Abstract: A core wire for multi-core cables includes a conductor obtained by twisting a plurality of elemental wires, and an insulating layer coated on an outer peripheral surface of the conductor. The insulating layer contains polyethylene-based resin as a main component, and the product of a linear expansion coefficient C1 of the insulating layer in the range of 25° C. to ?35° C. and an elastic modulus E1 at ?35° C., namely (C1×E1), is 0.01 MPaK?1 or more and 0.90 MPaK?1 or less. The melting point of the polyethylene-based resin is 80° C. or higher and 130° C. or lower.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an armoured AC cable comprising at least one core comprising an electric conductor, and an armour surrounding the at least one core and comprising ferromagnetic wires, wherein the ferromagnetic wires are permanently magnetized with a remanent magnetic field which is uniform or variable along the cable length L. The present disclosure also relates to a process for producing an armoured AC cable, a method for improving the performances of an armoured AC cable, and a method for reducing losses in an armoured AC cable.

Abstract: A bending-resistant communication cable includes a parallel two-core shielded wire that includes a drain wire in a gap between two-core communication wires and is formed by collectively covering the two-core communication wires and the drain wire by an external conductor. Each of the drain wires in a plurality of parallel two-core shielded wire is arranged to face inside of the bending-resistant communication cable. Abstract: A connector includes: a number of busbars; a housing holding of the busbars; and a cover mounted on the housing. The busbars each have a fastening target portion to connect a terminal metal fitting by using a bolt. The fastening target portion is housed in a housing room, and a number of the housing rooms is defined between the housing and the cover. One of the housing rooms corresponding to the fastening target portion of one of the busbars and another of the housing rooms corresponding to the fastening target portion of another of the busbars are separated with a partition wall, and at least part of the partition wall has a liquid-tight portion formed by engaging a projection of one of the housing and the cover with a recess of the other of the housing and the cover.
Abstract: A resin composition contains a resin component containing a copolymer of olefin and a comonomer having polarity and an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer. The resin component is cross-linked and the tensile stress at 19% strain is 2.0 MPa or less. The resin composition has a sea-island structure in which the copolymer of olefin and a comonomer having polarity is the continuous phase, and the ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer is the dispersed phase.
Abstract: A dielectric isolator for a twisted pair cable includes a body formed as an elongate strip with a top surface, bottom surface, a first side edge and a second side edge. A first slot is formed in the first side edge and extends at least half way toward the center of the isolator. A second slot is formed in the second side edge and extends at least half way toward the center of the isolator. During cable manufacturing, first and second wedges open the first and second slots. First and second twisted pairs are inserted into the first and second opened slots, respectively. Third and fourth twisted pairs reside at the top and bottom surface, respectively.

An outer diameter of the cable may be less than 8.5 mm, and the cable may be capable of transmitting data within an operating frequency range of up to 2.5 GHz over a distance of at least 100 m.

In some embodiments, the conductor has a single conductor strand. In some embodiments, the conductor has a plurality of conductor strands. In some embodiments, the wire has an insulator jacket having a plurality of channels therein, where a conductor is passed through the center channel, and reinforcing threads are passed through the other channels.
