Abstract: Embodiments in accordance with the present invention encompass compositions encompassing a latent catalyst and a thermal or photoactivator along with one or more monomers which undergo ring open metathesis polymerization (ROMP) when said composition is heated to a temperature from 50° C. to 100° C. or higher to form a substantially transparent film. Alternatively the compositions of this invention also undergo polymerization when subjected to suitable radiation. The monomers employed therein have a range of refractive index from 1.4 to 1.6 and thus these compositions can be tailored to form transparent films of varied refractive indices. The compositions of this invention further comprises inorganic nanoparticles which form transparent films and further increases the refractive indices of the compositions. Accordingly, compositions of this invention are useful in various opto-electronic applications, including as coatings, encapsulants, fillers, leveling agents, among others.

Abstract: Methods of determining which kinematic model an autonomous vehicle (AV) should use to predict motion of a detected moving actor are disclosed. One or more sensors of the AV sensors will detect a moving actor. The AV will assign one or more probable classes to the actor, and it will process the information to determine a kinematic state of the actor. The system will query a library of kinematic models to return one or more kinematic models that are associated with each of the probable classes. The system will apply each of the returned kinematic models to predict trajectories of the actor. The system will then evaluate each of the forecasted trajectories of the actor against the kinematic state of the actor to select one of the returned kinematic models to predict a path for the actor. The system will then use the predicted path to plan motion of the AV.
Abstract: Various examples are provided related to systems and processes for generating verified wireframes corresponding to at least part of a structure or element of interest can be generated from 2D images, 3D representations (e.g., a point cloud), or a combination thereof. The wireframe can include one or more features that correspond to a structural aspect of the structure or element of interest. The verification can comprise projecting or overlaying the generated wireframe over selected 2D images and/or a point cloud that incorporates the one or more features. The wireframe can be adjusted by a user and/or a computer to align the 2D images and/or 3D representations thereto, thereby generating a verified wireframe including at least a portion of the structure or element of interest. The verified wireframes can be used to generate wireframe models, measurement information, reports, construction estimates or the like.

Abstract: A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes an input interface, a first storage, a display, and a processor. Pixel values corresponding to a predetermined number of lines in an image input through the input interface are stored in the first storage. The processor acquires a first patch of a predetermined size by sampling a number of pixel values located in an outer region of a matrix centering about a specific pixel value from among the pixel values stored in the first storage, acquires a high-frequency component for the specific pixel value based on the acquired first patch, and processes the input image based on the high-frequency component. The display displays the processed image.
