  • Patent number: 8673066
Abstract: In a porous filter, dust that has been collected from a gas through a filter group installed in a vessel body onto filter surfaces is removed from the filter surfaces by backwashing in which the supply and stoppage of a high-pressure gas ejected toward porous filter elements are repeated by means of a valve operation. Backwash tanks having upstream backwash valves and downstream backwash valves are installed in backwash pipes through which the high-pressure gas is guided from high-pressure-gas supply equipment to backwash nozzles for ejecting the backwash high-pressure gas toward the filter group to form a backwash high-pressure-medium supply line. The outlet pressure of the high-pressure-gas supply equipment is set to “1/critical pressure ratio” or more times a filter inlet gas pressure so that the flow speed of the high-pressure gas ejected from the backwash nozzle is the speed of sound or higher.

  • Patent number: 8640881
Abstract: The invention relates to a screen changer in a system that processes flowable plastic. The screen changer includes an element, such as a portafilter, that is movable between two positions; two hydraulic pumps that effect position change of the screen changer; and a motor that operates both pumps. One pump provides greater flow volume and the other provides a lower flow volume, but with greater pressure. A non-return valve in the supply line to the hydraulic cylinder controls flow to the cylinder that moves the movable element between positions. The volume pump is used to move the movable element when resistance to movement of the screen is low and the high-pressure pump to move the element when resistance is high. The non-return valve selectively enables or interrupts flow from the pumps to the hydraulic cylinder. The screen changer allows use of a non-pressurized hydraulic fluid reservoir.

  • Patent number: 8641811
Abstract: This invention relates to an ecologically and environmentally friendly mud-gas containment system. Specifically, this invention relates to a mobile device that is capable of receiving waste gas and, in emergency situations, a volume of a mud-gas mixture from a drilling operation. The waste gas is communicated to a removable flare stack through a vent line. The mud-gas is received at a containment vessel. The impact of the mud-gas within the containment vessel separates the mud-gas into mud and waste gas. The mud is collected for recycling and/or environmentally sensitive disposal. The waste gas from the vessel is communicated to the flare stack. Separate removal ports and conduits are used to remove any residual mud or mud-gas from the vent line and/or containment vessel. Excess mud or mud-gas is communicated to an overflow catch tank for removal. The entire assembly is mounted on a mobile skid sized for highway transportation.

  • Patent number: 8568521
Abstract: Disclosed is an indoor unit having a dust storage container in which dust removed from an air filter is stored, and a dust collecting box into which the dust in the dust storage container is transferred by utilizing an effect of blown air. The dust storage container is provided with a full condition detection means for detecting a dust full condition of the dust collecting box. The full condition detection means includes an LED and a phototransistor which are opposed to each other with a storage portion interposed therebetween. After a dust transfer operation which transfers the dust from the dust storage container to the dust collecting box, an intensity of light of the LED that has passed through the storage portion is detected by the phototransistor. If the detected light intensity is equal to or less than a set value, a full condition of the dust collecting box is detected.
