Abstract: Survey stakes that include a GPS receiver as well as other electronics are used to define a boundary for a wireless fencing system. A survey stake is placed at each vertex of a containment boundary that will be used for animal confinement. The stakes survey their location by taking repetitive GPS readings and averaging them over time. The location information is transferred to an electronic collar that is to be worn by a monitored animal. That information forms the basis for the boundary definition used by the collar during monitoring operations.

Abstract: An aquarium fish partition device separates an aggressive fish from other fish within an aquarium. The device includes a base, a top, and an inner perimeter wall extending between the base and the top defining a central interior space. An outer perimeter wall extends between the base and the top defining a medial space between the inner perimeter wall and the outer perimeter wall. Each of a plurality of slits extends through the inner perimeter wall wherein the central interior space is in fluid communication with the medial space. Each of a plurality of slots extends through the outer perimeter wall wherein the medial space is configured to be in fluid communication with an area outside of the outer perimeter wall. The slits are offset from the slots such that the inner perimeter wall and the outer perimeter wall are configured for retaining a fish in the central interior space.
Abstract: An edible pet chew has a member of meat based material. As a first aspect of present invention, the edible pet chew has a chewy sheet of meat based material. As another aspect, the edible pet chew has a meat based material chewy sheet member and additionally an edible material member being wrapped therein. As another aspect, the edible pet chew has an edible material member and additionally a meat based material chewy sheet member being wrapped therein. As another aspect, the edible pet chew has a THREE-DIMENSIONAL-SHAPE meat based material member and additionally an edible material member wrapped therein. As another aspect, the edible pet chew has an edible material member and additionally a THREE-DIMENSIONAL-SHAPE meat based material member wrapped therein. Other aspects of present invention provide a method for making the edible pet chew with the essential member of meat based material chewy sheet member or THREE-DIMENSIONAL-SHAPE member.
Abstract: Embodiments are described for a closed-loop, vertical garden system for growing plants and filtering air and water comprising: a support structure; a composite, grow media configured to physically support the growth of plants and distribute water to the roots of the plants through capillary action through the area of the grow media; a water source coupled to the grow media through a pump and plumbing system, wherein the plumbing system is configured to draw water from the water source through the grow media and back to the water source in substantially closed loop aquatic system; and an air flow subsystem configured to draw outside air through the plants and transmit filtered air back out of the support structure.
Abstract: Animal litter having up to a sixty percent reduction in bulk density can be produced by combining flat-shaped cellulosic materials and sodium bentonite clay. Not only is the resulting litter lighter, but it also maintains a high clump strength as compared to clay-based animal litters that contain greater than ninety percent by weight sodium bentonite clay.

Abstract: A simple alternative to separate filamentous bodies of Monostroma latissimum algae (large green algae) as seed stock. The filamentous bodies are easily separated and prepared for cultivation. At low luminosity (50 ?m mole s?1m?2), the filamentous bodies grow into the filamentous colony. If the filamentous colony is in turns irradiated at the luminosity greater than 100 ?m mole s?1m?2, it is turning into fronds. Thereby the filamentous bodies are evenly distributed into small segments so as to penetrate through the cotton rope for algal mass cultivation and further grow into fronds at high luminosity.
