  • Patent number: 9600245
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for generating control unit program code. The control unit program code or an intermediate representation in the generation of the control unit program code is generated from at least one first data object with at least one first software tool. The first software tool outputs at least one message about the generation process during the generation of the control unit program code or the intermediate representation, and a computer-implemented message management environment acquires the message output by the software tool. The evaluation of the messages output by the software tools during the generation process is achieved in a more effective manner in that a qualification for the acquired message at least as open or approved is acquired by the message management environment and in that a qualification precondition for a message qualified as approved is also acquired by the message management environment.

  • Patent number: 9582263
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to scheduling updates on a personal electronic device based on biometric data gathered from a user. The personal electronic device, or another computing device, may receive a pending software update. The personal electronic device, or another computing device, may receive biometric data of the user from one or more biometric sensors. The biometric data may provide sufficient information to determine a sleep status of the user. The personal electronic device, or another computing device, may determine a sleep status of the user. The personal electronic device, or another computing device, may install the pending software update in response to determining that the user is sleeping. The personal electronic device, or another computing device, may delay the pending software update in response to determining that the user is not sleeping.

  • Patent number: 9582250
Abstract: Fusion hints can be generated in order to recommend streams application actors (like streams operators) for fusion or separation in a streams computing environment. Profiles can be made for the streams application actors, and fusion candidates can be determined from the profiles, based on fusion candidate rules. Based on the fusion candidate rule satisfied, a particular associated fusion recommendation can be identified and made to the user via a user interface. The recommendation can be displayed, along with the identities of the streams application actors identified as fusion candidates.

  • Patent number: 9582294
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and computer program products are provided for automatically internationalizing grammatical output for presentation to a user of a program based on the user's locale. In particular, AST transformations are described that cause a compiler to generate a programming method during compilation of a portion of source code containing a predefined token, where the programming method is incorporated (by the compiler) into a file produced by the compiler and serves to call an instance of a message bundle file that provides translation of grammatical output without requiring the programmer/developer to manually incorporate individual message bundles into each portion of source code to be internationalized.

  • Patent number: 9507567
Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure provides a server system which facilitates use of techniques implemented by external library functions in the process definitions of analytical applications. In an embodiment, a definitions block enables users to develop process definitions as basis for corresponding user applications, with each process definition incorporating a corresponding set of techniques. The definitions block requires metadata corresponding to each technique to be present in registration data prior to permitting incorporation of the technique in process definitions. Accordingly an importation block is provided which facilitates a user to register an external technique implemented by a function of an external library to cause meta data corresponding to the external technique to be added to said registration data. As a result, the external technique can thereafter be used in development of new process definitions.

  • Patent number: 9507574
Abstract: Expressions are selectively retrieved from memory during compilation by scanning code for expressions that can be effectively accessed directly from highly cached memory without needing to be loaded into a register, e.g., expressions that are not modified by the rest of the code. The scanning may include examining the use of the expression. Those expressions may be retrieved directly from the highly cached memory rather than being loaded into registers. This reduces compilation time.

  • Patent number: 9507582
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards managing application delivery over a network. Change information that corresponds to changes to an application may be provided to a delivery pipeline. The change information may be verified in part based on a static analysis of the content of the change information, compiling, and unit testing. Reviewers may be notified to approve the change information. A version of the application that includes the change information may be generated. Acceptance testing may be performed that includes provisioning computing resources in an acceptance computing environment. And, deploying a version of application that includes the change information into the acceptance computing environment. If the acceptance testing passes, a shipping operation may be enabled pausing the delivery pipeline until an authorized user activates the shipping operation restarting the delivery pipeline and deploying the application to one or more computing environments.

  • Patent number: 9495182
Abstract: A method and architecture of reconfiguring software mode management for a system. A prior status mode of a subsystem is identified. The primary controller includes a primary software algorithm for maintaining operations of the subsystem. A mode determination logic function is retrieved in a table for determining whether a mode change occurred. The mode determination logic function associated with the prior mode is executed. A current mode is determined from the table based on results from the execution of the mode determination logic function. An action list associated with the identified current mode in the table is identified. The action list identifies functions for transitioning the nodes from the prior mode to the current node. An action list associated with the current mode including a list of action functions for transitioning the previous mode to the current mode is executed. The table is independently modifiable from the primary software mode management algorithm.

  • Patent number: 9489181
Abstract: System and method for performing correlation analysis. A program that includes multiple program structures and one or more data objects is stored. Each data object is shared by at least two of the program structures. For each program structure, decomposition effects on each of the data objects shared by the program structure resulting from each of a respective one or more optimizing transforms applied to the program structure are analyzed. One or more groups of correlated structures are determined based on the analyzing. Each group includes two or more program structures that share at least one data object, and at least one optimizing transform that is compatible with respect to the two or more program structures and the shared data object. For at least one group, the at least one optimizing transform is usable to transform the two or more program structures to meet a specified optimization objective.
