  • Patent number: 11399364
Abstract: A method for semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) and an apparatus therefor are provided. The method includes monitoring downlink control information (DCI) in a first format group, and activating SPS according to an indication in the DCI in the first format group, and monitoring DCI in a second format group, and releasing SPS according to an indication in the DCI in the second format group, wherein, the payload size of the DCI format in the second format group is less than the payload size of the DCI format in the first format group. The payload size of the scheduled DCI format after the SPS is activated is less than the payload size of the scheduled DCI format activated by the SPS, which significantly promotes efficiency of utilization of resource(s) and reduces power consumption of user equipment for monitoring and detecting DCI, schedule overhead of downlink channel of SPS, and service delay.

  • Patent number: 11356381
Abstract: A method for managing several queues of a network interface card (NIC) of a computer. The method initially configures the NIC to direct data messages received for a data compute node (DCN) executing on the computer to a default first NIC queue. When the DCN requests data messages addressed to the particular DCN to be processed with a first feature for load balancing data messages across multiple queues and a second feature for aggregating multiple related data messages into a single data message, the method configures the NIC to direct subsequent data messages received for the DCN to a second queue in a first subset of queues associated with the first feature if a load on the default first queue exceeds a first threshold. Otherwise, if a load on the first subset of queues exceeds a second threshold, the method configures the NIC to direct subsequent data messages received for the particular DCN to a third queue in a second subset of queues associated with both the first and second features.

The devices include a processing circuit, a PRP handler, a protocol stack, a memory, permanent storage accessible by the processing circuit, and transmit and receive circuitry for transmitting and receiving packets. A redundancy manager is for identifying path faults in the network. The processing circuit implements a method of detecting network path fault, including the other electronic device transmitting a frame pair over the first lane and second lane. The electronic device receives the frame pair and implements a receive processing flow, when the first frame or the second frame is identified to be a redundant frame, removes the redundant frame, and compares a first frame parameter to a second frame parameter to determine when the path fault is present.

  • Patent number: 11184851
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for reducing power consumption on a power sensitive wireless device, such as for example a digital wireless camera operating on a battery. According to some techniques, power can be reduced when a portable device is in close proximity to the power sensitive wireless device, such as when a person is home and the recording of video on a digital wireless security camera can be disarmed. Some techniques include filtering mechanisms, which reduce unnecessary information being transmitted to the wireless network circuit of the power sensitive wireless device. Other techniques include modifying or adapting IEEE 802.11 standards to achieve power reducing results such as for example reducing the number of times to wake up to receive the beacons. Also, improved synchronization techniques are implemented such as for example improved synchronization accuracy allows reducing the duration of the wake time for receiving the beacons.
