  • Patent number: 6485271
Abstract: A body supporting apparatus is provided for motored compressors. The body supporting apparatus includes two coil springs that connect a seat spring of a stator to a seat spring of a lower casing holding the stator thereon, The two coil springs thus stably support the stator on the lower casing. A cylindrical spring guider is set between the two coil springs with an annular support ring formed around the central portion of the internal surface of the guide and supporting the two coil springs on opposite surfaces thereof within the guider. Two coil seat chambers are formed in the cylindrical guider at positions above and under the support ring and communicate with each other through a central opening of the support ring. The two coil springs are movably received within the two coil seas chambers such that the elastic compressive and tensile movement of the two coil springs are axially and stably guided within the associated chambers of the guider without being undesirably moved in a transverse direction.

  • Patent number: 6461115
Abstract: A suction chamber for use in a pumping system has a motor and a pump. The suction chamber is positioned between the motor and the pump in the pumping system and has a seal assembly. The seal assembly seals the shaft to prevent fluid from leaking through a motor end of the suction chamber. The seal assembly may be removed and replaced through the pump, or wet end of the suction chamber so that any parts, including thrust bearing chamber and/or the motor positioned on the motor end of the suction chamber are not moved during the removal and replacement of the sealing assembly. This permits removal and replacement of the sealing assembly without necessitating the need for realigning the motor, thrust bearing chamber and other parts on the motor side of the suction chamber which alleviates the risk of vibration that might occur due to the removal and then improper realignment of the motor, bearings and/or other equipment on the motor side of the suction chamber.

  • Patent number: 6457950
Abstract: A pump is disclosed, including a motor and a pump housing, for pumping mixed gas and liquid. The pump includes two intermeshed screw members for providing progressive cavities for transporting mixed fluids, within a pumping cavity, from a suction passage to a discharge reservoir of the pump housing. It further uses pumped product to provide cooling and lubrication to the motor and to bearings and timing gears of the screw members. By using pumped product for lubrication and cooling, the need for seals is eliminated, thereby reducing the need for maintenance. This makes the pump package advantageous for subsea deployment for use in pumping nearly depleted wells which may be manifolded together to provide adequate product flow.

  • Patent number: 6434945
Abstract: A dual fuel nozzle is provided with two different size injection holes. The first injection holes have larger diameters and are used only for injecting gaseous fuel into a combustion chamber. On the other hand, the second injection nozzles have smaller diameters and are used for injecting either gaseous fuel or liquid fuel as required. When gaseous fuel is used, if the fuel injection amount is large or medium, both of the first and the second injection holes or first injection holes only are used for injecting gaseous fuel depending upon the required fuel injection amount. When the fuel injection amount is low, only the second injection hole is used for injecting gaseous fuel. Therefore, the pressure drop across the fuel nozzle can be kept at sufficiently high level even when the fuel injection amount is low, and thereby combustion vibration is suppressed. Further, when liquid fuel is used, a premixed fuel and steam mixture is injected from the second injection holes.

  • Patent number: 6425741
Abstract: A variable capacity type compressor has a swash plate which can incline with respect to the drive shaft. An angle decreasing spring urges the swash plate to decrease the inclination angle and a return spring urges the swash plate to increase the inclination angle from the minimum inclination angle beyond the limit angle. The minimum inclination angle is smaller than a limit angle at which the swash plate can be assuredly returned in the direction to increase the inclination angle by a reaction force of the discharge pressure, and the angle decreasing spring balances with the return spring at an angle greater than the limit angle. A minimum spring load (F0) of the return spring is greater than 20N. A maximum spring load (F100) of the angle decreasing spring is F100(N)=(180±30)−4×(VD−120).

  • Patent number: 6419460
Abstract: The present invention relates to a drive mechanism for a pump (10) implemented by means of a drive motor (20), the rotational speed and torque of which are influenced by a frequency converter (30). The frequency converter (30) is arranged on a heat dissipator (40) confining a flow of the pressure liquid guided to the pump (10). It is advantageous to also arrange the drive motor (20) inside the said heat dissipator (40), for this makes it possible to perform intense forced air cooling of a pump-drive motor system without the necessity of an additional cooling liquid. The drive motor (20) preferably has a central arrangement inside a tubular heat dissipator and is exposed to the pressure liquid over its entire circumference. Baffles or offset connecting sleeves allow for uniform flow through the entire heat dissipator (40).

  • Patent number: 6413054
Abstract: A fuel injection pump having a cam drive and an injection adjuster piston, acting on the cam drive and serving the purpose of an injection onset adjustment. The injection adjuster piston on a face end encloses at least one pressure chamber that via a control valve is either made to communicate with a pressure source or a relief line or can be closed entirely. The control valve is actuated by an a proportional electromagnet. As a result, only a little adjusting medium is required, to obtain a high efficiency of the injection onset adjustment, and advantageously the injection adjuster piston is stressed only axially, and frictional forces on the circumference of the injection adjuster piston are thus avoided.
