  • Patent number: 7146776
Abstract: There is provided a heat shielding member for a thermal insulation structure which does not form a heat accumulator even if it receives a heating load from the outside and which is easily fixed and installed from the indoor side when it is applied to the thermal insulation structure between timbers such as rafters, vertical frames of a wall and the like of a house. The heat shielding member is structured such that spaces of the air layer are formed between an upper layer, an intermediate layer, and a lower layer, a radiant heat reflective layer is provided on upper faces of respective layers, and the upper layer is formed of a shape-retention upper sheet, wherein bent-up legs having restorability are disposed on both sides of the shape-retention upper sheet, and the heat shielding member is engaged and mounted between timbers such as rafters, and it is held in a proper posture when the bent-up legs are stretched against and held by faces of the timbers.

  • Patent number: 7117652
Abstract: A thatch eave member formed of a plurality of individual thatch elements, either natural or synthetic, having a backing member retaining a plurality of individual thatch elements such that the free ends present a generally planar exposed face, wherein the backing member is adapted for attachment along the eave of a roof such that the exposed face matches the ends of a lowermost thatched roofing shingle or roll to give the illusion of a thicker roof, and the system comprising the combination of such eave members and roof members.

  • Patent number: 7107724
Abstract: A method and apparatus is used to interchange certain seating areas within a sports stadium or arena with an entertainment stage on a temporary basis to support an alternate use of the facility such as for a religious event, civic gathering, or musical concert. Loss of revenue producing seats for a concert due to poor viewing access is minimized, since none of the remaining seats are blocked from viewing the entertainment stage. The seating sections are provided in self-supporting modules or risers of approximately one hundred seats (or equivalent bench seating area). The seating sections are moved with the aid of a mobile crane and specially designed trailers. These seating sections are stored on elevated landing racks located outside of the stadium. Entertainment stage sections with equivalent “footprint” configurations are stored on these same landing racks when they are not in use in the stadium.

  • Patent number: 7086207
Abstract: An antenna sector frame that can collapse for easy transport and storage. The antenna frame can be packaged with all of its loose parts in a single container on a relatively flat single skid capable of being stacked in storage. The antenna frame can include a pair of face frames configured to support one or more antennas, the face frames being joined to articulate on a face frame pivot axis such that the face frames can be folded together for compact shipment and storage and opened for use.

  • Patent number: 7047696
Abstract: A ground anchoring system and its method of attachment to the ground. The ground anchor device has a base frame with bottom surfaces that terminate in a common plane. A plurality of elongated slots are defined through the base frame. Anchor spikes are provided for extending through the elongated slots of the base frame. Each of the anchor spikes has a flat face surface, a flat rear surface and a predetermined thickness between the face surface and the rear surface that is at least half as wide as the face surface. A tether mount is connected to the base frame. Any tension applied to the tether mount is transferred to the base frame and the anchor spikes extending through the base frame, wherein the tension force acts at a perpendicular to the flat face surface of the anchor spikes.

  • Patent number: 7028434
Abstract: A thin flexible floor mat system is configured to resist penetration by high heeled shoes and be capable of being easily rolled up in long segments. The floor mat is constituted by a series of small square sections and are connected together with connectors that permit easy deployment and removal of the mat system by detaching segments of the mat from each other. The mat is flexible but resists penetration from high heels and other forms of traffic by virtue maintaining of a predetermined amount of flexibility through the use of auxiliary supports. Further stability is provided by one-piece ramp corners.
