Abstract: The present invention provides assistance to a user that is on-boarding an action for a virtual assistant. Methods and systems provide, based on an initial command group, recommendations for additional commands, actions, and applications that are relevant to commands included in the initial command group. The initial command group includes commands that include a sequence of natural language words or tokens. Additional commands are determined. The additional commands are relevant to the initial commands and provided to the user as recommended commands to include in the command group. The additional commands are determined by employing the initial commands as search queries to search preprocessed document clusters. Each document included in the document clusters relates to a potential command to include in the command group. In response to receiving a selection of a recommended command, the command group is updated to include the selected recommended command.

Abstract: Systems and methods for file replication using file content location identifiers. An example method comprises: receiving, by a processing device, an index node number identifying a first index node associated with a file residing on a first file server, the first index node referencing a physical location of contents of the file; identifying a replica of the file residing on a second file server; assigning the index node number of the first index node to a second index node referencing a physical location of contents of the replica of the file on the second file server; performing, by the processing device, a file system operation by accessing the replica of the file referenced by the index node number.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for a time-based checkpoint target is provided for standby databases. Change records received from a primary database are applied for a standby database, creating dirty buffer queues. As the change records are applied, a mapping is maintained, which maps timestamps to logical times of change records that were most recently applied at the timestamp for the standby database. On a periodic dirty buffer queue processing interval, the mapping is used to determine a target logical time that is mapped to a target timestamp that is prior to a present timestamp by at least a checkpoint delay. The dirty buffer queues are then processed up to the target logical time, creating an incremental checkpoint. On a periodic header update interval, file headers reflecting a consistent logical time for the checkpoint are also updated. The intervals and the checkpoint delay are adjustable by user or application.

Abstract: A search engine is configured to return increased diversity results based on past user interactions with search results. For a given query, historical data is analyzed to generate an item score describing a past quantity of users that navigated to a given page of an item. The historical data can further be used to generate a category score describing a past quantity of users that navigated to a given category of items. The category of items can be analyzed to generate a diversity score describing their diversity with respect to each other. Results for the given query can be arranged using items scores, category scores, and diversity scores.

Abstract: DIY (Do-It-Yourself) is challenging for many novices, requiring extensive knowledge such as the usage of particular tools and the properties of the required materials. Many DIYers use web searches to find relevant information and instructions, but web search is time-consuming and the results often do not fit the DIYers' specific needs. To address these problems, we present a Question Answering (QA) system that can assist DIYers through the whole cycle of a DIY project. Given a natural language question about a DIY project, the QA system described herein provides an answer along with the explanations that are tailored to the DIYers' specific needs.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system and method is illustrated including receiving a feedback request identifying a particular user, retrieving a feedback entry in response to the feedback request, the feedback entry containing a first term, building a scoring model based, in part, upon a term frequency count denoting a frequency with which the first term appears in a searchable data structure, mapping the first term to a graphical illustration based upon a second term associated with the graphical illustration such that the graphical illustration may be used to represent the second term, and generating a feedback page containing the first term and the graphical illustration. The method may include assigning a value to the first term so as to identify the first term, assigning the first term to the searchable data structure, and extracting the first term from the searchable data structure based, in part, upon an extraction rule.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-based system for supporting Product Customer Support Systems by means for parameter-free and fully unsupervised: clustering of a selected set documents (e.g., based on a query from some database) with unknown ontology (e.g., cases from Customer Support System); building a taxonomy for sets of documents with unknown ontology/taxonomy; enabling a semi-supervised tagging/navigation/recommendations for documents and cross-learning using auxiliary sources (e.g., linking other fields/metadata in Customer Support Systems such as Knowledge DataBase).

Abstract: A computer implemented method is provided for recommending at least one author of a plurality of authors to a user based on a learned lexicon of the user. First communication content pertaining to a user is obtained. Second communication content pertaining to an author is obtained. A lexicon of the user is learned from the first communication content to identify a set of words known to the user. High frequency words are identified from the second communication content of the author, the high frequency words being one or more words having an occurrence frequency in the second communication content that is higher than a first predetermined threshold occurrence frequency level. The author is suggested to the user upon detecting that the high frequency words are not in the lexicon of the user.

Abstract: A system and method for automated multi-channel customer journey testing, that links communication channels and follows a customer interaction across multiple channels as a single journey, incorporating data and interaction content from each channel utilized to maintain a “big picture” view of a customer's journey across these channels during an interaction. The invention also provides flexible success indicators to accommodate virtual assistant and chat bot programs, by accommodating variances in expected test results such as to handle natural language variance, time of day, context, and other factors that may cause variances in interaction content.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and apparatus for operating on a file. A specific embodiment of the method comprises: receiving a request of an operation on a target file, acquiring index information associated with a storage space address of a data page based on a file name and a data page identifier, the index information being stored in an on-chip memory of a processor for executing a machine instruction corresponding to the operation; and finding the data page based on the index information, and performing the operation on the data page. Accordingly, the operation on the file is implemented depending on an index stored in the on-chip memory, so that memory overheads of accessing the index are equivalent to 0, and memory resources are saved, thereby reducing system overheads.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, automatic modification-triggered transfer of a file among two or more computer systems associated with a user. In some embodiments, a copy of a first file may be received, via a first application at a first computer system, from a second application at a second computer system associated with a user. The first file copy may be automatically received from the second application responsive to the user modifying a content of the first file, where the first file copy is a version of the first file that is generated from the user modifying the content of the first file. Responsive to receiving the first file copy from the second computer system, the first file copy may be automatically transferred via the first application to a third computer system associated with the user to replace an older version of the first file stored on the third computer system.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer-readable media for determining a distribution of various visiting frequencies among devices/elements detected at a site. A method includes generating a list representing a portion of devices detected at a site over a first time period based on wireless signals transmitted by the devices and received at an access point and determining a visiting frequency for each device represented in the list based on data representing devices previously detected at the site. The method further includes, based on the visiting frequency determined for each device represented in the list, estimating a distribution of each visiting frequency among the devices detected at the site over the first time period to yield a plurality of estimated distributions and storing the plurality of estimated distributions for further processing.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a tiered storage system is disclosed that provides for failover protection during data backup operations. The system can provide for an index, or catalog, for identifying and enabling restoration of backup data located on a storage device. The system further maintains a set of transaction logs generated by media agent modules that identify metadata with respect to individual data chunks of a backup file on the storage device. A copy of the catalog and transaction logs can be stored at a location accessible by each of the media agent modules. In this manner, in case of a failure of one media agent module during backup, the transaction logs and existing catalog can be used by a second media agent module to resume the backup operation without requiring a restart of the backup process.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for organizing meeting content. The technique includes generating, from a set of available meetings, a thread comprising a collection of related meetings that share one or more attributes. The technique also includes aggregating data for the related meetings, where the data comprises metadata for the related meetings and terms included in recordings of the related meetings. The technique further includes outputting at least a portion of the aggregated data within a summary of the thread.

The address book may collect or update its existing contact information from sent or received communications. Contact information associated with the existing contacts also may be collected (or updated based on information received) from outside sources (e.g., external to an application hosting or accessing the address book). Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically grouping data analysis content derived from a plurality of sensors. In one embodiment, a plurality of sensors can be disposed on a plurality of machine trains or one or more components within the plurality of machine trains, each machine train including one or more machines configured to operate in an industrial environment. A communication circuit can be operatively coupled to the plurality of sensors and configured to communicate data measured by the plurality of sensors, and a graphical user interface (GUI) can be configured to generate one or more visualizations of the measured data. Abstract: A revision request is received at a revision control system that includes a repository identifier, version summary information, and a change description. In response to receiving the revision request, a determination is made as to whether a document repository identified by the repository identifier is active or offline. If the document repository is offline, the version summary information is utilized to determine whether the revision request is probably consistent with current contents of the document repository. If the revision request is probably consistent with the current contents of the document repository, the revision request is placed into a queue, an acceptance message is transmitted in response to the revision request, the document repository is placed into an active state, and the revision request is dequeued and applied to the document repository using the change description.
