  • Patent number: 11232225
Abstract: Embodiments relate to processing a request from a user device for access rights for a resource. An access management system can send a request to query a (e.g., cached or authoritative) data store for available access rights. The query may include an exact-match or fuzzy query. A set of access-right results responsive to the query can be identified. The system may transmit a communication to the user device that identifies the set, or a subset thereof. Upon receiving a selection of a result, the system can facilitate assigning access rights corresponding to the identified result to the user. In some instances, a level of precision at which a characteristic of an access-right result is identified and/or whether or how access rights are held depends on a request load.

  • Patent number: 11232127
Abstract: Technologies for providing dynamic persistence of data in edge computing include a device including circuitry configured to determine multiple different logical domains of data storage resources for use in storing data from a client compute device at an edge of a network. Each logical domain has a different set of characteristics. The circuitry is also to configured to receive, from the client compute device, a request to persist data. The request includes a target persistence objective indicative of an objective to be satisfied in the storage of the data. Additionally, the circuitry is configured to select, as a function of the characteristics of the logical domains and the target persistence objective, a logical domain into which to persist the data and provide the data to the selected logical domain.

  • Patent number: 11210310
Abstract: There is disclosed a method for rendering search results on a map displayable on an electronic device, the search results being responsive to a geo-search query associated with the map, the electronic device connectable to a map server via a communication network. The method is executable by the electronic device. The method includes maintaining POI label rendering rules, which prescribe rendering rules for processing POI labels associated with POIs that form part of the ranked set of search results. When the electronic device processes additional sets of ranked search results, the method comprises generating a POI label density ratio, which is used to modify the rendering rules used for rendering newly received (i.e. not previously rendered) POI labels. The processing rules can be defined for each zoom level of the map viewport. The method further includes executing collision verification routine to further modify the POI label rendering rules.

  • Patent number: 11172071
Abstract: A computing system of an organization receives data through multiple channels of communication; a programmatic interface for each of the different channel infrastructures may be called to convert data about a user's contact with the system. Contact records for contain data such as a user ID and a channel identifier. An operational database may receive the converted contact records from the devices or software. A transaction application may perform various tasks resulting in the generation of transaction data. A transaction record containing the transaction data may be generated in a message queue or operational database. The interface for the communication channel may convert the transaction data in a message queue, after the transaction data is detected by a listening application that monitors the message queue and logs new transaction data to the operational database.

  • Patent number: 11113304
Abstract: Text is extracted from and information resource such as documents, emails, relational database tables and other digitized information sources. The extracted text is processed using a decomposition function to create. Nodes are a particular data structure that stores elemental units of information. The nodes can convey meaning because they relate a subject term or phrase to an attribute term or phrase. Removed from the node data structure, the node contents are or can become a text fragment which conveys meaning, i.e., a note. The notes generated from each digital resource are associated with the digital resource from which they are captured. The notes are then stored, organized and presented in several ways which facilitate knowledge acquisition and utilization by a user.

  • Patent number: 11074271
Abstract: A database management system (DBMS) performs, in response to a conversion request to convert a store format of a table in a database, a process (base type change process) for changing a store format indicated by information (base type) indicating the store format of the table to a store format according to the conversion request, and performs a data conversion process asynchronously with the aforementioned process. In an import process after the base type change process, the DBMS imports, into the table, a chunk in the store format indicated by the base type after change. In the data conversion process, the DBMS converts a chunk in a store format different from the store format indicated by the base type into a chunk in the store format indicated by the base type.

  • Patent number: 11074235
Abstract: A method and an inclusion dependency determination system (IDDS) for determining inclusion dependency between columns of tables in a target database to establish primary key (PK)-foreign key (FK) relationships among data in the columns with minimized disk input and output operations are provided. The IDDS determines dependency characteristic data (DCD) of each column and arranges the columns by applying one or more predefined rules to the columns based on a minimum value of the data of each column. The IDDS determines pairs of arranged columns that demonstrate a possibility of inclusion dependency based on the DCD and identifies a first column and a second column of each determined pair as a candidate PK and a candidate FK respectively. The IDDS determines inclusion dependency between the candidate PK and the candidate FK on comparing data of the candidate PK with the data of the candidate FK using dynamically determined search techniques.

  • Patent number: 11068468
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product for validating a structured data object. A computer system identifies rules for validating interrelationships among data nodes. The data nodes are composable into structured data objects according to a domain specific language. The validation rules are topologically sorted according to dependency relationships declared therein. The computer system receives the structured data object, which consists of interrelated data nodes. The structured data object is traversed according to a traversal algorithm that tracks dependency relationships. Each data node is inserted into a queue according to the traversal algorithm. For each data node in the queue, a subset of the validation rules is identified. The subset is run within a context of the structured data object. Rule failure for the data node are recorded, and a failure report is generated that indicates failure results for each data node.
