  • Patent number: 4899907
Abstract: A device is provided for automatically dispensing terminals for electric cables into the receptacle of a reception part. The device includes a tubular body containing the terminals, means for causing a relative movement of the body and of the reception part, and resilient grippers mounted on the body and resiliently urged so as to close a lower orifice of the body and thus retain the terminals. An abutment is provided integral with the reception part for causing the grippers to open when the body and the reception part are brought into contact.

  • Patent number: 4887807
Abstract: The invention relates to the sidestop (20) guides, in the separating device (10), in particular a device for feeding a franking machine, the respective pile (11) of letters to be franked, irrespective of their particular format, by the front part of their longitudinal edge. The stop (20) comprises a support (25) with two stop surfaces (21, 22) arranged at right angles. The support can turn through 90.degree. around a pin (29) in a counter-clockwise direction. Small envelopes are guided by one of the stop surfaces (21); larger ones are guided by the other stop surfaces (22) when the support (25) is rotated. The stop (20) can be moved perpendicularly to the direction of movement of the envelope and turned to a third working position in which it forms an additional stop surface for envelopes of very large dimensions.

  • Patent number: 4865178
Abstract: A vending machine for dispensing single copies of newspapers or the like by the operation of a pull and push handle that is linked to a plate carrying needles that draw one copy of a newspaper outwardly from a tray through a dispensing door. The newspapers are carried on a spring biased tray that advances newspapers upwardly. The tray is controlled by a brake lock mechanism that allows the tray to be moved upward to a sufficient distance relative to the dispensing door so that only a single copy is drawn outwardly and wherein the brake lock locks the tray at the same respective vertical location for the next paper to be dispensed. A safety ratchet mechanism is arranged with a cable pulley system that is driven by a tension spring arrangement whereby the delivery person may load incremental amounts of newspapers on the tray and safely advance the tray downwardly against the spring loading.

  • Patent number: 4850512
Abstract: A holder and dispenser for knife blades which includes a sliding partition biased toward a discharge opening by rubber bands in a double loop configuration. The double looped configuration orients the rubber bands which loop around the back of the holder, and loop adjacent the front of the holder and loop around the back of the sliding partition. The rubber bands are oriented in slots or grooves in the holder and dispenser for protection. The sliding partition bias blades held in the holder toward a discharge slot through which blades are slid laterally.

  • Patent number: 4848597
Abstract: Granular cattle feed is normally dispensed manually using pails, sacks or open trucks, or from hoppers. Such methods are usually labor intensive, time consuming and wasteful of feed. A solution to the problem involves a large cylindrical drum having a diameter similar to a round bale, with a plurality of cleats extending across the cylindrical end of the drum between the circular sides thereof for causing the drum to rotate when in contact with the ground, and a large dispensing opening between an adjacent pair of cleats for dispensing elongated piles of feed at spaced apart locations along the path of travel of the drum. The device can be pivotally mounted on the rear end of a truck for movement between an elevated, transport position and a ground engaging, use position.
