  • Patent number: 11509624
Abstract: A local area network tracking system and method of use is described herein. An exemplary embodiment of the system comprises a central tracker server that registers and tracks third-party vendor kiosks when the kiosks connect to a retail store local area network. The unique tracker server system is configured to efficiently route web application traffic on the same retail store local area network. The tracker server stores a local IP address and a unique identifier for each vendor kiosk connected to a particular retail store network. Customers connected to the network are routed to the tracker server to obtain the IP address for a suitable vendor kiosk, with which the customer can establish a direct wireless connection to that kiosk over the retail store network. The system described herein can be implemented without modifying any aspect of the retail store LAN infrastructure.

  • Patent number: 11509725
Abstract: Systems and methods for selecting tiering protocols based on data transmissions over mesh networks within defined spatial areas can be provided. A mesh network can be established within a defined spatial area. Each network device within the mesh network can be a user device or a supernode. Further, a wireless communication link can be established between the user devices and supernodes. A plurality of tiered protocols for tiering data transmissions can be accessed. Data to be transmitted over the mesh network can be analyzed to determine which tiered protocol to select. Path data that identifies a routing path from the a user device to a supernode can be generated, and the data can be transmitted according to the path data.

  • Patent number: 11503112
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosed subject matter are directed to facilitating peer-to-peer data exchange in a common domain. In accordance with one embodiment, a method is provided for obtaining content from one or more peers that are connected to the domain. The method includes registering a peer with a super-peer when a connection to the domain is established. Then, the connecting peer obtains data that describes various network conditions and identifies chunks of content available from other peers. In downloading content from other peers, heuristics are applied to select between available chunks that are potentially encoded at different bitrates. The heuristics account for the network conditions between peers and balance the potential need to quickly access content with the desire to obtain high quality content.

  • Patent number: 11503132
Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking media file playback are provided. A request to upload a media file and metadata associated with the media file is received. Next, the media file and metadata is uploaded via a blockchain protocol. Next, a request to play the media file is received from a client device or a digital service provider (DSP) platform. The request to play the media file is validated via the blockchain protocol. Upon validating the request to play the media file, the media file is transmitted for playback at the client device or DSP platform. Last, the number of times the media file is played is tracked via the blockchain protocol.

  • Patent number: 11494243
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to enabling access transaction systems to accept different communication protocols. In some embodiment, an access device receives, from a portable device, an indication that a transaction is to be performed by exchanging transaction information between the portable device and a remote computer, wherein the remote computer is configured to communicate using a first communication protocol. Next, the access device determines that the portable device is configured to communicate using a second communication protocol. The access device then converts communications between the portable device and the remote computer from the second communication protocol to the first communication protocol to assist the portable device and the remote computer in exchanging the transaction information.

  • Patent number: 11481300
Abstract: Automated processes and systems for detecting abnormally behaving objects of a distributed computing system are described. Processes and systems obtain metrics that are generated in a historical time window and are associated with an object of the distributed computing system. Processes and system use the metrics to compute a time-dependent system indicator over the historical time window. Each value of the system indicator corresponds to a point in time of the historical time window when the object was in a normal or an abnormal state. Processes and systems use the normal and abnormal states of the system indicator in the historical time window to train a state classifier that is used to detect run-time abnormal behavior of the object. When the state classifier identifies abnormal behavior of the object, an alert is generated, indicating the abnormal behavior of the object.

  • Patent number: 11477281
Abstract: Methods and systems for delivering data for cluster computing are described herein. A worker device may receive a dataset and store the dataset in a local storage media. This may prevent the need for the dataset to be sent over a network each time the applications are used to perform a task. Each application may be able to access the dataset in the local storage area. This may prevent the need to copy the dataset to memory associated with each application. A worker device may store a dataset, for example, if it determines that the frequency of updates to the dataset satisfy a threshold. The worker device may receive updates to the dataset via a messaging system and may store the updated data in the local storage media.
