  • Patent number: 11846508
Abstract: A microelectromechanical gyroscope comprising first, second, third and fourth Coriolis masses, arranged in that order on an x-axis. In the primary oscillation mode, the Coriolis masses are configured to oscillate so that the second and third Coriolis masses move in linear translation along the x-axis away from a center point when the first and fourth Coriolis masses move in linear translation along the x-axis towards the first center point, and vice versa. When the gyroscope undergoes rotation about a y-axis which is perpendicular to the x-axis, the Coriolis masses are configured to oscillate so that the first, second, third and fourth Coriolis masses undergo vertical motion in a z-direction, wherein the first and third Coriolis masses move up when the second and fourth Coriolis masses move down, and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 11435260
Abstract: A vibration data collection device monitors vibration of a machine, generates original machine vibration waveform data based on the monitored vibration, and removes portions of the original machine vibration waveform data that do not indicate an occurrence of a vibration event related to a potential fault in the machine. The vibration data collection device then stores thinned waveform data that includes blocks of the original machine vibration waveform data and excludes the portions that have been removed. A data analysis computer generates a thinned waveform plot based on the thinned waveform data. In some embodiments, the thinned waveform plot includes the blocks of original machine vibration waveform data separated in time by gaps representing the portions that have been removed.

  • Patent number: 10884368
Abstract: A protection member is arranged such that the distance from an opening plane of a reception guide to the center of the protection member is half of the distance from the opening plane of the reception guide to the surface of a reception vibration member. In other words, the arrangement position of the protection member is in the center between the opening plane of the reception guide and the surface of the reception vibration member. Accordingly, even if a protection member is arranged, a transmission coefficient is obtained that is equal to a transmission coefficient in the case where no protection member is present.

  • Patent number: 10883861
Abstract: An optical fiber distributed acoustic sensor system includes weak broadband reflectors inserted periodically along the fiber. The reflectors reflect only a small proportion of the light from the DAS incident thereon back along the fiber, typically in the region of 0.001% to 0.1%, but preferably around 0.01% reflectivity per reflector. In addition, to allow for temperate compensation to ensure that the same reflectivity is obtained if the temperature changes, the reflection bandwidth is relatively broadband. In some embodiments the reflectors are formed from a series of fiber Bragg gratings, each with a different center reflecting frequency, the reflecting frequencies and bandwidths of the gratings being selected to provide the broadband reflection. A chirped grating may also be used to provide the same effect. In preferred embodiments, the reflectors are spaced at half the gauge length i.e. the desired spatial resolution of the optical fiber DAS.
