Abstract: A transparent plastic container which is transparent, allows good design and can be used for an anticounterfeit system that determines authenticity by visual check with the use of polarization property. A transparent plastic sheet of a polystyrene-based resin having a total light transmission of 85% or higher and a haze of 7% or less is subjected to vacuum, pneumatic or vacuum/pneumatic forming at a sheet temperature ranging from a glass transition temperature plus 50 degrees C. to a glass transition temperature plus 130 degrees C., thereby obtaining a transparent plastic container having a planar portion with a strain amount of 150 nm or less.
Abstract: A multilayer hose cover for a hose, such as a high-pressure hose, is disclosed. In some embodiments, the hose cover comprises at least three layers that are interwoven together using weft yarn. In these embodiments, the hose cover includes an outer sheath, a middle sheath, and an inner sheath interwoven together by weft yarn in such a way that the layers reinforce one another and are configured to contain the energy associated with a hose burst.
Abstract: A housing (100, 300, 600, 700) for storing and protecting items comprises a photoreactive material (106) that selectively and irreversibly changes colors upon exposure to activating radiation (124, 324); and an ultraviolet attenuation coating (102, 702) disposed over the photoreactive material (106). Radiation (124, 324) is selectively applied to the photoreactive material (106) to irreversibly change the color of the photoreactive material (106) and therefore the housing (100, 300, 600, 700). An optional patterned layer (332) may be disposed between the photoreactive material (106) and the selective application of radiation (124, 324), and a background color (108) may be included, to affect the visual presentation of the housing (100, 300, 600, 700).

Abstract: A hose cover for a high pressure hose is disclosed. The hose cover includes an outer sheath and an inner sheath disposed within the outer sheath. The inner and outer sheaths have a woven construction, each have a plurality of warp threads, and a weft thread that is interwoven between the warp threads. The weft thread is woven between the warp threads of the inner and outer sheaths in a pattern such that weft thread is shared between the inner and outer sheath and the inner and outer sheaths are interwoven together.
