Patent number: 11966363Abstract: Disclosed is a new identifier allocation approach for allocating repository object identifiers beyond a maximum number usually allowed for a single repository. The new identifier allocation approach includes an enhanced identifier structure in which a portion usually reserved for a docbase identifier is modified to combine with a partition identifier. The actual docbase identifier is stored in a server configuration file. When the maximum number of object identifiers has been allocated, a new partition is created and a sequence table is updated with a new entry that reflects the new partition. A new repository object identifier is allocated using the docbase identifier combined with the new partition identifier. In this way, more than 4 billion objects per object type can be addressed uniquely within a docbase by creating new partitions. This new approach is very unique and flexible in accommodating both on premises and multi-tenant environments.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 2021Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: OPEN TEXT HOLDINGS, INC.Inventors: Pulla Rayudu Garaga, Satya Sai Chaitanya Patchigolla

Patent number: 11934356Abstract: A client machine writes to and reads from a virtual disk on a remote storage platform. Metadata is generated and stored in replicas on different metadata nodes of the storage platform. A modified log-structured merge tree is used to store and compact string-sorted tables of metadata. During file storage and compaction, a consistent file identification scheme is used across all metadata nodes. A fingerprint file is calculated for each SST (metadata) file on disk that includes hash values corresponding to regions of the SST file. To synchronize, the fingerprint files of two SST files are compared, and if any hash values are missing from a fingerprint file, then the key-value-timestamp triples corresponding to these missing hash values are sent to the SST file that is missing them. The SST file is compacted with the missing triples to create a new version of the SST file. The synchronization is bi-directional.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Commvault Systems, Inc.Inventors: Avinash Lakshman, Lasaro Camargos, Deepak Jain

Patent number: 11934472Abstract: In an example, first entities are extracted from user profiles. Second entities are extracted from content information associated with content item. User-associated metrics associated with the first entities are determined based upon the user profiles and/or content events. First vector representations of the first entities and second vector representations of the second entities are processed to generate an attention distribution array. Each value of the attention distribution array represents, for a user interested in an entity of the first entities, a proportion of (i) entity-specific activity, of the user, related to an entity of the second entities relative to (ii) an entirety of activity of the user. An inferred activity distribution array is generated by applying the user-associated metrics to the attention distribution array. A filtered subset of activity distribution values is generated by pruning values from the inferred activity distribution array.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Yahoo Assets LLCInventors: Yufeng Ma, Rao Shen, Kostas Tsioutsiouliklis, Donghyun Kim, Liuqing Li
