Abstract: A device performing operations including instantiating at least one vENUM instance, wherein the at least one vENUM instance responds to a query by determining if at least one of: a service or a record is operating; when the at least one of: the service or the record is operating, initiating, by the at least one vENUM instance, a query for the at least one of the service or the record; defining at least one virtual availability zone; instantiating a propagation module responsible for the at least one virtual availability zone, wherein the propagation module communicates with a database associated with the virtual availability zone and a name server, and updates the database based on the determining step of the at least one vENUM instance; instantiating a provisioning module within the propagation module.

Abstract: Systems and methods of registering geocodes with a geofence and delivering geocodes which define geofences to devices are described herein. Geocodes include strings of words, letters, numbers, and combinations thereof. Geocodes associated with the same or similar geofences are cohesive and provide for improved location information, with IP addresses being assigned to the geocodes.

Abstract: Guest-to-host virtual networking can include linking a virtual entity proxy to a network adapter of a host machine through a virtual bridge. In response to a request that starts a guest running on the host machine, the guest can be configured to point to the virtual entity proxy and to communicatively couple to a network through the virtual entity proxy linked to the network adapter of the host machine. The virtual entity proxy can be bound to the network, such that the virtual entity proxy intermediates communications between the guest and one or more other guests running on one or more different host machines that are also communicatively coupled to the network.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for remote access smartphone services are described. The mobile operating system and smartphone applications are stripped out of smartphone hardware and stored as a virtual smartphone instance at a host server. The virtual smartphone instance remains addressable by a phone number. A specialized portable interface device (such as a smartglasses device, a smartwatch, or an adapted smartphone device) remotely accesses the virtual smartphone instance through a cellular or internet connection and utilizes the smartphone applications to deploy smartphone services, including messaging and phone calling via the phone number. The systems, devices, and methods are extended to include a cellular telecommunications content delivery network comprising multiple portable interface devices all remotely accessing respective virtual smartphone instances corresponding to unique phone numbers, with virtual smartphone instances edge cached in relation to the portable interface devices.

Abstract: In general, techniques are described for providing user nomadicity in wireline broadband networks. A network device positioned in a wireline broadband network comprising a processor and an interface may be configured to perform the techniques. The processor may be configured to execute a first virtual customer premises equipment to provide, to a first subscriber, access to the wireline broadband network from a first subscription point in accordance with a first subscription. The processor may also be configured to provide, to a second subscriber, access to the wireline broadband network from the first subscription point in accordance with a second subscription. The interface may be configured to forward, in accordance with the first subscription, traffic received from the first subscription point and associated with the first subscriber, and forward, in accordance with the second subscription, traffic received from the first subscription point and associated with the second subscriber.

Abstract: Network management techniques are described. A controller device of this disclosure manages a device group of a network. The controller device includes processing circuitry in communication with the memory, the processing circuitry being configured to receive, using a programmable diagnosis service executed by the processing circuitry, a programming input, to form, using the programmable diagnosis service, based on the programming input, a resource definition graph that models interdependencies between a plurality of resources supported by the device group, to detect, using the programmable diagnosis service, an event affecting a first resource of the plurality of resources, and to identify, using the programmable diagnosis service, based on the interdependencies modeled in the resource definition graph formed based on the programming input, a root cause event that caused the event affecting the first resource, the root cause event occurring at a second resource of the plurality of resources.

Abstract: A system, computer-readable media and computer-implemented method for automated, dynamic capacity planning using HTTP response header fields. The computer-implemented method includes: automatically determining a server workload statistic relating to operation of a server, the server being configured to serve a content item in response to HTTP-formatted requests; automatically determining an expiration value based at least in part on the workload server statistic; automatically updating a configuration file corresponding to the content item with the expiration value; receiving a request for the content item from a requesting device; automatically accessing the configuration file and generating a HTTP-formatted response header incorporating the expiration value; and, automatically transmitting the HTTP-formatted response header and the content item in response to the request.

Abstract: A message management service allows a user to access and manage messages from various message services. The user can access the message management service using a message management client application executing on a client device and can draft messages using the message management client application and send the messages through the different message services. The message management service can add information to messages sent using the message management client application that can be used to identify and organize the messages. A secure sent-message identifier can be added to messages sent by the message management service to reliably indicate that the messages were sent by the message management service.

Abstract: A method implemented in an e-commerce system to facilitate transactions between a customer and a vendor using embedded forms includes requesting by a vendor system to an e-commerce system to generate an embedded form for use in an SMTP email campaign. The method further includes transmitting emails with embedded forms including at least one token by the vendor system to a customer device. The method further includes rendering the embedded form in email to the customer device and receiving a response email, wherein the response email includes input details requested in the specified input fields and a token; authenticating the response email; decoding the token and processing a transaction based on the customer input details requested in the specified input fields of the embedded form.

Abstract: A method performed at a server configured to onboard devices in a conference room includes: receiving a log-in request from a user device; receiving a request from the user device for a first activation code for activating devices for use in the conference room; transmitting the first activation code to the user device; receiving a first request from a first device in the conference room for authorization to be used in the conference room, the first request including a second activation code; determining whether the second activation code matches the first activation code; if the second activation code matches the first activation code, authorizing the first device for use in the conference room; and if the second activation code does not match the first activation code, denying the first device for use in the conference room.

Abstract: A processing device can receive a request directed to an application such as a service and parse the request to determine a version identifier based on the content of the request. The processing device can acquire a version label corresponding to at least one instance of the application from among multiple instances of the application and match the version label and the version identifier, providing automatic detection and routing of a request to an instance of an application with the correct version. The computing device can store version labels and routing rules for each instance among the multiple instances of the application deployed in the network prior to receiving requests, or determine version labels and routing when a request is received.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to methods and systems for enforcing at least one rule within a geofence. The rule is enforced by a fencing agent on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The geofence is defined by a plurality of geographic designators, with the plurality of geographic designators each being associated with an Internet Protocol (IP) address, preferably an IPv6 address.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for detecting and using mood-condition affinities. A processor that executes an affinity service or affinity application can obtain collected data associated with a user device. The collected data can include sensor readings collected by the user device. The processor can determine a condition at the user device and a mood associated with the condition. The processor can generate an affinity that defines a relationship between the condition and the mood and store the affinity at a data storage device.

Abstract: A local cache content management is configured to improve the speed and reliability of access of the content management system across poor or intermittent connections. Additional techniques are used to allow document use and storage when the content management system is unavailable, and to maintain synchronization between the local cache and the content management system.

Abstract: In some examples, a server may determine that a case, created to address an issue of a computing device, is closed and perform an analysis of a communication session between a user and a technician and the steps taken by the technician to resolve the issue. Machine learning may be used on results of the analysis to predict potential pain points. For example, steps that take longer than average and during which particular words spoken by the user increase in pitch and/or volume may be predicted to be potential pain points. The machine learning may create questions for inclusion in a custom survey based on the potential pain points. The custom survey may be presented to the user. The answers may be correlated with the potential pain points to determine actual pain points in the steps taken to resolve the issue.

Abstract: A content-generating user is enabled to set visible attributes for a content item from any device so that the content item maintains a uniform look and feel across the various platforms. The visible attributes set by the generating user are stored in the user's profile on a user profile database. When a request to display the content item is received from a client device, the platform associated with the request is determined. Display data comprising one or more of the visible attributes retrieved from the user profile database, the content item and a template based on the platform is transmitted to the client device. The client device configures a display of the content item to a viewer based on the received display data.

Abstract: Methods of processing a packet, APs, ACs and non-transitory machine-readable storage mediums are provided in examples of the present disclosure. In one aspect, an AP receives an Internet-of-Things data packet sent by an Internet-of-Things sensor, wherein a sensor identifier of the Internet-of-Things sensor is carried in the Internet-of-Things data packet; and sends the received Internet-of-Things data packet to an AC such that the AC processes the Internet-of-Things data packet based on the sensor identifier.

Abstract: A method is provided for using an extended workstation. The method includes: determining a first object and a second object suitable for being used by a user, the extended workstation including each object determined during the step of determining the first object and the second object; determining a technical resource of the second object and determining an access giving access to the resource enabling the resource to be used; storing in a server an identifier of the determined technical resource in association with an identifier of the second object and an identifier of the access for accessing the resource; and using the technical resource by the first object via the access giving access to the resource.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for automatically registering a user in a desk-share environment comprising a plurality of desks, each desk being equipped with an IP telephone connected to a communication network, in particular, to a local area network, wherein the IP telephone holds a data base comprising data of all desk-share users of the desk-share environment, the data comprising at least a user ID and a MAC address of a terminal device for each user assigned to a user profile, the method comprising the steps of: receiving, at the IP telephone, an IP data packet from a first terminal device via the communication network; verifying the MAC address in the IP data packet received from the first terminal device; and when the MAC address corresponds to a MAC address in the data of the data base, activating the user profile assigned to the MAC address in the IP telephone.

Abstract: Database queries are processed by a first client storing cached data. The first client and a second client host a probabilistic model yielding validity values associating with the cached data indicating a probability that the cached data stored coincides with corresponding original data. The first client randomly selects queries at the time the respective query is received from one of the plurality of clients. For each of the queries randomly selected, a first piece of the cached data stored at the first client and matching the randomly selected query is retrieved, and a first piece of the original data matching the randomly selected query from the at least one original data source is retrieved. The probabilistic model is adapted using a machine learning algorithm based on the retrieved first piece of the cached data and the retrieved first piece of the original data and made available to the second client.
