  • Patent number: 11487108
Abstract: Disclosed is an interchangeable conversion lens for underwater photography or cinematography able to change from macro to wide angle photographic perspectives and consists of a sequential assembly of optical lens elements. This conversion lens includes an objective lens, a relay lens and a focusing unit which are positioned on an optical axis and are interrelated in their optical performance to one another. The objective lens is to form an intermediate image (reversed and inverted) from wide angle perspective to half the size of the sensor in the camera, this intermediate image is then transmitted through the relay lens and the focusing unit which projects the image through a macro lens into the sensor of a camera. The three parts can be disassembled and reassembled underwater, all three separate parts are waterproof and therefore the optical performance of water is taken into consideration in the optical system.

  • Patent number: 11467433
Abstract: Described herein is a polymorphic display, which is a unitary apparatus constructed such that a wide variety of electro-optic functions are enabled. The polymorphic display, even when having multiple pixels, enables sharing of selected structures among the pixels. In a multi-pixel construction, there is a set of pixels in the display that exhibit one set of operable properties, such as particular stability, sequencing, and switching properties, and another set of pixels that are different from the first set. That is, they have different stability, sequencing, or switching properties. In such a way, a highly flexible polymorphic display may be construed to satisfy a wide range of display needs.

  • Patent number: 11444435
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of laser technology and can be used for more efficient optical pumping of laser media in laser generators and amplifiers. The invention can be used for the efficient optical pumping of practically all types of lasers, provided that the absorption profile of the pumped medium is sufficiently broadband. The invention discloses a method and device for combining at least two laser beams of different wavelengths, the polarization states of which are substantially orthogonal, into an exit beam by using a polarizing beamsplitter which spatially combines two beams in mutually orthogonal polarization states, and then changing the polarization state of one of the beams relative to the other using a spectrally selective polarization filter such that the polarization state of the exit beam becomes substantially identical for all of the wavelengths of the exit beam, thus permitting the subsequent combining thereof with another beam.
