  • Patent number: 7439991
Abstract: An image information presentation system, wherein when all image information is read from a material memory 101 and is reduced by a listing control means 105 to be listed on a display means 102, the image information read by the listing control means 105 is determined whether to be a still image or a moving image. If the image information is a moving image, thumbnails (reduced image) is driven in a listing state. Further, the image information presentation system, comprises a template listing section 72 for listing the templates and parts image information in the material memory 1 on the display means 4, a position specification means 5 for specifying the listed image information at a plural of positions on the display screen of the display means 4, and a presentation document preparation means 12 for storing all image information specified in a template constructed in relating decorative frame for storing image between a plural of pages and preparing a presentation document.

  • Patent number: 6657626
Abstract: A font controlling method and apparatus in a so-called on-screen display (OSD), in which, when displaying letters or the like of different languages, well-balanced high-quality display that is easy and comfortable to see is enabled without abbreviating a word or splitting one line into two lines. To this end, the font controlling apparatus includes an input signal discriminating unit 2, an OSD control micro-computer 3 and a character generator IC 5. The input signal discriminating unit 2 discriminates the sort of graphics display standard of an input signal. OSD control micro-computer 3 determines the sort of the font in use and size of the font based on a display language request signal from the user and the sort of graphics display standard of the input signal. The character generator IC 5 generates an OSD display signal responsive to the sort of the font determined by OSD control micro-computer 3 and the font size.

  • Patent number: 6380946
Abstract: The present invention is a method and apparatus for enhancing clipping a bit-packed glyph. A first clip value is determined if it is less than a first maximum value. If the first clip value exceeds the first maximum value, a second clip value and a third clip value are updated by a difference between the first clip value and the first maximum value, and the first clip value is replaced by the maximum value. Then, an address field value is updated by a predetermined address amount.

  • Patent number: 6275827
Abstract: A technique for processing data is disclosed. In one embodiment, the technique is realized by receiving a first representation of data at a processing device, which then processes the first representation of data so as to generate a second representation of data. The second representation of data includes a plurality of dependent data representations and a plurality of independent data representations. Each of the plurality of dependent data representations is substantially aligned in time with a corresponding one of the plurality of independent data representations.

  • Patent number: 6201551
Abstract: A method and apparatus for overloading operators in Page Description Language (PDL) defined graphics redefines the graphic, such as to compensate for certain undesirable line growth characteristics of a target printer or display device. Line width can be controlled based on various attributes, such as color, size, width, pattern or orientation. Line width can be redefined to be wider, narrower or of a differing color to achieve a desired printed graphic. Also, the method and apparatus can compensate for fill in of reverse-line and “cookie-cutter” holes. The method, performed within a decomposer, examines individual lines of a PDL defined graphic, determines if compensation is needed to achieve a desired printed output, and redefines an operator to achieve the compensation. The compensation can include addition of wider reverse (white) lines under colored lines to prevent the fill in.

  • Patent number: 6201549
Abstract: A method for drawing a paint stroke with a bitmap brush having pixels located at locations definable in a Cartesian coordinate system. The paint stroke is created by defining a path of a guide line, the path having an arc-length and the guide line having a thickness, and scaling the bitmap brush as a function of the arc-length of the path and the thickness of the guide line. The bitmap brush is then transformed such that the x-axis of the bitmap brush generally aligns with the path and the y-axis of the bitmap brush generally aligns with an instantaneous normal to the path such that the bitmap brush is warped to the guide line.

  • Patent number: 6166716
Abstract: A picture to be printed is prepared by DTP software and is stored into layer L0 of the file F which is distributed to respective correctors. The first corrector writes correcting indication K1 onto layer L1, the second corrector writes correcting indication K2 onto the layer L2 and the third corrector writes correcting indication K3 onto the layer L3. For the respective layers, respective passwords are to be set for ensuring securities. In order to display or to edit a specific layer, it is required to input a proper password. Layer information ranging over plural files can be united within a single file and are handled with a unified manner.
