  • Patent number: 11322046
Abstract: A method for managing a language speaking lesson on a network is implemented through the steps of: receiving, by a management server, a request for registering a voice recording task of a learner from an instructor terminal; receiving, by the management server, voice recording data from a terminal of a learner who has confirmed the voice recording task; and receiving, by the management server, recording data for pronunciation correction of the voice recording data from the instructor terminal. By this method, the learner may be sufficiently given an opportunity to practice speaking a foreign language in a course of performing the voice recording task. In addition, the learner may repeatedly listen to the recording data for pronunciation correction directly recorded by the instructor for his or her foreign language pronunciation.

  • Patent number: 11264139
Abstract: The present teaching relates to surgical procedure planning. In one example, at least one 3D object contained in a 3D volume is rendered on a display screen. The at least one 3D object includes a 3D object corresponding to an organ. First information related to a 3D pose of a surgical instrument positioned with respect to the at least one 3D object is received from a user. A 3D representation of the surgical instrument is rendered in the 3D volume based on the first information. Second information related to a setting of the surgical instrument is received from the user. A 3D treatment zone in the 3D volume with respect to the at least one 3D object is estimated based on the first and second information. The 3D treatment zone in the 3D volume is visualized on the display screen. Controls associated with the 3D representation of the surgical instrument and/or the 3D treatment zone are provided to facilitate the user to dynamically adjust the 3D treatment zone via the controls.

  • Patent number: 11256467
Abstract: A connected classroom system provides for local and remote control and display of media streams. An instructor may, for instance, direct audio/video streams of the instructor to any number of displays and speakers located within a classroom. The system may send and receive control instructions to and from remote classrooms as well, through a network interface. The control instructions may configure any set of presentation devices in any classroom to reproduce any content originating from any source within any classroom. Accordingly, multiple classrooms located in disparate locations may participate in media exchanges arising from any source, including instructors and individual student seating locations within the classrooms.

  • Patent number: 11244575
Abstract: Providing targeted, evidence-based recommendations to improve digital content quality, in one aspect, may include partitioning digital content into a sequence of logical content modules. Quality scores for the logical content modules along a plurality of quality dimensions may be determined. User interactions with the digital content on a user interface are monitored. Raw events generated from user interaction in accessing the digital content are captured. Raw event patterns for the logical content modules are detected. The raw event patterns of user interaction are transformed into a set of dynamic states representing potential user experience and performance. The set of dynamic states are associated with a respective logical content module. The quality dimensions of the logical content modules and associated quality scores are correlated with the dynamic states.
