Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The mobile terminal according to the present invention includes a touchscreen configured to display an execution screen of an application, and a controller configured to respectively display, on the execution screen, a mark corresponding to a page displayed on the execution screen and a mark corresponding to a page changed from the page and, upon reception of input for selecting one of the displayed marks, to display a page corresponding to a selected mark on the execution screen. According to the present invention, a mark corresponding to a page displayed on an application execution screen is displayed to allow a specific page to be easily accessed.

Abstract: A message-browsing system includes an image storage unit storing user images corresponding to respective multiple users, a motion storage unit storing pieces of motion information defining motions of the images associated with types of feelings or forms of posts, a keyword storage unit storing keywords according to the types of feelings, a determination unit determining whether or not any of the types can be identified from a sentence of a post by determining whether the sentence includes any of the keywords stored in the keyword storage unit, and a setting unit, when a type of feelings can be identified, selecting one of pieces of motion information that corresponds to the identified type of feelings, selecting one piece of motion information that corresponds to a form of the post when the type cannot be identified, and setting a motion of a user image corresponding to the user who has contributed the post based on the selected piece of motion information.

Abstract: A paragraph alignment detection engine and a section reconstruction engine. The paragraph alignment detection engine determines the paragraph alignment of a paragraph and updates the paragraph alignment property of the paragraph in the data store for single line and multi-line paragraphs. The paragraph alignment detection engine employs per paragraph comparisons and relative comparisons to other paragraphs to determine the paragraph alignment of a single line paragraph. The paragraph alignment detection engine employs per paragraph comparisons and relative comparisons of the lines of a paragraph to determine the paragraph alignment of a multi-line paragraph. The section reconstruction engine minimizes the number of sections created in the flow format document by identifying the columns on each page, combining contiguous pages with the same column layout into a single section, and creating alternative objects to contain regions associated special cases in lieu of creating additional sections.

Abstract: In a method for managing modifications to elements of a website, receiving one or more modifications to an element of a first webpage, wherein the first webpage is a member of a website. The method further includes determining one or more webpages that include one or more instances of the modified element of the first webpage, wherein the determined one or more webpages are members of the website. The method further includes mapping a location for each of the one or more instances of the modified element within a respective webpage of the determined one or more webpages. The method further includes rendering at least a portion of the determined one or more webpages, wherein the rendered portion of the determined one or more webpages includes the location of the corresponding instance of the modified element.

Abstract: To provide an information processing device that facilitates an audience to transmit information thereto. This information processing device is configured to include a memory part having an audience area and to be connected with first (presenter side) and second (audience side) terminals. The audience area records a various kinds of information including a presentation material of plural page numbers. The device operates to (1) read out only a character string added with a page number selected by the second terminal from the memory part and causes the second terminal to output the resulting string, (2) record additionally an information combination on an audience writing area which is formed of a character string entered from the second terminal, the selected page number, and a terminal ID, and (3) cause the first terminal to read out the information combination added with the selected page number and to output the resulting information combination.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure disclose methods, and systems for capturing, sharing and printing annotations. The method includes receiving a physical document including hand-written annotation, the hand-written annotation is made by a user corresponding to at least a portion of the physical document. The method further includes capturing the hand-written annotation and corresponding position information of the hand-written annotation, wherein capturing further includes capturing position information of the at least portion of the physical document. Further, the method includes storing the captured hand-written annotation, position information of the hand-written annotation and position information of the at least portion of the physical document. Moreover, the method includes associating the hand-written annotation to the at least portion of the physical document. Additionally, the method includes sharing the hand-written annotation with other users.

Abstract: Techniques for annotation driven Representational State Transfer (REST) web services are presented. A platform-independent World-Wide Web application is annotated to expose the methods of the application when accessed via a WWW site. The methods are described when rendered via a WWW site in a REST compliant format (RESTful).

Abstract: One exemplary embodiment involves downloading electronic content for editing at a local editing application, the electronic content received from a remote network source accessed through a web browser's connection to the source, the local editing application separate from the web browser. The embodiment further involves identifying edits made at the local editing application to the electronic content resulting in a new version of the electronic content. And, the embodiment further involves initiating an upload of the new version of the electronic content through the browser's network connection to the source.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for assigning user interface widgets to page slots associated with a page pipeline. In response to a request to generate a content page, content placement requests are then received from user interface widgets. The page slots are associated with a placement value indicating a value of the page slot relative to other page slots in the page template and can be weighted based upon their location in a page pipeline. The highest ranked user interface widgets according to an effectiveness metric or placement score are scheduled for placement in the content page.

Abstract: The invention provides a display interface in a social networking system that enables the presentation of information related to a user in a timeline or map view. The system accesses information about a user of a social networking system, including both data about the user and social network activities related to the user. The system then selects one or more of these pieces of data and/or activities from a certain time period and gathers them into timeline units based on their relatedness and their relevance to users. These timeline units are ranked by relevance to the user, and are used to generate a timeline or map view for the user containing visual representations of the timeline units organized by location or time. The timeline or map view is then provided to other users of the social networking system that wish to view information about the user.

Abstract: In various embodiments, methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media are disclosed that allow users to specify runtime customizations of documents developed using a desktop integration framework. Workbook metadata is a set of information that describes how a given workbook is integrated with a particular web application. When a workbook is being published, metadata may be written into a local cache in the published workbook as well as a workbook definition file. Metadata management may be handed by a metadata service allowing updates and customization of published workbooks independently of a local cache in the published workbook and the workbook definition file. A workbook composer enables users to customize the metadata and store the customizations using the metadata manager.

Abstract: Methods and systems for passively relating data to metadata are disclosed. Associations are created, at a first computer system, that relate data in a first database to metadata in a second database. The associations are syndicated at the computer system to a first software application associated with the data. The syndicating to cause the first software application executing at a second computer system to display a visual clue to a user in a graphical interface associated with the first software application wherein the visual clue is visually associated with a visual representation of the data. Upon detecting a user interaction with the visual clue, cause the first software application to display a first portion of the metadata in the graphical interface.

Abstract: A system, computer-implemented method and computer-readable medium for displaying content are provided. In an embodiment, content for display within a tiled interface and a screen size for display of the tiled interface are determined. Grid segments of the tiled interface are determined based on the content and the screen size. The grid segments are grouped into tiles of the tiled interface based on a relative importance of the articles. The content is displayed on the tiled interface within the tiles of the tiled interface.

Abstract: Systems and methods for incorporating additional material in video content are described. Exemplary methods may include identifying the individual frames within a portion of video content that will be visible during adjusted playback. The methods may include incorporating at least one item of information within at least one of the individual frames identified to produce modified video content. The methods may also include transmitting the modified video content for display.

Abstract: A user can navigate through a graphical user interface (GUI) displayed on a display of a computing device using a fingertip or other feature of a hand not holding the device. The interface can be scrolled, zoomed, or otherwise manipulated corresponding to the movement of the fingertip. The user can select a graphical object of the GUI using a thumb or other feature of the hand holding the device, enabling a precise navigation and selection process. Different detection techniques can be used, such as to capture and analyze images to determine the location of the navigation feature and to use capacitive touch sensing elements to detect the selection actions. In some embodiments, a user can perform an attachment action to cause a three-dimensional rendering of an element of the GUI to be adjusted based at least in part upon the position of a fingertip or other feature of the user.
