  • Patent number: 11481956
Abstract: A medical image processing apparatus according to embodiments includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry acquires three-dimensional medical image data in which a structure of a subject is rendered. The processing circuitry sets an eye point and an eye direction in the three-dimensional medical image data, generates two-dimensional first medical image data from the three-dimensional medical image data, and generates two-dimensional second medical image data in which display manners differ between a first portion on the opposite side to the eye point side in the eye direction of the structure rendered in the two-dimensional first medical image data and a second portion on the eye point side of the structure rendered in the two-dimensional first medical image data. The processing circuitry displays a medical image represented by the second medical image data on a display.

  • Patent number: 11474660
Abstract: Techniques for gradually transitioning a user to a second navigation scheme while using a first navigation scheme in a 3D design application that generates and displays a 3D virtual environment. The design application initially implements the first navigation scheme and a set of function tools of the standard navigation scheme. The design application monitors for a set of patterns of navigation actions during use of the first-person navigation scheme, each pattern being performed more efficiently when using the standard navigation scheme. Upon detecting a pattern using the first-person navigation scheme, the design application may switch to the standard navigation scheme. Also, upon detecting selection of a function tool, the design application may switch to the standard navigation scheme during use of the function tool. When the function tool is closed, the design application may switch back to the first-person navigation scheme.

  • Patent number: 11410633
Abstract: Among other things, one or more client devices, techniques, and/or systems are provided for orientation selection. A first user and a second user are detected within a range of a detection component, such as a camera, of a client device. A position of a face of the first user is identified relative to a screen of the client device (e.g., near a right side). A second position of a second face of the second user is identified relative to the screen (e.g., near a left side). An element of an application, displayed by the client device, is presented in a first orientation (e.g., a landscape orientation facing to the right side) based upon the position of the face and a second element of the application is presented in a second orientation (e.g., the landscape orientation facing to the left side) based upon the second position of the second face.

  • Patent number: 11373368
Abstract: Two-dimensional aerial images and other geo-spatial information are processed to produce land classification data, vector data and attribute data for buildings found within the images. This data is stored upon a server computer within shape files, and also stored are source code scripts describing how to reconstruct a type of building along with compiled versions of the scripts. A software game or simulator executes upon a client computer in which an avatar moves within a landscape. A classifier classifies a type of building in the shape file to execute the appropriate script. Depending upon its location, a scene composer downloads a shape file and a compiled script is executed in order to reconstruct any number of buildings in the vicinity of the avatar. The script produces a three-dimensional textured mesh which is then rendered upon a screen of the client computer to display a two-dimensional representation of the building.

  • Patent number: 11259874
Abstract: A method of generating a custom three-dimensional model of a bone is disclosed. A 2D image of the bone is obtained and an orientation and scale of the 2D image are aligned to a pre-determined coordinate system. Based on the 2D image, a representative bone is identified from a library of representative bones that are aligned to the pre-determined coordinate system. Based on the 2D image, an ideal view of a 3D model of the representative bone is selected. Modifications may be made to the 3D model by using additional representative bones from the library. A custom three-dimensional model of the bone is thereby generated.

  • Patent number: 11244513
Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to a method of realistic rendering of a real object as a virtual object in a virtual space using an offset in the position of the hand in a three-dimensional (3D) sensory space. An offset between expected positions of the eye(s) of a wearer of a head mounted device and a sensor attached to the head mounted device for sensing a position of at least one hand in a three-dimensional (3D) sensory space is determined. A position of the hand in the three-dimensional (3D) sensory space can be sensed using a sensor. The sensed position of the hand can be transformed by the offset into a re-rendered position of the hand as would appear to the wearer of the head mounted device if the wearer were looking at the actual hand. The re-rendered hand can be depicted to the wearer of the head mounted device.

  • Patent number: 11166781
Abstract: Systems, methods and software are provided for aiding in positioning of a camera relative to objects in a surgical environment. The camera has a 3D field of view and senses positions of the objects in the field of view. A controller is coupled to the camera and defines a first zone and a second zone within the field of view. Each zone defines a range of acceptable positions for one of the objects relative to a position of the camera. The controller receives the position of the objects. A graphical user interface displays image representations of: the field of view, the first zone relative to the field of view, the second zone relative to the field of view, the position of one object relative to the first zone, and the position of another object relative to the second zone.

  • Patent number: 11164392
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a design application receives in its graphical user interface (GUI) user input specifying a boundary of a design region of a 3-D reality model of a site. A ground detection process detects a plurality of ground points within the design region that represent ground. A terrain creation process generates a 2.5D terrain mesh for the design region. A clipping process clips around the design region to show the 2.5D terrain mesh within the design region. A CAD modeling process is then used to place one or more 3-D CAD objects that represent planned infrastructure upon the 2.5D terrain mesh within the design region. The design application displays in the GUI the created combined view including the 3-D CAD objects placed upon the 2.5D terrain mesh within the design region, surrounded by a remaining part of the 3-D reality model that provides context.
