created by the upconverting nanoparticle inks. A short pass filter may filter the near-infrared excitation wavelength. A camera is in operable communication with the short pass filter and receives the near-infrared emission wavelength of the readable indicia. The system may further include an integrated circuit adapted to receive the near-infrared emission wavelength from the camera and generate a corresponding signal. A readable application may be in operable communication with the integrated circuit. The readable application receives the corresponding signal, manipulates the signal, decodes the signal into an output, and displays and/or stores the output.

  • Patent number: 11538265
Abstract: An orientation tag provides orientation information and, by affixing the orientation tag to an object, orientation information of the object. The orientation tag displays different orientation information based on viewing the orientation tag at different angles. In particular, the orientation tag displays an angle and direction that the orientation tag is rotated about a horizontal axis relative to a viewer, and an angle and direction that the orientation tag is rotated about a vertical axis relative to the viewer. Viewing the orientation tag enables determining an angle and direction (e.g., depth information) that the orientation tag is rotated about a depth axis relative to the viewer. The orientation information and the depth information facilitate determining the orientation of the orientation tag in three dimensions. An output device outputs a user interactive experience based on the orientation information and the depth information provided by the orientation tag.

Abstract: A method for anti-counterfeit inspection of a QR code of an agricultural product based on a watermark library. The method includes establishing a watermark-containing QR code library; tracing a QR code watermark image; and verifying the QR code watermark image. Watermark-containing QR codes are generated by a QR code generation module and a watermark library, and the watermark-containing QR codes are constructed as the watermark-containing QR code library. The watermark-containing QR code library is used to verify the QR code watermark image, and the QR code watermark image is obtained by tracing the watermark-containing QR codes. In the method for anti-counterfeit inspection of a QR code of an agricultural product based on a watermark library, an image watermark library is designed, so that the embedding of a watermark is no longer single.

  • Patent number: 11507951
Abstract: A system that automates the clearing and settlement of electronic coupons (E-Coupons) by leveraging existing technologies and enabling E-Coupon redemption at any merchant having electronic funds transfer (EFT) capabilities, such as credit/debit card acceptance. The system reduces opportunities for fraud, reduces or eliminates the need for manual clearinghouse counting and sorting of coupons, and provides an electronic audit trail for coupon redemption, tying a specific purchase to a specific coupon. After registering and selecting coupons, consumers then use an E-Coupon card or account access device at a merchant's point-of-sale (POS) terminal. E-Coupon values are deducted from the consumer's final amount due. Both consumer package goods manufacturers (CPGs) and merchants may be charged a fee. Expired coupons are automatically removed from the account and their value refunded to the CPGs. Reports on redeemed coupons and consumer profiles can be generated and provided to CPGs or merchants.
