Abstract: There is provided a content supplying device that supplies streaming data of content in accordance with MPEG-DASH, the content supplying device including: an HTTP transmission unit configured to convert each segment of the streaming data into a file and to unicast the resulting segment files via HTTP; an RTP transmission unit configured to multicast and/or broadcast the segment files via RTP; and a metafile generation unit configured to generate a metafile describing a chronological correspondence relation between the segment files to be unicasted via HTTP and the segment files to be multicasted and/or broadcasted via RTP, and to supply the metafile to a receiver.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to personalized options for consumption of content assets. In one aspect, the personalized options can be supplied (e.g., transmitted) asynchronously and can be indicative of information associated with a media asset of likely interest to an end user. In another aspect, the personalized options can permit administration of the content assets, such as automated generation of storage configuration(s) and/or playback configuration(s), based at least on consumption behavior of an end-user.

Abstract: A network adapter includes one or more ports and circuitry. The ports are configured to connect to a switch in a communication network. The circuitry is coupled to a network node that includes multiple hosts, and is configured to exchange management packets between a control server and multiple BMC units associated respectively with the multiple hosts, and to exchange, over the communication network via the one or more ports, data packets between the hosts and one or more remote nodes.

Abstract: Embodiments communicate messages between mobile devices and destination devices. An exemplary embodiment includes a first border server operable to establish a first communication connection to the mobile device over a first network operating under a first protocol, a second border server operable to establish a second communication connection to the mobile device over a second network operating under a second protocol, and a transport management server communicatively coupled to the first border server and the second border server, and operable to establish a third communication connection to the destination device over a third network operating under a third protocol. The first protocol is configured to communicate a first encapsulated portion of the message. The second protocol is configured to communicate a second encapsulated portion of the message. The third protocol is configured to communicate the first encapsulated portion of the message and the second encapsulated portion of the message.

Abstract: This document describes a content caching system for pre-loading digital components, the system including a communication interface configured to communicate with a remote device over a wireless network, a local content cache; and an evaluation system comprising one or more processors. The one or more operations include pre-loading a digital component for rendering in a browser at a time that is subsequent to a time of the pre-loading, registering a scheme of a network reference for the cached digital component, with the scheme comprising a specified portion of the network reference for the cached digital component; retrieving, from the local content cache, the pre-loaded digital component associated with the digital component tag comprising the network reference; and rendering, from the local content cache, the pre-loaded digital component in a graphical user interface rather than requesting the digital component from the remote device.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for generating a proxy email address for routing messages are presented. An email directed to a user with a proxy email address assigned by the system and with no registered email address is received at a proxy email address. Whether or not the email contains an action message identifier is ascertained. Based on the email containing an action message identifier, a forward email is identified. Text content from the forward email is extracted. A short message based on the extracted text content is generated. At least one communication channel to send the short message is selected based on an engagement level associated with the at least one communication channel. The short message may be caused to be presented at a mobile device associated with the user via the selected communication channel.

Abstract: Digital streaming to loss intolerant clients is described. In one example, a system includes a repair module to repair an error in the stream of digital content having a plurality of packets configured according to a loss tolerant format. The system also includes a segment formation module to form the plurality of packets into a plurality of segments in a media presentation and a manifest module to configure a manifest file mapping time periods to respective segments of the plurality of segments within the media presentation. The system further includes a streaming server to provide the manifest file to a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) streaming client and form a response to the HTTP streaming client including at least one of the plurality of segments as requested by the HTTP streaming client based on the manifest file.

Abstract: A flight management system may include a processor, a memory, a network communication interface, and a flexible data interface stored in the memory and executable by the processor. The flexible data interface is typically configured for providing an abstract data interface layer; retrieving, via the abstract data interface layer, data stored in the memory of the flight management system; and transmitting, via the network communication device, the data to a peripheral device in network communication with the flight management system.

Abstract: In response to receiving a request from a user to initiate a new resource pool, a determination of a purpose of the new resource pool is made. The system identifies suggested resource allocations for the new resource pool, as well as suggested modifications for current resource pools of a user, and presents both to the user. The suggested resource allocations are determined based on the purpose of the new resource pool and user data associated with the user or other users. The user selects suggested resource allocations for the new resource pool and current resource pools. The processing systems initiate the selected resource allocation and/or the suggested modifications selected by the user at the time of initiating the new resource pool, and thus reduces the processing requirements for processing resource allocations since the allocations occur at the initiation of the new resource pool.

Abstract: Autonomous host deployment may be implemented in managed deployment environments in order to deploy resources at resource host(s) when a deployment authority is unavailable. Upon startup of a resource host, a determination may be made as to whether a remote deployment state authority is available. If the deployment state authority is unavailable, a deployment state for a resource host and/or resources hosted at a resource host may be identified. Different resources at a resource host and the resource host itself may have different deployment states identified. In some embodiments, deployment state information may be locally maintained and accessed to determine the deployment state. The resource host may perform operations to deploy the resource host and/or resources according to the identified deployment state.

Abstract: Systems and methods may include deploying a probe within a unified infrastructure management (“UIM”) system. The systems and methods may include discovering, via the probe, hubs within the UIM system. Each hub may pass UIM traffic. The systems and methods may include establishing, for each hub, a queue on the hub. The queue may log quality of service (“QoS”) messages that pass through the hub. The systems and methods may include filtering, by the probe, each QoS message. The filtering of each QoS message may be filtering by a filter criteria. The filter criteria may specify an originating system at which the QoS message was originated. Additionally or alternatively, the filter criteria may specify a characteristic of a generating probe that generated the QoS message. The systems and methods may include providing information regarding each of the filtered QoS messages to a monitoring server.

Abstract: A system for brand management using social networks comprising an application server, social network crawler software modules, third party service integration software modules, an analytics server, a report generator, a search engine, a behavioral analysis engine, a recommendation engine, and a database. A user registers and provides data pertaining to a brand. Upon retrieving content from a plurality of social networks pertaining to the brand, the analytics server module analyzes the content to a content value specific to the brand among members of the social networks. The behavioral analysis engine obtains content elements generated by a first member a social network and analyzes the first member's behavior to compute an audience value of the first member. The report generator prepares reports specific to the brand, the reports comprising at least indicia of content value, indicia of audience value, and recommendations for improving member engagement with the brand.

Abstract: A method and system for testing multiple language versions of a browser-based application. A host language Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) request issued by a host language browser is received. The host language HTTP request is configured to be sent to a host server address. The host language HTTP request comprises parameter strings in a host language. A target language HTTP request is generated by replacing each host parameter string of at least one host parameter string of the parameter strings in the received HTTP request with a respective target parameter string associated with a target language that differs from the host language. The generated target language HTTP request is configured to be sent to a target server address associated with and different from the host server address.

Abstract: Examples perform monitoring of multiple-step, concurrently executed workflows across distributed nodes. Requests from an intermediate node are classified by a load balancer as monitoring or non-monitoring. Non-monitoring requests are handled by any node; however, monitoring requests are distributed to all nodes via a plurality of queues but handled only by nodes executing the subject workflow. The load balancer receives reports from any node executing the subject workflow, and passes the first report to the intermediate node.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a learning machine may be used to select observer nodes in a LLN such that the liveness of one or more nodes of interest may be monitored indirectly. In particular, a management device may receive network data on one or more network traffic parameters of a computer network. The management device may then determine, based on the network data, a candidate list of potential observer nodes to monitor activity or inactivity of one or more subject nodes. The management device may then dynamically select, using a machine learning model, a set of optimized observer nodes from the candidate list of potential observer nodes.

Abstract: A system and method for performing remote resource allocation analyses on distributed computer systems utilizes a snapshot of a target distributed computer system obtained at a distributed computer system, which is transmitted to a remote resource allocation module so that a remote resource allocation analysis can be performed on the snapshot of the target distributed computer system. The snapshot includes configurations and resource usage information of at least some components of the target distributed computer system.

Abstract: For applications that are designed to operate across multiple computer environments, an application distribution service may store multiple different versions of application packages, the different versions being applicable to different computing environments. Application targeted metadata associated with the application packages may be utilized to quickly diagnose the applicability of the application packages to a client device with low bandwidth cost, and before any package distribution is commenced.

Abstract: A system and method for enhancing video communication among two or more users is provided. According to an aspect, a method is provided. The method comprises receiving user input of a subject, wherein the user input was captured by a user interface, and determining an interpretation of the captured user input of the subject. The method further comprises determining one or more commands for moving an avatar of the subject based on the interpretation and using the one or more commands for controlling movement of the avatar presented via a computing device.

Abstract: Synchronous content sharing of media assets via an object data model propagated through a star network or a mesh network. Each user device updates a local object data model including information on the status of the media asset delivery, to achieve synchronization with the source data. Updates to the local object data model may be the result of direct connection between a user device and an application server via a network, or the result of indirect connections through peers in mesh networks, where the local object data model is shared through hops between peers in the mesh network if the direct connection is unavailable.
