Abstract: Web content based on markup language technology is delivered to a client device running a browser or similar application through a markup language file manipulator. Files requested by a client device are processed through the markup language file manipulator and the browser links embedded in the web content are traversed to fetch the objects associated with the browser links. The browser links are then replaced by the actual objects in the markup language file. The modified markup language file is then delivered to the client device and the client device is not required to further render the web content.

Abstract: A method of displaying an on-screen graphical user interface comprising reading data for a plurality of user-selectable icons associated with attributes and data for a plurality of content icons representing respective items of contents and generating image data for the on-screen graphical user-interface with a two-dimensional array which includes a first array comprising the plurality of user-selectable icons adapted to be arranged in a specific direction on a screen and which is also adapted to include a second array comprising the plurality of content icons in a direction intersecting the first array on the screen, and outputting the image data for the on-screen graphical user interface related to displaying the contents to a display device.

Abstract: A method of providing a continuous downloading service of large size content through a wireless network consisting of a mobile terminal and a content server is disclosed. In one aspect, the method comprises receiving a request; receiving a package list from the mobile terminal; comparing information of an individual file in the received package list and information of an individual file in the content server; and transmitting a required file list indicating at least one individual file having different information in the received package list and the stored package list to the mobile terminal, wherein the required file list comprises a content unified version. A download program installed in the mobile terminal receives the required file list and determines the continuous download.

Abstract: A computer system, including a display and a user-interface, for manipulating a plurality of music albums and songs with a method for organizing a plurality of music albums and songs, the method comprising displaying on the display a music album axis illustrating a plurality of juxtaposed user-selectable music albums, selecting a music album from the displayed music album axis, retrieving songs associated with the selected music album and displaying the retrieved songs along a song axis, the song axis being adapted to intersect the music album axis. A user graphical interface providing same and a system thereof are also provided.

The media content cross-reference presentation generator generates a set of presentation fields representing the gathered cross-reference identifiers.

Abstract: A system and method for adding features to an electronic file is provided. The electronic file can be automatically examined to identify information that relates to features such as navigational aids or enhanced content. Certain information is defined to represent the navigational aids or enhanced content. When the information representing the navigational aid or enhanced content is located in the electronic file, the navigational aid or enhanced content is added to the electronic file. Bookmarks, internal links, web links, attachments, digital signatures and multimedia files are some examples of navigational aids and enhanced content that may be added to the electronic file, although other items may also be included.

Abstract: Method for ordering nodes within hierarchical data. The concept of isolated ordered regions to maintain coordinates of nodes is used by associating each node with coordinates relative to a containing region. Modifications to nodes within a region only affect the nodes in that region, and not nodes in other regions. Traversals that retrieve information from the nodes can rebase the coordinates from their containing region and return with a total order.

Abstract: A technique for differencing XML documents is provided. An edit graph is generated for computing the cost of possible edits that may be applied to a first XML document in order to generate a second XML document. A hash value is assigned to nodes included in the axes of the edit graph, where one axis includes nodes in the first XML document and the other axis includes nodes in the second XML document. The hash value may be generated based on a particular node's name and attributes, and the hash value of the name and attributes of each child node of the particular node. A technique for patching an XML document is also provided. Events are generated for each node in the input document and for at least one operation specified in the edit script. The edit script is applied to the input document by performing one or more operations specified in the operation events on one or more node events.

Abstract: A scalable computing system for managing annotations is capable of handling requests for annotations to millions of documents a day. The computing system consists of multiple tiers of servers. A tier I server indicates whether there are annotations associated with a content source. A tier II server indexes the annotations. A tier III server stores the body of the annotation.

Abstract: There is described an image processing apparatus, which makes it possible to prevent a leakage of secrecy caused by the output operation of a report with image information, without loosing merits of the report with image information. The image processing apparatus includes: a report generating section to generate a report with image information, wherein the report shows a processing status of a job and the image information relates the job; a storage section to store the report with the image information; a reception section to accept an order for outputting the report with the image information stored in the storage section; an output section to output the report with the image information ordered at the reception section; and an inform section to inform that the report with the image information is generated, when the determining section determines that the report is the report with the image information.

Abstract: A streaming parser API expands a base parser by building an iterative method on top of the base parser. The iterative method allows a user to pass a selected element type to the base parser, which can step through the XML document until it locates a matching element. The base parser can then extract the element, process the element as an event, and place the event on an event stream for use by an application.

Abstract: A method for creating an electronic form for publication comprising responsive to first user input allowing a user to create the electronic form using a form-creating user interface wherein the user defines the fields and their values for the electronic form that is modeled after format information as specified by an entity; responsive to second user input allowing a user to fill in the electronic form to create a populated form; automatically creating the electronic message compliant with the format information; and transmitting the electronic message to the entity for publication. The user interface allows the user to create the form in compliant with the format information, thereby automating the process for flexible creation and publication of forms without a need to modify the software program for each entity, hence eliminating the manual process and saving time and money as well as creating more competition in the market.

Abstract: A browser-based web authoring tool that enables locally editing and rendering web pages comprising a master page and at least one content page and/or style sheets. Techniques are employed in one embodiment to identify areas of the web pages that correspond to master and content pages, such that when a user edits an element within an area, the browser-based web authoring tool can track whether the edit is made to the master page or one of the content pages.

Abstract: A method generates a document by: inserting one or more placeholders in the document; binding each placeholder to a content source; and compiling the placeholders into code to generate content for the document based on the content source.
