Abstract: Method and systems are disclosed for distribution of candidate information to a recruiter list. An example apparatus includes a candidate manager to retrieve, via a processor, a first keyword provided by a candidate during a session of the candidate on an employment website. The apparatus includes a recruiter-candidate comparator to query, in real time during the session, a database including bids for candidates. The recruiter-candidate comparator is to retrieve, in response to identifying that at least one of the bids for candidates includes the first keyword, one or more of the bids for candidates from the database that include the first keyword and determine a recruiter list to include at least one recruiter of the one or more bids for candidates that include the first keyword. The apparatus includes a recruiter manager to distribute, in real time during the session, candidate information of the candidate to the recruiter list.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for searching job postings for a member of a social network based on transitions from educational institutions to companies. A method includes determining educational-company transition scores indicating a transition probability from educational institution to company. The method identifies jobs based on a search performed for a first member, with a profile including one or more educational institutions, each job associated with a respective company. A server determines a member-company transition score based on the educational-company transition scores of the educational institutions in the profile. For each job, a job affinity score is determined based on data of the job and the profile of the first member. The server ranks the jobs based on the member-company transition score of the company of the job and the job affinity score. Some of the ranked jobs are presented to the first member based on the ranking.

Abstract: Systems and methods allow customers to verify the authenticity or provenance of physical objects before purchasing or obtaining the physical objects. The methods involve scanning a code of or a pattern embedded or incorporated in a physical object in transit or upon creation, transmitting the scanned code and information of the physical object through the Internet, generating or updating a block based on the scanned code and the information, verifying or authenticating the block, and storing the block as an immutable part of a distributed ledger. The code or pattern is a unique identifier of the physical object. The methods may include capturing an image of the physical object (e.g., an identification card, document, or passport) or an object associated with the physical object to be used for secondary verification and generating or updating the block so as to include the obtained image in the block of the blockchain.

Abstract: A machine may be configured to generate recruitment leads based on targeted content. For example, the machine causes a presentation of an item of digital media in a user interface of a first device associated with a member of a social networking service. The member may be targeted for the presentation of the item of digital media. The machine, based on the presentation of the item to the member, accesses an event message pertaining to an interaction by the member with the item of digital media. The machine, based on the event message, identifies an indication of interest by the member in a content of the item. The machine generates a communication pertaining to the interest by the member in the content of the item. The machine transmits the communication to a second device associated with a recruiter.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and system that allow a first person to create a virtual persona of another person in an open overlay service. The virtual persona is virtual in that it makes it appear that the person is a subscriber of the open overlay service even if that person does not have a real account with the open overlay service. The real person may or may not have their own account on the open overlay service. The virtual persona allows its creator to easily follow the activities, such as blog updates, RSS feeds, etc., on online services of the other person without having to establish accounts at these services or visit these services regularly checking for updates. The virtual persona also serves as a template for a pre-configured account that may be issued to the real person. For example, after establishing the virtual persona, the creator may send an invitation to the real person being emulated.

Abstract: The present invention describes a community based computerized method and system which automatically gathers, acquires and collects students' usage data in a dynamic knowledge base as they perform their routine learning assignments from any educational source (e.g. printed textbooks, e-textbook etc.), for the purpose of assessing their achievements, competencies, areas of interest, preferences and requirements, and then providing automatically generated students-related information and services which are based on this knowledge, such as custom study guides, preparation plans for exams and academic skills assessment reports. The system also provides insights, trends and behavioral patterns within students' groups, which are identified and deduced from actual activities of users, such as learning habits, areas of interest, and demand for new and existing educational learning sources.

Abstract: An item rating and recommendation platform identifies rating data including respective ratings of multiple items with respect to multiple users; identifies user-feature data including user features contributing to the respective ratings of the multiple items with respect to the multiple users; and receives, from a social network platform via a secret sharing scheme without a trusted initializer, manipulated social network data computed based on social network data and a first number of random variables. The social network data indicate social relationships between any two of the number of users. In the secret sharing scheme without the trust initializer, the social network platform shares with the item rating and recommendation platform manipulated social network data without disclosing the social network data. The item rating and recommendation platform updates the user-feature data based on the rating data and the manipulated social network data.

Abstract: A system and method for tracking compliance of a company against a regulatory requirement. The system includes a database, an administrative module, a user entry module, a database access module, a question module, an evaluation module and a report module. The database contains records relating to the company, question information relating to the requirement, answer information and user information. The administrative module provides the company's administrative data to the database. The user entry module provides the user data to the database. The database access module determines relevant questions for the user after accessing the database. The question module provides questions to the user, accepts answers to the questions and stores the answers in the database. The evaluation module evaluates compliance by the company to the requirement after it evaluates records in the database. The report module generates a report of regulatory compliance of the company.

Abstract: Implementing compliance management includes displaying a checklist of inspection items on a display of a mobile communications device at an inspection site of an entity. Each of the inspection items is mapped to a corresponding compliance code governing environmental regulatory requirements for operation and maintenance of the entity. The compliance management also includes receiving a user response indicative of an inspection condition for each of the inspection items. The user response is implemented via an input control on the mobile communications device. The compliance management further includes transmitting user responses over a network to a centralized database system. The centralized database system provides web-based access of the user responses to the entity over the network.

Abstract: A system may include a profile module and a network interface module. The profile module may be configured to generate a first profile of a user of a social network based, at least in part, on first characteristics related to the user and a second profile of the user based, at least in part, on second characteristics related to the user, at least one of the first plurality of characteristics being the same as at least one of the second characteristics and at least one of the first characteristics being different from at least one of the second characteristics. The network interface module may be configured to transmit the first profile to a device of a third party based on the third party meeting a first criterion and the second profile to a device of the third party based on the third party meeting a second criterion.

Abstract: A system and method receiving, from a first client device associated with a first user of a collaboration platform, a first request to establish friendship with other users of the collaboration platform that are in physical proximity with the first user. The method includes determining, by a processing device, whether a second user of the collaboration platform is in the physical proximity of the first user by comparing a first indicator of physical proximity associated with the first user with a second indicator of physical proximity associated with the second user. The method also includes responsive to determining the second user of the collaboration platform is in the physical proximity of the first user based on the comparison, sending to the first user an invitation to request a friendship with the second user.

Abstract: A method and apparatus to perform actions in public safety incidents based on actions performed in prior incidents are disclosed. An example method includes receiving a first set of incident information associated with the public safety incident, receiving a second set of responder information associated with at least one public safety personnel, correlating, by using a public safety recommendation engine, the first set of incident information and the second set of responder information with one or more other sets of public safety incident information and responder information associated with prior incidents, identifying, by the public safety recommendation engine, at least one correlated mobile device action from mobile device actions associated with a subset of prior public safety incidents, and causing the correlated mobile device action to be at least one of presented as a recommendation on the corresponding mobile device and performed by the corresponding mobile device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an automated process and associated computerized system and method implemented over an automated system for generating Job Reports for different job offers of employers, where the new process and associated system allows an employer to customize template Job Reports with one or more of different fields using a cloud-based Application Programming Interface (API). The system further includes a fully integrated system to interface with an employer's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) designed to help employers track multiple new features associated with the customized Job Reports generated and make alterations that do not require production time.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that facilitates electronic communication among users. During operation, the system obtains financial data as a set of financial transactions. Upon receiving a request to transmit a message, the system obtains one or more recipient attributes from the request. Next, the system uses the financial transactions to identify a set of recipients that matches the one or more recipient attributes. The system then transmits the message to the set of recipients without revealing the PII for the set of recipients to a creator of the message.

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, machine readable mediums, and systems for providing a list of skills a member should learn in order to achieve a particular goal. The system may provide a user interface to the member of the social networking service. Through the user interface, the member may select one or more goals that they wish to achieve. Based upon these goals, the list of skills associated with that goal may be determined—this list is a goal set of skills. The goal set of skills may be compared to the member's current skills. Skills in the list of goal skills that the member does not already possess may be recommended to the member.

Abstract: A user can perform in an activity which can be identified and/or tracked by a device associated with the user, such as a mobile communication device. Data can be identified and collected before, during and after the activity. A message can be defined based on the activity and the data, and presented to the user on the device. The user can alter or approve the message such that a form of the message is sent to a compute device, such as a social media network.

Abstract: Techniques involving accessing a resume of a person; automatically parsing the resume at least in part by: identifying, based at least in part on formatting of the resume, a plurality of sections in the resume including a first section; identifying, based at least in part on content in the first section and formatting of the content, a plurality of subsections of the first section; and processing text in the plurality of subsections to identify a plurality of credentials and associated attributes; and updating a profile for the person to reflect the plurality of credentials and the associated attributes.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of providing a link to a portion of a media object (e.g., video, audio, etc.) in real time in a social networking update. For example, a user in a social networking system may generate a social networking update that references a media object while the user is consuming the media object. A determination may be made that the user is consuming the media object and that the user generates the social networking update while the user is consuming the media object. A link is inserted in the social networking update that references a portion of the media object that corresponds to a time instance at which the user generates the social networking update. For instance, the link may be automatically inserted in the social networking update.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes accessing social media data, wherein the social media data is associated with one or more profiles and corresponds to a venue. The computer-implemented method further includes determining sentiment information corresponding to each of the one or more profiles based on the social media data. The computer-implemented method further includes, for each of the one or more profiles: identifying a path through the venue, wherein the path represents at least one movement associated with the profile and associating the sentiment information with the path through the venue. The computer-implemented method further includes, responsive to associating the sentiment information with the path through the venue for each of the one or more profiles, identifying one or more trends. The computer-implemented method further includes presenting the one or more trends for review. A corresponding computer system and computer program product are also disclosed.
